( mark) I brought a 43 kilo Belgian Malinois from Washington DC to Da Nang i used a pet transportation company out of Dallas and my Total cost was $8,500 USD . and i found out at the last minute no Vietnamese airline will transport a dog domesticly if the total weight of the dog and his travel crate is over 50kilos . so say hello to a long van ride from HCMC to your city or town !

Vietnam is so funny with rules and not following them, I am in Vin Homes grand central, to come into the building we have a face scanner or finger print scanner to use, but there is an open emergency door right next to it, and everyone is entering and leaving through it even though there is a sign saying not to.
This is alarming I was thinking about living in Vietnam but don't want to abide by Orwellian rules
My biggest concern is stealing dogs, that’s the main reason why I was not consider to take my 2 small dogs to Vietnam. What are your thoughts on that?

How about dog beimg kidnapped? I want to rent a small house and live with my small dog near the beach. Is there a risk my dog could get kidnapped for dog meat? I thought it was just a stereotype, but someone online who lived in Vietnam scared me about this
Actually, dog owners are often harassed by building guards and neighbors. It’s not that easy to find a real dog friendly place to rent.
