This is why I love the AC open world games. They are a masterpiece in world design and environmental design. They just know how to make you feel and engulf you within that era.
Tbf Ghost of Tsushima landscape is amazing but we’re blinded by the fog of war in many parts of the map it sucks, and I think AC Shadows did the villages and towns better than GoT

All in all, it makes sense, given that Yasuke is supposed to be a giant brute wearing a full body armor. Check out the extra footage some youtubers have shown though, the part with his combat is short but could give you a better idea of how approximately fast/slow he will be, at least with some weapons.

I see your point but it's not really relevant to say things like that, it's not the exact same individuals that work on these games each time. You should look at who is the game director, who is the lead writer, who is the music composer, etc.....And look at their previous work.
Very unlikely. ITs require a very specific shape for it to work. It can work with all tree. Sure there will be one here and there but the reason it was a thing in assasin creed 3 or backflag is cause the areas were very tiny and controled.
Issue is though, that for these last few AC games that the open world feels rather empty. Origins atleast had some npcs riding camels along the roads so you’re not just bored riding your horse long distances, with a few hyenas attacking you and Valhalla has some bandit ambushes here and there to keep you awake, you use the Raven basically to spot treasure and these weird “one and done” world events, but for the most part the roads are empty and exploration usually doesn’t lead to anything impressive unless you stumble unto a side quest or something. Hopefully AC Shadows game keeps you engaged even during the long horse riding. GoT usually keeps you busy with patrols on the road and you’re almost always engaged in sword combat, but the excuse there is that the island is at war, so you’re almost always going to encounter something to fight.
The world building looks beautiful just like all previous AC games but i'm always concerned about the gameplay. Let's hope this new engine improved on that.
Ghost of Tsushima's graphical beauty is in the simplicity. AC Shadows graphical beauty is in the realism and detail. This is absolutely stunning. No wonder they chose not to release on older systems.
The world finally looks dense with nature and plants. I don’t know what it was but previously looking at forests and things from the past few games it just looked sparse. I’m so glad they’ve decided to only release on current gen consoles
Ghost of sushi roll will still be better. Only because Ubisoft makes terrible cash grabs instead of works of art now. Am I the only one who misses the original combat system?
