    Someone brought it to my attention that I spelled "Aperture" wrong in the video. The correct spelling of this word is "Aperture" NOT "Aperature." Just wanted to clarify and so sorry about the typo!

    The 1.2 is far too expensive and way too soft at 1.2. A better bet is the 1.4 but use it at 1.8 for increased sharpness.

      Hello, I love using the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L for both weddings & senior portraits. It is an amazing lens! I use it at either f/2.2 or higher to keep my subject properly in focus. You are right though, an aperture of f/1.2 would be too shallow; however, having a low light lens such as this one does improve image quality (helps to reduce grain & noise) especially during wedding receptions and at night.
