This video saved me $400 to have installed. I followed step by step. The printed instructions were extremely difficult to follow. This guy is a savior. Thanks.

Update. The ac was in the window for 3 days before my dog chewed the cord. I'm now waiting for a new cord from Frigidaire ($139) and hopefully I can replace it with as much ease.

Frigidaire should be paying you and referencing this video in the manual, this is so much better than their crap instructions in the owners manual.

*Totally impressive **Fastly.Cool** in my room. Wish I designed this myself. We can’t believe how quiet it is. It’s not as heavy as our last AC unit but it works more evenly and efficiently. Extremely happy with this purchase.*

Great video. These instructions were the same for the 15,000 BTU model and while I was initially a bit frustrated that the whole thing seemingly needed to be taken apart in order to install it, it was relatively straightforward and simple. I was able to do it without a second person, but I would not recommend it.

…I pulled my back out putting a 138lb ac/heater unit. 25,000/16,000 BTU. My back healed in several weeks. I used a hydraulic floor jack to lift it up to the window height stuffing wood up under it till I got the correct height.

I'm finding out when you go to install the side retainers that hold the filler panels on either side of the cabinet , it's best to pre-bore the holes with the screws provided and then you can hand insert and tighten with your screwdriver. The holds on the retainers are too small to work with without making them bigger.

Does it have a "RESET" and a "TEST" button? I know that some brands of air conditioners do, on their plug that plugs into the wall outlet. I want to hear what the "trip" noise sounds like. I want to see the buttons all of a sudden extend outward when the other button is pressed. It says I must do this every time I use the air conditioner.

I have a 28,000 Frigidaire BTU. There's a massive amount of styrophome in the area right behind the front panel. I'm assuming I should take that out right? There's also this black sticky foam-like almost filler material that's similar to material to fill air gaps in windows. Should I remove that as well? It's in the same area, behind the front panel.

I've been up down all around in every which way in and out of every page or website that has anything to do with this air conditioner and nobody has anything to do with my question. I'm trying to figure out which is on this exact air conditioning unit below the screen or filter, what is a little compartment in the top left hand corner where there's two little notches for something to go into it but I don't know what goes into it and what is it for? I've been searching almost 3 hours now trying to figure this out cuz nobody seems to mention anything about it but it's clearly right in plain sight in your video and everybody else's but nobody gives any mention as to what in the hell it's even for...

They are both slide in and out chassis designs. If so, it will save a lot of time and work. Please respond ASAP.
