Yes, dedicating a video from the ramp is a great way to get a good look at all the boats, trailers, the ever so ridiculously, beautiful and savage 2.5 litres and you can get good pics and sound of the guys firing up those beasts of wonderful, mechanical engineering, design and craftsmanship.
I do think it is a great idea to have both. I, myself love being at the ramp, love the sound. Yes, sometimes while watching the race, you miss things that are going on at the ramp and the other way also. Doing a video at the ramp, then a second on the water is good.
So my Father in Law and I Bass fished together in the early 2000’s. Local club tournaments. He told me about taking his “bass boat” out in the 90’s and “drag racing it”. He always likes to go fast! Sometimes I think that’s why he really fished. lol. He told me that his 20’ Cheetah had a 200 Mariner on it and he cleaned em up. Said they only had a drive gear. I don’t understand that, being a fisherman but, I love the performance of a boat. Can someone explain the lower unit gearing to me? And why only a drive gear? Or if I’m wrong. Totally New to this. Cool as hell hearing and seeing these boats!

You can look up a "mercury speedmaster" they only have forward cause the case is so small theres no room for anything else

Honestly I watch the racing videos mostly for the warmups on the ramps, so it was a good idea, lol.
Would love to see more technical videos of walk thrus on people boats. Go into the details of what all is done to them, setup, etc
