      Oh thank you so much! I also have written quite a bit on my site and am trying to add more in my spare time in Asia as there's so many delicious traditional foods and beautiful beaches in Ecuador. I'd love to ask working for yourself isn't stressful, it still is but in much more beautiful places!

    In a digital world full of edited perspectives and fake people, your authenticity is a breath of fresh air 🥰✨
    I found your channel in research for an upcoming trip to Hanoi and Phu Quoc, and love the way you describe food… the flavours and textures of what your experiencing.

    • @ayngelina

      I think people are so edited because so many people are ready to jump on people for saying something they disagree with. Especially in travel it’s almost unspoken that you can only positive about a destination and never speak about religion or politics. In social media I’ve shared posts against prejudice and genocide and a smaller percentage of viewers have responded they only follow me for food and wish I stayed out of politics. But life is political and food is political. I was a bit worried I would get the same kind of feedback on this video but kind people like you have left positive comments and I really appreciate it.

    Ayangelina, it was so nice to see you again. I stopped following your channel once you left Ecuador, because to be honest, the countries you’ve been visiting don’t interest me. I do hope you go to Colombia and I’d love to see you experience Peru, as those are two Latin American countries I’ve been thinking about visiting. I’m headed back to Ecuador in March. This will be my 2nd visit and I’ll be spending most of my time in Cuenca. Your Ecuador videos helped me plan both of my trips, and I’ll be forever grateful. I made my first trip to SA in 2022. Ecuador was my first choice, in part, because of your 100 videos. I even have hired Andres and stayed at their place.
    I'm currently traveling in Peru.
    My question? What is your approximate budget in Asia? TIA.

      @k_and_m8745 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I too have met Andres when we contacted him for a place to stay when we visited Cuenca for the first time in 2 1/2 years of living in Ecuador.
      Ayngelina was 1 of 4 TH-camrs before I came to Ecuador that I found put out several videos (at the time she had not too many out but enough) and later she was the only one I watched religiously when she was traveling throughout Ecuador.

    • @ayngelina
      @ayngelina  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would love to go back to Peru. Have you been to Cajamarca? I loved it there.
      As for budget in Asia I usually try to keep hotels at 20/night which is almost always fine except for capital cities. And then if we’re not seeing any major attractions or traveling we usually spend another 30 max so 50/day for both of us because we love street food and walking around. Some countries are definitely more expensive than others.

    • @perfectlylonely

      @@ayngelina ....Thank you. $1500 is about my budget as a solo traveler in Central and SA.
      I tend to eat in 4 star restaurants. Hotels? I too spend $20 a night on average.

When I posted that question to you, I was in Japan and wondering whether I should stress about making videos or just enjoying the vacation. you made some great points, as I am only on vacation so I don't have all the time in the world, and I should put the camera down and just enjoy what is in front of me.

      You make great videos on TH-cam of course I would call you a TH-cam creator! You know whenever I get to a new place I always have crazy plans of making a video a day and then I realize I don't need to do that. I could do it but then all I'd be doing is shooting video. So I pick 1-2 video ideas I think people will like most and just do that. Maybe I won't get explosive growth but I think it's more sustainable in the long run.

      I would love to travel the Middle East. I've only been to Jordan and wrote about it on my website 12 years ago but loved it. When factoring in where to go it's #1 where can Alan travel visa free and #2 budget. Thankfully he can visit many of the Middle Eastern countries, but they are more expensive and farther away which impacts budget and Alan can't work and needs to use savings. But it's a natural fit to head there once we can spend a bit more. Maybe one of these days I'll make enough money from TH-cam to pay for travel 😊

      @@ayngelina I believe there are food tours offered online for both Iloilo and Binondo. For Iloilo, you can check out Ilostrados Tours and Services or Camina Balay nga Bato. Binondo can be crowded and chaotic with the influx of people and long lines so just be prepared. Some recommended spots there are Wai Ying, Tasty Dumplings, Lan Zhou La Mien, Chuan Kee, Cafe Mezzanine, Dong Bei dumpling, New Po Heng Lumpia. For Iloilo, it would be Alicia's Batchoy, Kap Ising Pancit Molo, Biscocho Haus, Roberto's Siopao,Breakthrough Resto, Beige Eatery, Jr Rawit Lechon Manok, Jo Ann Fishballs,Tatoy's Manokan and many more around the city. Desserts to try are the ilonggo native bibingka in Molo or the iloilo creamhorn in Jaro. Some spicy dish are the adobado nga alimusan, linabog and iloilo creamy pangat. Honestly, iloilo has a lot of good food, cultural museums and mansions if you roam around the city. Nearby Guimaras is a bonus for sweet mangoes and white sand beach. I'm sure you will love exploring this city 😁

    I'm kind of confused about your answer at the 7:20 mark. 1st of all my channel isn't even monetized & I'm from Canada. I watch a ton of TH-cam video's whether I'm home in Canada or Thailand where we are for the winter and Vietnam where we will be in Feb. My point is this. Yes I see ads you can say are geared towards the USA but I also see a lot of Thai advertising as well. None of which I click onto because I don't speak Thai. If your the friendliest people in Canada why doesn't your license plates reflect that like my Home province of MB. (Side note. It use to be but I don't thinks so anymore.) Good advise, I need to plan what I'm taking video of. Totally Agree about Filipinos, I work with many and are they are awesome. Quite the itinerary for 2024. Travel Safe And Be Well.

    • @ayngelina
      @ayngelina  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First of all I love Manitoba! Winnipeg is my second favourite city to visit (Montreal is first.
      So I should clarify that as it was confusing. Yes advertising is geotargeted so you see advertising for the country you are in (or I think also based on your viewing history which make signal specific interests).
      But on the whole ads that target Americans in the US make the most money for creators, because it's the most competitive and lucrative ad market. And the RPM (ad revenue per thousand impressions) is significantly less. Now say someone gets millions of views in another country and those viewers watch the entire video it can compensate a bit. But nothing beats views from the US.

      So I didn’t mention China because I’m not sure how to swing it but I really really want to go. I know as a Canadian I can get a visa for a couple of days but Indonesians aren’t on that list. But I’m still looking into how hard it would be for us to go because I’ve been watching Jet Lag Warriors there and I’m so curious to see for myself.

      Canada is on the list but Indonesia is not, I think the list is 54 countries. But then I quickly saw something about a list of 59 countries that you could do on tour and Indonesia was on it. I prefer traveling independently and doing day tours but it's encouraging that Indonesia was on the list so I'm going to look into it a bit as I would love to go.

      It's always interesting because it depends on what part of the country you think I'm from. In Indonesia I definitely have the same face as Sumatran women but most of them are actually whiter than I am. And the same for northern India where Punjabi women have a similar looking face. I think it's because I'm such a mix of places. But I really did think I was Latina when I first visited as they have the same body type in many areas.
