Alexander, wrong. The 3 stooges were just cliquey and sucked up to the right people and Sarah was the fun one but had a toxic personality. Nadine was just a lovely and down to earth girl who was drowned out by louder and not very pleasant personalities and didn't have that 'step over your grandma's corpse to get where you want' attitude.

People always said Nadine and Cheryl had the worst attitudes of the group, it’s just she was smart enough to not do it in camera like Cheryl. She admitted to boycotting promo and photo shoots if their record label didn’t make The Promise the lead single back in the day. The group was trying to negotiate terms and she pulled that stunt without them knowing. That being said she has the talent and vocals to have a little bit of ego not like Cheryl. Obviously the girls aren’t going to give details but I remember watching a show with Nicola and she was saying you give up a lot being in a girl group and she always made compromises to help the peace and move things along. Kimberly also said their management never tried to mediate things, they just let them sort themselves out on their own as well.
Nicola's harmonies on this performance are incredible! I think she was the vocal dark horse of the group when they started out, she's so incredible now

Cheryl even wrote in her autobiography that Nadine would go into the studio, record the demo for the songs and then they would figure out which girl would sing which part around Nadine’s lines. My favorite voice in the group is Nicola though, I absolutely love how soft her voice is. I don’t think any of them are bad, they were a girl group singing pop music and dancing they’re arses off, and it was entertaining as hell, thank God for Girls Aloud 💕 by the way I love your videos and how you’re posting more and more, you seem so nice and a dream to be friends with. Its so rare you have a UK girlband where they have so many powerhouse singers, the fact that the group had not 1 but 3 members that had the vocal ability of Nicola, Nadine & Sarah says it all. That's not to dismiss Cheryl and Kimberley's voice because they also offered their own unique style to the group
Completely agree. Nadine used to be the strongest but in recent years Nicola found her voice & definitely has a stronger voice, especially if you compare her most recent performance to Nadine's. (Both are still great tho) loved this series :) ❤
I loved this. Nicola is definitely the best in this performance but I always feel like Nadine was the most vocally talented, her album Insatiable was really good but Nicola has definitely come a long way

please rewatch a more recent Nadine video, especially her "Go To Work" promo performances. She's stopped smoking due to her pregnancy and her voice has therefore improved significantly.
They all sound pretty good here but I do think that Nadine had her work cut out during Girls Aloud 😂😂 She was the only strong singer really, in most girl bands there’s usually 2/3 stronger singers to carry the group. Kimberley and Cheryl aren’t particularly strong singers, Sarah was off her face most of the time so did well to even make it on stage and Nicola has a beautiful voice but it’s fairly quiet and doesn’t have the same umphh to carry the lead vocal. It’s great to see how she’s improved. Nadine had the most umphh and power to her voice, she has a twang that gives her a real edge, to me she’ll always be the strongest

Nadine carried the group for most of their career for sure. Cheryl got easy talky bits alot cuz she's pretty and popular. Kimberley was usually just a backing singer.

I agree Nicola has improved but number one is still Nadine I’ve got say.I probably would not put them in any order because I think they all complement each other when together if you if think Nadine and Cheryl worked together brilliantly on the bridge and opening,and giving Kimberly more words was wise on this song with Nicola,it was evened out more for the whole of theme xxx

Girls Aloud are my all-time favourite girl band too. Their songs were in a totally different league to most other groups, thanks to the brilliant Xenomania songwriting/production team (who also wrote for Sugababes - please feature them!) Nicola Roberts is by far my favourite GA singer. Can't wait for her new album! :)

Her vocal technique and vocal rang has improved a lot since she began to sing more musical after the group split in 2013 .Sarah is one of my favours but Imo her technique is worse than other girls . Her vocal performances always depended on those “rocky” yelling to hit high notes but it doesn’t work for many song and sometime it’s very unstable, especially at live singing. You can hardly hear her vibratos. Her ep Threads showed her this problem very obviously. And also her lives singing on pride a few years ago was so disappointing, as well as her performance on Ghost. Nadine is always my least favourite but always has the strongest voice ( at least when she’s still in GA).
I think Kimberly whilst not the best vocalist of the band. She’s consistent and pretty much always stable. I think people may think she’s not a good vocalist because she doesn’t have much range but I think the stability and consistency of her is great. Sarah’s tone and just colour has always been my favourite, it’s unique. I think her technique isn’t very good though but I think everything I mentioned before makes up for it tbh.
Her voice is very limited and weak in comparison to the others hence why always had the least amount of solos. In my opinion the issue is that she doesn’t have a pop voice, she sounds more like a theatre singer and as a result her voice doesn’t suit a lot of Girls Alouds songs
i´m not a big fan of cheryl but i prefer her singing over kim and sarah, back then and now. not sure if its the technique or just the colour of her voice i prefer. nadine had the most international sounding voice back then but i think she didnt develope that much since then. nicola is my personal favourite from an artistic point of view, she sounds very modern and maybe not "beautiful" but very edgy and unique. there is something about her voice that has a lot personality. do you agree? i know that you have the sugababes coming up soon, if i can request something... i would love to see some comparison battle stuff especially when it comes to the same songs and harmonies. tho i think its not that big of a reach to say mutya will always be the better singer than amelle and jade.
Listening to this again!! It is amazing love that song!!! My best vocals in order are Nadine/Nicola are in par of each other!! Then Cheryl, Sarah & Kimberley. Cheryl has a recording voice unique!! I think that’s why she did so well as a solo artist!!.
i think nadine's voice is stronger in a 'powerhouse' kind of way, but nicola's is my fav. just wish she hadn't been so underused in the band and had had more main parts! not sure if you've already reacted but you should do spice girls at the olympics.
I think Kimberley should get more credit. The song you chose for her did not show off her voice at all and she was having a bad day when she sang that. I feel you should have used defying gravity for her because her voice is like 10 times better in that. You said yourself you shouldn't sing that if your voice isn't awesome so i think you should react to that in a future video.
I personally preferred Nicola's voice before she started belting all the time. She pushes too much in recent and her voice becomes quite shrill, whereas her tone is lovely when she sings more softly and sweetly. Nadine is the vocal bedrock of Girls Aloud and she sings so much more effortlessly and soulfully than the others.
I mostly agree but I do think Cheryl should rank higher. Especially in the early days of Girls Aloud, she was confident in her delivery and can often be heard doing harmonies. She is much more musically aware than she is given credit for, simply because she doesn't have a powerhouse voice like Nadine. For me, she sings with the most genuine feeling (along with Nicola). I love Girls Aloud because, as you say, their voices get used appropriately in the songs.
Nicola was underrated and underused in the band. The focus was never on her really. But she was my fave during Popstars the rivals and throughout the band xx

Yes it was the same song, interesting enough My Love Is Pink by Sugababes was originally offered to Girls Aloud, Nadine did a demo for it but the girls passed on it. But Keisha and Heidi rewrote the verses for the Sugababes version.
Interesting fact i noticed Claude the main dancer at the front whose also a choreographer ... Now works fulltime and has done since the early days with Little MIx!!
Nadine is the best singer even to this day 2022 cheryl tweedy is not the best singer she's kind of like gareth gates just a pub singer normal pop voice not really strong enough but these days its not about the voice on things singing shows people like gareth gates and Cheryl tweedy just at the right place at the right time but good for them they both got something out off life 🙌 👏 👌 🙏
I've been a longtime fan from the U.S. Aside from Nadine, they MASSIVELY improved. This one wasn't good for Nicola. On The Metro is 🔥🔥 and should've been a single. I think if they had been pushed in the early days, they would've been even better honestly. Both Sarah (RIP ❤️) and Kim fully benefited from the stage. These four did have some good parts in the group. Makes me sad that it was solo work that made their vocals stronger. I remember for a fact that the first album they had all of them sing each song before mixing. I wonder if there's anything collecting dust that has unused vocals with the other albums. I'd kill to listen ❤️❤️❤️

I think Kimberly whilst not the best vocalist of the band. She’s consistent and pretty much always stable. I think people may think she’s not a good vocalist because she doesn’t have much range but I think the stability and consistency of her is great. Sarah’s tone and just colour has always been my favourite, it’s unique. I think her technique isn’t very good though but I think everything I mentioned before makes up for it tbh.
Her voice is very limited and weak in comparison to the others hence why always had the least amount of solos. In my opinion the issue is that she doesn’t have a pop voice, she sounds more like a theatre singer and as a result her voice doesn’t suit a lot of Girls Alouds songs
Nadine voice is very powerful and nicola has a really great voice.
i´m not a big fan of cheryl but i prefer her singing over kim and sarah, back then and now. not sure if its the technique or just the colour of her voice i prefer. nadine had the most international sounding voice back then but i think she didnt develope that much since then. nicola is my personal favourite from an artistic point of view, she sounds very modern and maybe not "beautiful" but very edgy and unique. there is something about her voice that has a lot personality. do you agree?
i know that you have the sugababes coming up soon, if i can request something... i would love to see some comparison battle stuff especially when it comes to the same songs and harmonies. tho i think its not that big of a reach to say mutya will always be the better singer than amelle and jade.

i think nadine's voice is stronger in a 'powerhouse' kind of way, but nicola's is my fav. just wish she hadn't been so underused in the band and had had more main parts! not sure if you've already reacted but you should do spice girls at the olympics.
I think Kimberley should get more credit. The song you chose for her did not show off her voice at all and she was having a bad day when she sang that. I feel you should have used defying gravity for her because her voice is like 10 times better in that. You said yourself you shouldn't sing that if your voice isn't awesome so i think you should react to that in a future video.
I personally preferred Nicola's voice before she started belting all the time. She pushes too much in recent and her voice becomes quite shrill, whereas her tone is lovely when she sings more softly and sweetly. Nadine is the vocal bedrock of Girls Aloud and she sings so much more effortlessly and soulfully than the others.
I mostly agree but I do think Cheryl should rank higher. Especially in the early days of Girls Aloud, she was confident in her delivery and can often be heard doing harmonies. She is much more musically aware than she is given credit for, simply because she doesn't have a powerhouse voice like Nadine. For me, she sings with the most genuine feeling (along with Nicola). I love Girls Aloud because, as you say, their voices get used appropriately in the songs.
Nicola was underrated and underused in the band. The focus was never on her really. But she was my fave during Popstars the rivals and throughout the band xx

Interesting thing - Keisha from Sugababes said her and her group some years back were working on a song called Something New that they ended up binning so the track was then picked up by Girls Aloud

Yes it was the same song, interesting enough My Love Is Pink by Sugababes was originally offered to Girls Aloud, Nadine did a demo for it but the girls passed on it. But Keisha and Heidi rewrote the verses for the Sugababes version.
Interesting fact i noticed Claude the main dancer at the front whose also a choreographer ... Now works fulltime and has done since the early days with Little MIx!!

I've been a longtime fan from the U.S. Aside from Nadine, they MASSIVELY improved. This one wasn't good for Nicola. On The Metro is 🔥🔥 and should've been a single. I think if they had been pushed in the early days, they would've been even better honestly. Both Sarah (RIP ❤️) and Kim fully benefited from the stage. These four did have some good parts in the group. Makes me sad that it was solo work that made their vocals stronger. I remember for a fact that the first album they had all of them sing each song before mixing. I wonder if there's anything collecting dust that has unused vocals with the other albums. I'd kill to listen ❤️❤️❤️
