@@tothegatesmx “You would have mean”??? I haven’t listened to any of their recent offerings, so I’m unable to intelligently comment on the status of their latter compositions. Anything that Darren decides to cover is always gonna be top tier and his choice to do so is a ringing endorsement for the quality of the songwriting.
@@gammaraiderI think Damnation and a Day is my favorite don’t get me wrong their past discography is some of the best metal around, but something about that album to me is magik.🤘
@tnamsghost6538 Right on man, all their albums are in their own way unique and sometimes you get one that strikes all your personal chords exactly right. For me it's probably Hammer of the Witches or Cruelty and the Beast but Damnation is a definitely a banger too! 🤘
Appreciate that Zak! This was actually the first time I had played any Cradle Material. I had the opportunity to work with other musicians for Metal Injection a Slay at Home concert so I couldn't pass it up.
Thanks Julien! An epic track indeed. I must admit I am not as familiar with Cradle's library as much as some other bands, but this album Cruelty and the Beast is great.
Thanks so much! I am admittedly not too familiar with Cradle's material, but had an opportunity to work on this with other talented musicians for Metal Injection's Slay at Home. A good experience for sure.
Appreciate that very much. That album was a labor of love. At one point I didn't think it would be released. Was very glad it was able to see the light of day. Erik's influence and soul is all over it.
@@House_of_Grind I look forward to see more of yours drum covers from Cruelty and Dusk era. Also, it would be so great if you upload a Drums Only video.
Hi Jose. Thanks so much! This was an enjoyable collaboration, these older Cradle Albums are great, and it was fun to add some of my own style into it making it a bit more brutal.
Hearing this song with proper blasts, and your own personal flavor is great! Wasn't a fan of the half-time kick underneath the blast, as done on the recording.
Thanks Catman! I agree, it was alot of fun to add a bit of heavier drumming and fill some parts in. I actually wasn't a fan of the half time foot blast either. Listening to Nick Barker in an interview however he said he did that because back then the band had a hard time following the blast beat on time, so the half time kick gave them an easy beat to lock into. Interesting.
@@House_of_Grind That is interesting. I would've gone with half-time on a cymbal instead of the kick. Regardless, it was nice to hear it proper with you on it!

My mistake, the thumbnail was very similar! And yes this was a killer cover tune. I worked with some very awesome musicians on it. Thanks for the comment!
Whoever you got to do the vocals really nails the Dani vocal style. This is a really good cover.
Nothing short of mind blowing. The Filth are killer songwriters.

Awesome man. Just awesome!!! Love this song and you killed it.
Cymbals are amazing!
Perhaps COF’s best song! Stunning performance. 😮

Epic👍 Nic would be proud
Thank you. Nick was great, loved his work in Cradle and Dimmu.
My favorite Cradle album. Awesome performance. I like that you didn't play it exactly like Nick Barker, your style shines through
that sounds very good - motivates me - thanks for that 😃
So hyped for this
Dude that was so good. I reckon you’d smash nicks drum solo on dusk and her embrace .
You're a beast. That was flawless
Amazing n awesome for you
godly as usual
amazing job!

Hey buddy
Fatality
Amazing cover and love the vocals but the bridge is missing
Why???
The looking glass cast Belladonna wreaths
'Pon the grave of Her innocence
Her hidden face spat murder
From a whisper to a scream
All sleep seemed cursed
In Faustian verse
But there in orgiastic Hell
No horrors were worse
Than the mirrored revelation
The She kissed the Devil's phallus
By Her own decree
So with windows flung wide to the menstrual sky
Solstice Eve She fled the castle in secret
A daughter of the storm, astride Her favourite nightmare
On winds without prayer
Stigmata still wept between Her legs
A cold bloodedness which impressed new hatreds
She sought the Sorceress
Through the snow and dank woods to the sodomite's lair
Nine twisted fates threw hewn bone die
For the throat of Elizabeth
Damnation won and urged the moon
In soliloquy to gleam
Twixt the trees in shafts
To ghost a path
Past the howl of buggered nymphs
In the sodomite's grasp
To the forest's vulva
Where the witch scholared Her
In even darker themes
"Amongst philtres and melissas
Midst the grease of strangled men
And eldritch truths, elder ill-omen
Elizabeth came to life again"
Wow!!!! Powerful playing!!!
