Hi, thanks for this video it’s a bbq I am considering seriously. All the reviews say cleaning is “tricky”, I assume it’s not because you scooted round with hot water and soap then rinsed off and a dry down to finish. Can you confirm it’s as easy as you make out? Hope the bbq is serving you well and you’re having fun in the caravan too.

It is pretty simple. I bought a little plastic putty blade to help scrape some of the larger deposits. Hot Soapy water and a washing up brush does the job well. Grills are less easy. I just turn up the burners and chat everything off and the brush it

Thanks for this… I do have a question, how should you clean this after every use? I’d rather not do that whole procedure every time. Can you use a metal barbecue scraper? I read somewhere it’s not advised but I might be wrong

So, I gave up on every use cleaning. I fire up the burners after cooking then use a metal brush as it chars. I know it says not to, but it’s a pain to do it with soap and water. The grill gets fired up on high on next use and use brush again. I clean the tray out after each use, unless I am going to use it the next day. I clean the base in the same frequency. Even though I know I’m scratching the grill, if it’s hot enough nothing sticks.

@@jbukreviews1424 agreed! After writing this I fired up the burners after use too, as hot as possible, basically to mimic an in-built oven cleaning process. It pretty much vapourized all the ingrained char in between the cracks/grooves in the grill plate that the wire brush couldn’t reach. Pretty cool…. Thanks for the response.

You're right that there isn't much info available about this grill so thank you for providing this review! How have you found the temperature of the grill? The only other review I found mentioned inconsistency across the grill surface.

Hi Jordan, I have found the temp pretty good and does give a good sear on the food. There are some Hot and not so hot spots, but I quite like that as I can move food around to avoid it burning etc. FYI I also used the pizza stone and fresh homemade pizza. Works a treat

@@jbukreviews1424 Good to know--thanks! Have you had any issues with the cover heating up and not aligning with the bottom portion of the grill?

not at all. I saw that review and it did worry me, but they must have made changes. 8 have had the lid down on full heat for 10+ mins without any issues. it does get very hot and for that it's awesome

I bought a Furnace, its great concept but poorly executed. There are many issues, you can't have all burners on high with the hood down or it warps, the grill plates don't sit on the tabs securely, the slightest bump and they fall off, the heat isn't even across the grill, it has a lot of cold spots, don't buy the rotisserie it's made of cheap folder metal, mines already warped after a single use, it can't be used in the rain and since there isn't a dedicated rotisserie burner and Everdure recommend keeping the grates on food doesn't brown, it just spins around, the grease trap is pointless, the BBQ is flat, grease can't run into the trap, it just sits in the bottom of the BBQ and can ignite, the expensive cover isn't made from water resistant canvas, if it's raining the cover doesn't protect the BBQ, it still gets wet, I BBQ all year round, rain hail or snow, I don't think I will be with with this BBQ, it will be a summer only BBQ.
