Caprivi African National Union leaves SWAPO, 1980

- The Caprivi African National Union (CANU) left SWAPO (South West African People's Organisation) on 6 August 1980 in Lusaka. This was two weeks after SWAPO "expelled" CANU leadership from SWAPO. Speaking at the press conference was Mishake Muyongo flanked by fellow CANU leaders.
