I didnt remember till now but I went to Sears Charm School. I was in a catalog wearing a red white and blue peasant dress with laces in the bodice and love written all over it. So funny. Different store but still brought that memorie back lol.

I know Christmas is king right now and it’s all about the reds, greens, golds, Santa, etc, but as somebody who doesn’t relate to any of that, I really appreciate the breaks in Christmas for the Bluenique, the basset hound, McCoy, etc. 💙

In all seriousness, I love watching these videos! My Mom and I love to browse antique stores just as a way for us to bond. I like asking her about what things were like when she was growing up (she was born in 1961). It's always fun when we stumble across something that she remembers for her childhood.
BOILER UP! We are Boilermakers living in IU country.
I have my great grandmother's ruby cut glass that she had made at the state and exposition fairs in the early 1900's too. It just does not seem right for people to get rid of their family pieces with their names on them.... but they do. My kids have no interest in them, so who knows where they will end up.

Those ornaments that you thought were Pier One ARE Pier One. I have two that I bought myself at Pier One many years ago. And, I love those little ruby glass souvenir mugs! I actually found one with the name of a friend's ancestor on it. The ancestor had died as a small child in 1907 and the cup was a remembrance cup for his family. I found the cup in a Goodwill in different city than the child had lived in and I , of course, am giving it to my friend!
