I boil the sweet potatoes whole and unpeeled. Once properly cooked and cooled, they easily slip out of the skins and are ready to mash. No peeling and cutting rock hard sweet potatoes
I purchased the Costco praline pecans. Can I use them for this? Should I still use all the other ingredients to mix with them? Thanks! And thank you for all the detail in this video. So many videos assume we already know how to do stuff. I need to see a demo of every step! 😅
Okay. Nice. Thank you. I've never made Sweet Potato Casserole. This crumb topping is a game changer. What is your opinion on my adding a few drops of molasses to the maple syrup because all I can find is medium dark in stores around here? BTW My best pie crusts are when I use my fingers to incorporate the very cold butter into the flour. I'll definitely cook your BEST Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe. Thanks again Chef.

I guess you can do it that way!

Probably but I’d def spray them down with oil and the 350 temp will prob ok. Keep an eye that the sugar coating on them doesn’t burn.
@ Ok thank you!
Gotta try this! Thanks for sharing.
Hope you enjoy! 😊

The molasses sounds like it would work fantastic! Thanks so much! 😄
"Pecan is what you eat", a "Peecan", is what was kept under the bed, before indoor plumbing was installed houses.
I’ve been told this before lol!
I was today years old when I learned about that little eye remover on my peeler!
Such a useful and less known kitchen tool!
I say pa-cahn, and I like to keep them around to use in a lot of things. I keep mine in a plastic bag, in a freezer-safe container.
They are a great pantry staple!
There is no o in pecan
Sure isn’t!
