Excellent video sequence. The bolts that hold the side trims, over the fan air entry, and on the passenger side, just need to be loosened unless you want to altogether remove them. You can loosen the bolt and pull up on them and they will give you access.

Ruben, you filmed it real well very clear, great detail. I slowed down the video to 75% make it easier for me thanks a lot

May i know the cell must follow the number step to install?

Great filming. If only it was that easy to do. Some helpful pointers. Replace with Nichole plated buss bars. There not that expensive and will help prevent damage from aging cells. Testing just voltage won't get you very far unless the cell is completely shot. I'd rely on the priuses bms readings from a better scan tool. Also you did not show the balancing of the cells. I can tell you from experience not doing so will yield the triangle coming back 3-4 more times. Last thing there should be no voltage on the ground and positive hv leads going into the back. Even with the orange fuse still in you will have no voltage there as the contactor is open and there def will be no power with the fuse out. I do like the added rubber gloves.

Good video. You replaced cells that ranged 6.9 - 7.88V. What voltage would you consider good cells and bad cells?

I glad I have 2010 Camry Hybrid, I don't have the dreaded triangle of death. But battery code getting thrown through 4 times a day now.

Can you name all the tools we need to do this and what they will be used for? I don’t know anything about tools.

What about load testing and balancing the batteries

  • @RobertMOdell

You can't just swap in a new cell. All cells charge and discharge together as the battery operates. If the new cell charge does not match all the others, it will result in an overcharge state or undercharge state as the battery begins to operate again, causing the battery to shut down and throw an error.

Did you need to balance the new modules or did you just place them in the battery then in the car?

If i remove that entire battery pack, that car can run without that battery of hybrid?

Is it still holding up even though you didn't balance it

there is no need to take out the battery and the back seats, , there are other ways that helps you save so much time and be more effective and also you don't need to take out the 2 12 volt on the back , that makes the battery not be in stable anymore after you take it out , only the front 4 needs to be taken out

So 7.88 V its bad for a cell?
