Ugh, where do you even start with this? Great breakdown guys. Agree with Dave, I'm not sure who the intended audience is for this remake. Guessing most parents will be pushing their kids to watch the original because it's one of those Crimbo films that has a special place in the hearts of the public - especially millennials.
This kid was great in Jojo Rabbit though, eh. Maybe a strange casting choice here. I'm not really sold on the baddies either. Without the larger than life villains, these movies don't work. 👍🎬
@@MoreMovies4u Ye he was great in JoJo, but perhaps because they used him sporadically as comic relief, maybe? Wholly agree. The menace brought by Joe Pesci (and the other one that isn't Joe Pesci) gave an element of genuine fear for the audience and heightened threat/risk to Kevin. Heck, even see it with the likes of Tim Curry. This remake seems to be missing that stranger danger.
I share the exact same reaction as you guys! I think that this is one of the worst trailers for a film (that I also think is going to be bad lol) that I have seen in a long time! I wished they just continued with Culkin in some way too. Great reaction, guys!
