One my favourite places. If you carry on walking along the sea front you will come to a really interesting Historical area (Illeta-dels-banyets). It is well worth the few euros it costs to enter.
My mother-in-law has got a house 10 minutes drive from there. In a place called playa San Juan. I wished I had a pound for every time I've been to El campello. And there is some lovely shops a few streets behind the beach. I'm going there in 3 weeks . I'm glad you liked it there it is one of my favourite places .xx
Going in a couple months and this make me even more excited! Nice to see other Scots!🏴 Please let me know if you have any recommendations on things to do!😊
You've got a great tram system there if you walk towards the harbour there's a fantastic little Spanish restaurant and their calamari is absolutely second to none.
Have you guys got any closer to finding your permanent area/home to live in yet? So many nice areas to choose, I'm worried we are gonna be the same struggling to decide.
Really dislike Bernies. My Spanish girlfriend went in to order and was told English only. She's local and was fuming. Avoid the place like the plague now. El Campello is great but it's a shame quite a few of the decent restaurants on the seafront didn't make it through Covid. That Italian is good and the staff will bend over backwards for you.
@@ScottishCoupleInSpain a lot of the restaurants on the front close for the off season and its a lot quieter but there's always people around. You do get Brits there but not many. I think they prefer Benidorm or San Juan. Not sure about holiday homes but given how few Brits I see when I'm there I'm guessing there aren't many. All of August the beach is packed (mostly with people escaping Madrid) but you can always find a patch for a few hours.
@@gloxton sounds good. We would prefer a more Spanish area than where we are now and with an all year round population. I’m surprised at the Bernie’s comment too (Karen). The menu is in English and Spanish so to hear that isn’t good. I started to order in Spanish as I always do, but realised I didn’t have to! We don’t mind a lack of holiday homes, that’s much better for us living and working in Spain. The quieter winter months are ok too as long as there is some places to go for a meal on occasion. And it’s so close to Alicante too. Thanks for watching and thanks for the info!
you two aff the day.🌞looky lookies tae i see 😳,n a big bottle opener on the beach🪝,you should buy wifey the 1.5 million pad.cheers for the wee gander ah elcampello.

My mother in law is lucky enough to live there, not touristy at all ,the beach is beautiful. We love it there.
We went there in February this year for a wander around, really enjoyed it there. You should try Villa Joyosa, that really nice also.
Love it there as well. Beautiful place.

@gloxton Surprised by that, what is it like during the winter? How busy does it get in the Summer? Does it have a high % of holiday homes?
