    This man gave the best answer to your ending question of, "If you had 3 wishes, what would they be?" Most folks think only of themselves when they think of the three wishes they could have… But as with this gentleman, I would want things for others, not just for myself, because to be able to have wishes fulfilled, they would have to be epic wishes, that would include all of humanity, and perhaps even all the other living creatures of this world, to live without suffering, without needless pain, and without diseases...

    I am sorry but elected officials and the city of Seattle are funding TENTS? This is unacceptable. The money should be creating real roofs over these people heads... And they are expected to do some kind of work for this? Bless your Heart, Mark for reaching out and doing this work. And the people out there homeless, they are so kind -- not one of them deserve to be "homeless", no one does.

    Are there ways to help and donate to these people? I understand bringing awareness to the homeless but, each and every person that you interviewed should have a link, - gofundme or someway that we can donate to them directly. I’m sure this channel is making a decent amount of money exploiting homeless people; so the least you guys can do is allow us to sponsor or donate to the homeless people that y’all are interviewing.

    • @nadim2769

      Maura L it's how governments are all over the world. If you're homeless, people don't care. If you can make people money, everyone cares. It's how society is. No one looks out for each other apart from a few

    • @maura1686
      @maura1686 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Nadim
      What shocks me are his children. If they are now able to rent at least a bedroom, there should be a place there to put their dad's bed, there should be a place at their table to put their dad"s dish. When you don't honor your parents, your future is dark. If this dad had saved his money instead of spending it raising his children, he wouldn't be in this situation now.

    • @nadim2769
      @nadim2769 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Maura L
      I agree with that. His children do shock me. Even if they both are struggling to get by, I'm sure they can come to a compromise. Situations like this make me feel sad, and it is ashame. I don't wish bad luck to his children, everyone deserves a 2nd chance, but what his children need to do is find him and take care of him

As far as his children not helping him. They are too busy with their own wants and needs to be tied down by an old man with so many needs. Just fact. Today, it's all about self.

    How can I tell my story? I am elderly and technically homeless because I don't have my needs met, in this motel. Been homeless much of my adult life. I founded SEASCAT, which stands for supportive environment for adult survivors of Child Abuse and trauma. I am trying so hard to hang onto what I have and make a difference. But if I don't get more supporting me, I will move out as soon as its warm. I have a non-profit thrift store, where I have a lending library and handouts and I'm trying to find speaking engagements. The bldg isn't heated and I have to move everything because so..

      Since we don't know what his handicap is, and it could be physical, it could be mental, we don't know. So, I think he is doing the best he can with what he is able to do within his limitations. Handicaps aren't always visible. A lot of chronic illnesses aren't visible. We just don't know. You could be feeling great one day and lousy the next. Makes it difficult to work full-time then.
