Hi. I'd like to understand better how this happened. Could you tell me what detergents you mainly used. Whether fabric softener was used regularly and whether you measured your water hardness and if so how much in ppm it is.
I cut open the drum, got the drum repaired with a steel spider and fitted it back the same day, also replaced the 2 bearings. Working as good as new now, for almost 2 months.
7:10 that black stuff he is removing here. Did he tell you what it is? I can't hear any audio in this video. What advice did the repair guy give you to avoid this situation from happening again?
Thats all the lint and dirt from over 7 years... Wont be closing the lid of the machine immediately after a wash to let the drum dry properly going ahead.

Mine had a crack in it.. thats why replaced.. otherwise it shudnt be a problem.. u mit need to clean it but

The motor will work but the drum may be or may not be rotate with a cracky noise ........
If you open the door and push the drum it will move forward and backward if shaft is broken

Wish i cud have more info.. we use liquid detergent, its an old washing machine more than 8 years old now...

@@rollyrider23 can you confirm whether you used fabric conditioner/softener at all. That kind of buildup is more than just dirt and lint.
