Which sound do you prefer?
Stage 2 for me, sounds like a great neighbor pisser offer!
It is, my neighbors say they hear me leaving every morning when I cold start mine and the NPP valve is wide open.
It makes up for the late evening ATVs they us at 11PM at night.
My stage 2 wakes up half the town when i open the no weeds cutouts
So 2 is louder than 4 I thought stage 4 was loudest

Friends got a stage 4 on a ZL1 Gen 5 with around 800 HP (he's a tuner by trade) .
I prefer the stage 2 for a daily driver and some street cred, the stuff you can put into these is crazy, be careful what you wish for.
Friends car has LT headers on a 3 inch exhaust with Borla mufflers.
It is used mostly in drag racing and not a daily driver. When he does drive it around town to screw around in it the noise is insane.
Going through a drive through he has to turn it off to talk and you have to shout a little to talk in the car and simply leaving a parking lot, it may burn out by accident with OEM tires.
He mostly uses drag tires but the stock street tires can't really handle the power.
This is helping me decide which cam I want, thanks! I still think that I'm going to go all out and get a stage 4.

My car is 2017 Camaro SS is getting it's Texas Speed cam and kooks long tube headers as I type. I can't wait. Both those cars sound and look amazing!!

Have the stage 2 car in this video... bought it from owner. Car is a beast. Have no issues passing smog/inspection in new york. Car has plenty of room to make more power. Completely streetable... these cars are not really streetable even in stock form lol.
Does it have any other exhaust modifications? Also in NY and have kept mine stock because I wasn’t sure what I can even get away with

I hope the seat on stage 4 still adjusts , looks too close to the wheel. Is the car back halfed or was the sheet metal just to cover parts of the stock chassis?
The Stage 4 car has Cobra Evolution-Proforce Kevlar racing seats AKA Halo racing seats which are fixed and mounted on a bracket and usually used with a 4/5/6 point harness.
Comfort isn't what these seats are made for. th-cam.com/video/ugWuTk-A5Fw/w-d-xo.html once you get in and strap in you are not moving.
The roll cage makes the rear seats useless and may as well take out the rear seat for weight reduction, they could probably strip the dash out also but probably want to make it look somewhat nice. Both sound great. I'm going with somewhere in the middle on my SS. A stage 3 should be right where I am needing to be.
A stage 3 on your SS might be around a stage 1 maybe even 2 on these Z28's being they make about 80 more crank hp factory

Ca car? How in God's green earth do you pass emissions? I own a 2017 1le, looking at no other choices other than smog legal FI in order to get some really decent power. Will these vehicles pass smog as is or is there some type of exception granted?
Honestly any car can pass emissions if you know the right people and are willing to pay.

DeathBYmonkies it’s called a wicker bill but what kind i have no clue, you can get them from places like zl1addons. I got mine for my challenger there. Hope that helps

" the power" isnt going to be a great difference tbh. Stage 4 will be getting the power at higher rpms then stage 2.
@@kriptic22 their stage 4 kit also comes with an intake manifold and larger throttle body. Its not just a more aggressive cam. I'd say you'd probably get another 50whp/40whtq give or take with the stage 4 package!

The power difference is maybe 2-5 hp up top...it's where the power is made that's the difference. A stage 2 makes peak maybe at 6500 where as a stage 4 for any cam and any company revs all the way to 7000, our small blocks don't need to rev that far out, also your torque is better in a stage 2 vs a 3 or 4. Bigger is not always better.

"Stage 4" bare interior and then you put sheet metal in to make it heavier again... and what the hell is that shift light for, when the head up display has a Formula 1-like shift indicator? What nonsense... whoever owns these wonderful cars does not deserve them, they need to go to true car enthusiasts which will take care of them and not bastardize them like this...
I think the stage numbers only refer to the cams not the actual car as a whole
