Well, I have not the slightest idea why this video was in my feed but it was nice. And to whomever it applies to, Godspeed.

@@hi4r112 Sucks to hear but CBP is a great route to go. Great benefits and pay. We need good people doing that - hope it works out for you!

As a medical examiner for the VA, for those interested in the military, I'd also do research on the VA disability program and listen to older and newer vets about how the military can shred your health and just "swipe things under the rug." I will have the upmost respect for ALL veterans, but not enough is said about the lack of adequate healthcare in the military and how the VA disability program treats it's vets.

@@YonexCC This is true. I will say I’ve heard and seen both sides of this. I know two people who have been able to get a 100% disability rating because they don’t hold back on their issues and fight for it. Document EVERY military related injury and sick call incident. Most people assume they can get out, and THEN start pointing back at their service and saying they have problems. But the quicker you get it documented and actually have a paper trail the higher your likelihood of getting the help you need. Also advocacy programs if you run into problems, those can be lifesavers.

@thenatrixundone I had no prior skills or training either. The company paid for the training to work for them just because I had a clearance.

@@codefast93 If you want a cake job go Air Force - anything but security forces is chill. If Army, there’s several: religious affairs specialist, dental assistant, public affairs mass communications specialist and most intel jobs.

What happens when the jab requirements or something else dumb comes back? Seems risky to hitch your horse there just for some easy admin job you could work into in other ways still fairly easily on civ side.

@@Birdsofparadiselost You make a great point. This was a huge reason I got out a few years ago and why several active duty buddies separated. I believe they received general discharges which kind of sucks. Eventually the gov said they could come back but I think less than 2% did. Goes to show it probably won’t work and it’d be dumb to try again..but if something does happen again, you have a choice to make. Always have a backup and be able to maneuver if need be.
