- The last time Jimmy Barnes sang the traditional Scottish song 'The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond' was with his fellow Scot Jock Zonfrillo. Tonight, he sings it in tribute to his great mate.

Just sent my Dad off at his funeral yesterday with this incredible version from Jimmy of Loch Lomond. My Dad was a proud Scot born in Glasgow but been here in New Zealand for 65 years, Mum loved it and not a dry eye in the house as we carried the coffin out. I hope my Dad would have been proud.

I’m from Scotland. This song is played at every family party at the end of the night. Also at weddings. I’m not sure if everyone is to drunk but the words are never clear. You blew this song out of the water. From a proud Scotsman thank you. What a performance. R.I.P Jock.

My father died at 102 years old and was born in Dundee, we had this played at his funeral and it was no were as good as Jimmy’s version of The Bonnie, what a tribute sang with love. I’m so sad for his family, it’s beyond devastating..RIP Jock..Slainte 🥃 for being such an inspiration. Thanks Ten and Jimmy for a wonderful tribute.💔🕊️..Scotland the Brave..now always roaming in the gloaming. 🏴

@@jellybewwy4829Indeed I was, he came to live with my for the last years of his life and they were the best…I held him whilst he took his last breath and I did the same with my Mum and I consider that I did that for both an honour and privilege that a lot of people don’t get to do. That’s why I’m heartbroken for Jock’s wife and children.
