@@BlakeRidder Well I've had the CP.3 EF 35mm for a few months and I've been using it on the Red Komodo and the Canon C70, both of which are s35. I use a Metabones EF to RF Speedbooster/adapter to make this possible. I've just purchased the Cp.3 EF 85mm and I'm looking for my wide but I'm as yet undecided. Might go as wide as 15mm. I have the Zeiss Otus lenses too which are FF and includes the 28mm 1.4.
@@sonofthesea ah I see. As you know. I have the 18mm and 35mm which covers most scenarios in my films. If I had the money I would get a third one 50mm or 85mm. Undecided yet.
I think using the LiDAR auto focus system after programmed with the gimbal will work better on a well built rig wouldn’t you think? I heard you don’t have to use the gimbal once the tracking system is programmed from the lens
Yep. I do use the lidar on the tripod sometimes without the gimbal. But to save time. It’s just quicker to leave it on the gimbal for when I want those tracking or moving shots, then switch to static shots
I see you use external SSD for recording. Can you control all BMPCC 6K pro parameters including record button, ISO etc, without connect the USB port on the camera? How you do that? Thanks in advance
can you use the hub to connect to the high bright monitor directly for mounting the monitor on the gimbal without needing to use the transmitter and save the transmitter purely for wireless scenarios?
@@BlakeRidder im currently using a large smallhd 7" monitor with cage and handle on the rs3 advanced handle from tilta, not too concerned about the weight, just want the ability to control the lidar without having to look at the tiny screen on the gimbal itself
Hey, i have a video shoot tomorrow. I got the 6k pro and the sigma 18-35 lens. Should I put 35mm into the LiDAR settings for the lens or the crop factor Focal length because of the super 35 sensor? You got the smallrig cage and the LiDAR sensor on the 6k pro. What did you put as the installation distance on the LiDAR settings? I got the smallrig cage and did mount it on the top of the camera. The cage is blocking the sensor plane symbol on the camera. Thank you for your time and this video!
Yep. At first I bought a second Ronin battery so I can swap when one dies. But that still went too quick. Hence this solution in the video above is best with the additional V lock battery powering the 3 different devices.
I wish I could get a set of those lenses. nice update on your current setup. I wish there were more cheaper EF options for real nice primes. :) are you using any adapters on the lenses?
You can always film with a phone. The one on the plane I shot was all iPhone and everyone thought it wasn’t. Cos the quality. Until you have mastered. It’s always best to go cheap. No adapters
I'm sorry but that rig is a nightmare. I suggest at least getting a Cfast card so you can remove the external SSD component, but even still the monster has enough tentacles to strangle everyone on set.
Hey, i commented a few days ago. Can you answer? What is the installation distance for the LiDAR range finder settings when mounting it on top of the 6k pro with the smallrig cage?
Hi, thank you for the comprehensive material on Lidar and DJI Transmission. I have a big problem in buying a trgo HUB cable from DJI. Where did you buy yours? this is the solution to all my problems :) I placed an order on amazon but there is no delivery date.

I was browsing CP.3 lenses asking have just bought my 2nd one. I just wanted to stop and say nice work on your footage. Looks good 😊
Thanks Dylan. Which focal lengths did you get?

Regarding autofocus and RS... if I don't have the lidar, doesn't the focus motor work?
Bravo
How did you measure the distance from the sensor to the front of the LiDAR when Black magic doesn't have a sensor mark?

I don’t think so. Also the monitor is pretty heavy and big.

When setting up the lens profile, does the f stop matter? When I calibrate the lens on f 1.8, will it autofocus on all the higher f stops?
do you happen to know what the focal plane distance is for the bmpcc6k ? for the lidar setup?
I don’t. I just guessed from measuring myself manually using a tape.

@@cjadams7434 no it doesn’t

Thanks man. I’ve not used a canon lens for a while. But I love the Zeiss as it’s sharp

An iPhone and some Godox tube lights.
how do I attach the focus monitor on the rs3 pro to bmpcc6k its like my rode is to short

Can’t really afford a 2TB cfast card. I’ve used this setup and shot a feature and many shorts without any issues.
Sir, would this work with mattebox? Also would the same on ring work better?
Yes and not sure.
Do the weight of all your equipment put a strain on the Gimbal motors?
Nope. This gimbal is able to take up to 4.5kg
PLEASE SIR i have the same camera and cage what is the installation distance with the camera when setting up the LiDAR?
