Hi Gordon. I’m really surprised you’ve had this head buffeting problem with your Tiger. It concerns me that you may put a lot of people off considering the Tiger sport so I’d like to make my experience known. I’ve got a 2017 model, one of the last batch made and I’ve never had the problems you’ve encountered with the standard screen. I’m 6ft (76 years old). The bike has a standard seat etc and, regardless of where I place the screen I get no buffeting at all! Despite my age I’m no slouch when it comes to speed either. Hopefully this note will balance the matter and potential buyers will try the bike and find out for themselves if there’s a problem.

Hi Phil I am far from alone with having problems with the screen. I am 5’10” and the stock screen sent the airflow right at the top of my lid. The little deflector made no difference. The Palmer products adaptor has removed the buffeting but I get a lot of wind noise. Ear plugs sort that one out. I am tempted to get the MRA touring screen for longer trips and the short puig screen for day to day riding.

I’m in the same situation, the buffeting is really annoying it’s the most common complaint on the Facebook tiger1050 page. I was hoping this would have solve this, I guess it’s time for a smaller screen.

@heavyflank5795 I prefer the shorter screen and have put 10mm spacers in to allow airflow behind the screen. No buffeting at all but a lot more wind noise

Seems too be an issue with some, but certainly not all. I use an MRA Vario screen set half way up with deflector up highest position no problems at all, very smooth airflow, both with my Shoes GT Air 2 and Shoei Hornet ADV with peak. I am 5' 10" for ref. Thanks for the vid.

Hi you are the same height as me. I use a shoe GT Air but will be getting a new one soon so might try the GT Air 2. I think i will get the power bronze small screen for summer riding,

I have thé same euro 4 model. Puig touring screen + MRAP X-screen + 3mm spacers under the 2 top oem holes of the frame held by longer screws. Same spacers added to the top 2 fixings of the screen keeping the oem screws. No more buffering/wind noise at all

I might be tempted to try that when I have some spare cash.

I've got the low sport screen on my 2020 tiger sport, and it's fabulous in summer. I'm ok with the stock screen in winter (I'm 6'1" 185cm)

Thanks I was thinking about the low powerbronze one

@@upnorthbiker mine's the MRA sport screen. Highly recommended for looks and clean airflow

I put a Powerbronze low screen on my 2014 model. Original screen was horrible. I couldn't believe Triumph sold the bike like that.

What tint did you get. I ordered the stealth gray thinking it was transparent but the colour was solid so it came off and is getting sent back

Can't remember. It was 9 years ago. A dark smoke I think. Definitely transparent. Looks good with the black paint work.

I am not happy with it. No more buffeting but lots of wind noise. I am going to try a smaller screen next

What about the Powerbronze touring screen?
