Thank you! I've been looking for a wiring diagram as I just picked up a 6v Silverado police truck for dirt cheap, however there are quite a few bypasses. Now you've shown what cable goes to what. She can only press the pedal for forward. Reverse does not work. I also want to upgrade to the dewalt battery mod and go dual motor and at least 12 volt. That is a neat controller. I see so many like it, but they all seem to have radiostatic speed controllers unlike the one you show. I'd click the link but it appears to be dead.
I just finally hooked mine up I’ll make a video also the only thing is there’s no brakes so you have to roll to his stop and the vehicle I’m using is a huffy torex
Most of the PWM Moduls doesnt have motorbrake. Thats why i wahr to use RC ESC (Electronic Speed Control). But then u need a Servotester to implement the Hallsensor Gaspedle. More work to do. Hope it will work.
Was the PWM controller coming with a circular rotating button other than the switch? because i can't find the same as yours. All the other ones have that circular rotating button. How do you tell the controller the maximun amout of voltage that you want?
I would be careful with the factory harnest. I Don't think the wires on the harnest cud handle the amp. Going through the wires. Being that they are so thin , so i would be careful when u turn it up all the way maybe a fuse or something you wouldn't want the wires to catch on fire , other than that you did great on the set up great idea and great set up very informative but you should change the wires 14gauge at least just in case to withstand the amp withdraw ... Going through them for when u are ready to turn the. Esc all the way up
Giant Giant thanks, I did add a 30amp inline fuse and it has held so far. I agree it definitely needs a failsafe. So far the wires haven’t been an issue but I would like to upgrade them regardless 🏁
Hi there can’t make a video adding this item to a e-bike 3000w brushless motor kit , but still using the 48v 40amp controller that comes with the kit , using throttle and phase wires making it work together just like your video to a DC Motor Speed Controller, vinmax 10-50V 100A 5000W Reversible PWM
how is this holding up? I fried grandsons 4x4 controller and need to come up with a replacements. The PWM i used to reduce a 40V Ryobi battery to the 24V his 4x4 needs let the full 40V through.
Thank u for the video. Do you have a link to this motor. I read that 250w output was needed in order to not fry the motors. Did you take this into consideration?
@@RaztechPowersports thank you so so much for your reply. It was a typo from my side. I meant à link to the speed controller.... I do not intend to replace the stock motors as well. There is not an easy way to do this. I know there is a certain soft start chip you can eliminate on other electric speed controllers. Do some research on that 🔧⚡️
What hall effect is in the foot pedal? I check on mine and its 49e. When not stepping in the pedal, it is still making the motor spin at low rpm. When press down it makes it full throttle. But the motor never stop even with foot off the pedal. Do you know what hall effect model is on your pedal?
@@RaztechPowersports thank you so much. Just had this same thing happen 2 days ago. Kids are going crazy wanting to ride it so I rigged it up with a cheap speed controller off of a potentiometer knob. I don't like the idea of no pedal. Just ordered this and I love how it'll support more power.
Josh Sicking no problem, yeah if you understand electronic, which you sound like you do.. it’s a pretty cool speed controller. I have it setup on a single 12v deep cycle boat battery for now, comical range even offroad. Waiting for the motors to fry and then the mods begin lol
I would do with this speed control over an Rc version. Much more heavy duty. I don’t have the exact link but they are all over eBay for 80ish bucks with the gas pedal. Still runs great btw
We have the same truck when we turn the key to on it beeps three times and doesn't do anything else. I can't find any information on why or what needs replaced. Anyone had this issue???

Great job explaining all this. I know you've helped a lot of puzzled dads.

Ahh thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to find another active link. Yes the speed controller is still running strong on 20v dewalt battery now.
I'm new to all of this! It's good for non-beginners

Yeah that’s the only downside. It’s okay on 12v because there isn’t much momentum. Now at higher voltage, not good
Man thanks for this video i been looking for the wiring info on this truck
Excellent tutorial! Great job brother!
Thanks for watching 🏁

Can u make a video on how you install it
Good idea..can u show circuit diagram
How did you take off the dashboard? Took my doors off but still wont budge

The voltage really controls the speed. On 20v dewalt lithium batteries… it flies lol

Was the Silverado 12v, and you kept it 12v after the speed controller mod? Or was it 6v and now 12v? Sorry if I missed that info.
It was originally 12v.
Sense you stayed 12v did you really need the controller?
Well now it runs on 20 V DeWalt lithium batteries

How would it be using a Milwaukee 18v drill battery set up ? Would it be faster then using a 12v ?
Much faster. I’m currently running a 20v Dewalt 5ah and it rips. Driving offroad does tend to drain the lipo pretty quick. Onroad is perfect
