    I find it hilarious how Persia thought it was smart by playing the Greeks against each other, but all they did was fund the theater or war which would spread to conquer their empire when Alexander came around. Phillip of Macedon even learned strategy from Epaminondas during his childhood in Thebes.

      Thanks! I actually have a whole recording studio, been going through the microphones I have and trying out the easiest to use ones. I normally use a Condenser specifically an AKG c414, however, that requires phantom power, and my audio interface isn't the most portable as its meant for recording entire bands, and its rather permanently installed, meaning that trying to get it out during this lockdown stuff is a bit of a pain. Basically, I'm experimenting with what I have available in the house at the mo lol.

    Why do the Argives have the Vergina Sun on their shields??? Care to elaborate???

    • @JenniferM13
      @JenniferM13 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Vergina Sun is best known now as the symbol of the Macedonian royal dynasty called the Argeads. The dynasty itself orginated in Argos, so it's likely that the symbol did too.

    • @apostolispouliakis7401

    • @Lucifer_Morningstar_F4LL1N1
      @Lucifer_Morningstar_F4LL1N1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to Herodotus The Macedonians were descended from Argos. Aslo the symbol was a common one in the Greek world it's first appearance was hundreds of years before the Macedonian kingdom. The sun symbolizes the gods of Olympus and some elements. It evolved over the years and it changed shape by a bit

    while Spartans learned to dance ... srsly

    the sole fact that running a military state will eventually put your pop. to decline . etc etc .

    This video is highly bias. It's was the Roman that sacks all the major Greek cities, stole most of their wealth, but more than that, their advances tooling of the times, enslaves most teachers and engineers and making sures that the Greek states remains dependences on Rome.
    By the time, there were a East and West Roman empire, all the major Greek cities already fell on exceptionally hard times, the near lack of all resources, because the Roman Elite, as minors of a population there were, they own all the best farms lands and minerals mines in Greeks ever since Rome conquerors Macedon and destroys the Greek resistance, so when the "goth" and "slavic" shows up, they merely fought in a three way war, between the Roman Greek troops that are paid by the Roman Oligarch, and they were already fighting the local Greeks serfs, slaves and peasant.
    The result of that was the re-nationalizes of a sizeable amount of farms lands and mineral mines into the hands of the Eastern Roman state, lead by Roman Greek descendant Oligarchs, whom intergrades the populations of goth, slavic, greek, italians into their subjects, and slowly enter the era of serf, some small peasant, even fewer small independence farmers, and feudal king, aristocracy, monarchy's and nobility.
