An episode of The Whisk(e)y Vault hosted at Whisky Marketing School in Austin, TX. Today we talk about Octomore 6.3/ 258PPM Islay Barley from Bruichladdich distillery.
Just recently tried to 6.1 as well as the 8.3 and I cannot think of a better Whiskey In My Mind. You guys are truly a gift thank you for keeping up the good work.
Besides the fact that I apreciate all the advice an insides, I really enjoy the interaction between you to, and the pure enthousiasm for the whiskeys, thanks 😁
At about 9:45 where Daniel talks about how a whisky can taste so different from day to day depending on what you have drank or ate, I literally felt that in my soul. here about a month or so ago I had the pleasure of trying Ardbeg Uigeadail for the first time and about half way through the bottle it started to REALLY pop with those treacle and bacon notes as advertised but there was also this weirdly awesome Ovaltine/malted milk kinda vibe that I have been chasing ever since.
Thanks for making me feel better about sniffing .my.empty glasses all these years. When I finish a pour I always get different notes from the 'washed' glass. Well done lads.
I guess this Octomore 6.3 needs to be inserted into my small Whiskey vault. My whiskey collection thanks you for producing this fantastic TH-cam channel . :)
Whisk(e)y change!! I love it. I had that exact experience with Caol Ila 12. everytime i had a glass, it was a new experience. Sometimes it went back to a previous experience, other times it was all new. :) I recently finished the bottle, and WHAT A JOURNEY! So glad i started drinking whisk(e)y
This channel makes me all kinds of happy! Literally came home from the worst day of work in a LONG time to find this. Nothing but smiles after that! Bad thing is I've prob spent all my requests for the year with this one. Funny story actually, it was so bad I grabbed my bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail, a glass, and took it all to my room to lie in bed while drinking it (which I never do). My girlfriend comes home to find me there with a half empty bottle of Ardbeg and this video playing in the background. th-cam.com/video/Mj-BN9t6pW8/w-d-xo.html She prob thought I had lost my mind! Lol. Rex, I got Daniel to pour you OCTOMORE! You should be thanking me for my comments and telling Daniel to show me even more love!
First time i did that was with a nice white wine, 2013 Aubert Chard, it was beautiful but the glass note was caramel, honeycomb, lemon zest, and just a hint of cream, it was really wonderful
Noob questions: Is it necessary to keep bottles in those marketing tubes (or boxes) once they've been opened? I'm just now getting into a few adventures with brands that have them and my first inclination is to get rid of them, but maybe there's a technical reason not to?
I'm with Jimidrammer on the peat/smoke thing. I associate peat with moss, dirt, earth, wet forest, and vegetal flavors. Smoke is that woody, ashy, smokey thing. I find with Ardbeg 10 you get a lot more of the peat influence with a little warm campfire off in the distance. With Laphroaig 10 I find I get the reverse, with a big ashy beach bonfire up front with the vegetation taking back seat. The Octomores I've had usually skew more to the peat first flavors.
Finally bought a bottle of this over the weekend and it's every bit as intense as I was expecting! Love it! LiqourHound says to drink a little and let it oxidize for a few months before going back. He's pretty adamant about it so wondering if you've had similar results? Hard to buy this and not touch it again for so long. He also said this whiskey hates water.
I haven't done that on purpose, but our bottles have rested. I haven't noticed it made that much of a difference. And I disagree with the water assessment. But then again, it's all subjective, so who cares :-)
I have recently tried Highland Park 12, Highland Park dark Origins, lagavulin 16, Laphroaig 10, and Balcones brimstone. I am finding that I really like the Smoky whiskeys gentleman. Where do I go from here? Ardbeg Supernova or maybe bruichladdich octomore?
It's hilarious how Daniel screams after every drink. lol. Thanks for reviewing this for me! I've always loved when brands test how crazy they can make something for no other reason except "because they can". Never even tried this much less owned a bottle, but my b-day is coming up in a few weeks and I might have to splurge now. Any to recommend? There's like 10 different ones. I've also heard if you let it oxidize in the bottle for about a month, it gets even better.
Might be hard to translate to people who don't brew, but you can get cherry smoked, beechwood smoked and peat smoked malts. Brew them in beer and they taste nothing alike (although anything more than a tiny amount of peat in beer ruins it). After distillation, the peat is much toned down, the harsh acrid taste goes away, but it is still very distinct from wood smoke.
What do you guys think about doing a whiskey shoot out for whiskeys grouped by price point? grab a few whiskeys under 50 bucks for one episode, 50-100 in another, so on and so on. that way when I get paid next week I'll know which 20 dollar bottle I can buy.
I recently had Octamore after downing half a bottle of Laphroaig, the nose seemed highly similar to Laphroaig, but even I cant trust my senses when I am that drunk. But yeah, I will definitely be trying it again when sober.
The break at the 3:40 mark and Daniel going "Now that you're done with that..." afterwards - made it seem like Rex actually had to go choke the chicken, lol.
I tried Octomore at Whiskey On Ice, and this makes me sad that I couldn't spend a significant amount of time enjoying it. Even the little taste I got, it was special.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was going nuts the other night trying to put a finger on a note that I was getting from my dram of Oct. It was Band-Aids!! LoL!! Of course I was getting the others too, especially the cheese, but Band-Aids! Too funny
Question: Can you please purchase of bottle of Glenlivet 18 year old? Please? This is my favorite whisky out of the (just under) 200 bottles that I've tried. I just looked at your listing of the bottles in The Vault, and there's no mention of this one. If you do not totally enjoy the heck out of The Glenlivet 18, then I will offer your money back. By the way, it is one of Horst Leunings absolute favorites also. He has the choice of a lot of whiskys, so for him to rave about this one means something. Cheers!
What’s the differences between this octomore and the one in the black bottle. I was given one win a black bottle as a wedding present. It was ages for 6 years. How old is the white variant ?
So the new Bruichladdich Octomore 8.3 is an incredible 309ppm, I'd be very interesting to know if the peatiness is just overpowering at that point, even for peat lovers.
Hi you recently suggested the Bunnahabhain 12 to me. But all I can find here in Norway that I don't have to order is the Bunnahabhain Toiteach Islay Single Malt. I'm wondering what's the difference between these two and how dose it stack up compared to the 12.
I associate peat with earthiness like potatoes in a dirt floor root cellar or the damp peat moss in plants. Smoke is just a bonfire, day old campfire, BBQ or forest fire smoke. Sometimes there's a balanced combo of those present that really ramps up the complexity, then just add Sherry and you have the quintessential...Ardbeg Uigeadail!
Very cool episode, now did Rex actually enjoy it? You are completely right its not for beginners, even practiced drinkers have a tough time with this one. I personally find its like drinking a burnt out cow shed the morning after the emergency services put the blaze out.
I just ordered a bottle of the 08.3. It will be my first .3 Octomore after trying a couple of the .1's Sadly though the bottle has been delivered I'm stuck at work for about another month.
Thanks: Started watching a good year ago, so tip of the hat to both of you. And thanks for introducing me to the wide breadth of whiskey. I didn't really drink neat whiskey before and stumbled onto the channel when ya'll were doing the advent piece. Question: Daniel on more than one occasion has mentioned that you can't fake age. Which brings us to my question, would it be possible to accelerate the aged effect of whiskey in the barrel with the addition of pressure to force the liquids into the wood? I'm just curious if there's been such a thing attempted. (asking out of sheer ignorance) p.s. Rex is pretty alright too I guess.
There are certain things you can accelerate and certain things you can't. For example, the moving of whisky in and out of the wood that gives it color can be faked by pressurizing the whisky off / on or by using smaller barrels for a higher wood to liquid ratio. But there are certain chemical compounds that as far as we can tell, only occur with time. It it's those things no one has figured out how to fake.
Today's World Whisky Day spread for my father and I includes Maker's Mark, Blanton's, Dewar's White Label, Jameson Caskmates, Yamazaki 12, Tamdhu 10, and Aberfeldy 12.
I have more recently noticed just how much what you have eaten, or are eating, can really sway how something is perceived. Dalmore 12 is great don't get me wrong but after having it with a nice bacon cheeseburger I don't know that I can go back to having it by itself.
Hi guys love the vids, they are great fun and informative. Just want to say how much I agree with Daniel (I know he doesn't like 'Dan' :D ) about how some nights a whisky can be agreeable and lovely, and on others, it just kicks your arse. I had a Caol Ila the other week and enjoyed it immensely, but tonight, its pinning me down and slapping my face, and the ridiculous thing is, I'm enjoying it!!
I completely agree with this. Usually I really love Octomore. When we did the video on it, I thought I was going to have step outside and sit down for a moment. But overall, it's amazing how every part of the moment can change a whisky experience.
O.K so I think I should say that I'm only 19 at the moment and I can not wait till I turn 21 and buy my first whisky bottle. So if I can get a suggestion of a introduction, intermediate and advanced level, I do have 2 years of saving so a budget is really not problem, is there any suggestions?
Guys - I'm able to get a hold of octomore for 123 EUR. Is that worth it or should i buy 2-3 bottles of something else? I'm a big Laphroaig and Ardbeg fan. Thanks!
Love your reviews but I do have a question: What independent bottling whisky would you suggest that is as good or better in your opinion than the actual distillers bottling? Slainte
Oh man, this is an amazing thing to figure out. I haven't found one yet, but if there is one, I'd guess it's either a Signatory or a Duncan Taylor. The search is on.
Independent bottlings are often cask strength, natural colour, an unchillfiltered unlike many Official bottlings which distillers attempt to keep consistent from batch to batch. Therefore there are wide ranges of taste. Many are fantastic but some can be lass than good. Always check whiskybase or whiskyfun before buying an independent bottling or any bottling for that matter.
All the whisky. Actually last night I had Talisker 10 with a steak and seafood dinner, and it changed it's character at least 3 times during the meal. Amazing.
Very interesting! Im lovin islay and smoky scotch. Daniel, whats your top 5 smoky scotch under 100 please sir? I think i can handle the smoke! Thank you!
How many flippin restaurants do you have down the road that are so amazing, every video you guys talk about some great eatery that is only five steps away from the vault
Hi guys. Im a complete novice when it comes to whiskey. However im looking for more than just drinking and instead want to learn to understand and enjoy what im drinking. There isnt really much choice of whiskey in the pubs by where i live in the UK. Can you possibly help in respect to both how to understand all the differences i might taste/smell but also how to choose which bottles to get. All help and ideas welcome. Thanks again. Russ
Russ, honestly there are so many directions to go on this, there's no real right or wrong one. My recommendation would be to start a habit of trying every whisky you can find in the pubs, one at a time. Add water if the alcohol content is to intense, but add it only a few drops at a time until it's just right. Eventually you can add less water. As you work your way through what's available, you'll learn about what you like, and you'll find that you raise your threshold for high alcohol content. Good luck!
Wizard Academy Thanks for the advice. Any good books that are usefull in regards to background knowledge? Also is there any chance of a Makers Mark episode as its always been a favourite of mine out of the few iv tried. Cheers
In terms of the amount of smoky/peat flavour, how does this compare to Compass Box's Peat Monster. I have tried the Peat Monster and described it as licking an old man's pipe. A strange way of saying I loved it but that's what it reminded me of
Just saw the new modern rogue video. Daniel, 8 years for longmorn 16? Here you can buy it on AMAZON! And even with next day delivery :D Who needs McKenna when you can have that one :D not budget though.
For those that haven't seen it, check out Daniel talking to the boys at Modern Rogue. I think they're great videos for those of us (myself included) that know little about whisky and want some beginner info. They've done a couple of videos, just search through their latest stuff to find them. Link to their latest one below. Plus Brian Brushwood is there so there's that. th-cam.com/video/1cCZrlgNpak/w-d-xo.html Sorry to plug another channel, but i think its some great info, and its mostly Daniel.
so problem: I love Octomore, but holy shit is it hard to drink. Is there anything I can do in the future with a whiskey that I like, but find very difficult to drink?
When I tried to go for a really ferocious smell, I got a note, that I can't really name, but I just want to smell it for the rest of my life... I started smelling it gently, and it was sweet, apple fig, meat bbq sauce, then I started inhaling with a bit more force, and alcohol hit me, then I tried to inhale with almost all my force and got that note
After checking out Angels Envy, I found out it's distilled by Midwest Grains Product(i think that's the name) and found out they source tons of whiskeys for tons of companies, and you can get their recipes to make your own. what are your thoughts on how to tell when a whiskey brand is truly making something new versus being basically identical to another brand?
Yes. We've talked at length about MGP in videos past. I've found that the variances in aging, blending, and grain blends create such different whisky, you'll have a really hard time getting two to taste the same. And that goes for stuff being made at MGP as well.
Wizard Academy that's what I was thinking, but since I'm just branching out past the major label whiskeys I wasn't sure. and as I go through your archive I'm sure I'll find those videos
I'm not 100% sure on this, but pretty damn sure the regular port barrel finish bourbon is distilled by them. Their Rye Whiskey is def is sourced from MGP though. They have a cask strength too I think they distill themselves as I haven't seen an MGP cask strength before. Look for something about being distilled in Indiana on the back of the bottle. Sure fire way to tell it's MGP. Though it's not a bad thing as MGP makes great whiskey.
Yes, the rye is mgp, but I think the bourbon is produced by Louisville Distilling Co where Lincoln Henderson was master distiller since 2005. I may be off on details, but that's what I heard.
The coating technique from whiskey watch seems a lot like Richard Paterson's recommendation to put some whisky in a glass then throw it out. You should compare, because science
Hey guys i have been watching your video's for about six months now and I was hoping you could help me, i fell in love with islay because of bowmore, i jumped right to laphroiag and was wondering what you would recommend trying next and if there are any bourbons that are smokey like islay scotch.
Enjoying following on with the whiskys I have ,can you two do a “the glenlivet” video on the normal and 15 year and the green label there please (I know its not your cup of tea) preferring peaty ones making room for the peat... lol
What he likes the most if i can describe it, is i would say medium and woody with a glimpse of sugar, i know he likes rye a lot so if you would have any suggestion that'd be great and by the way i live in Canada. Anyways thanks for the fast reply and keep up with the videos they are sweet!
i don't know why is rakia a brandy, because it's not sweet at all, it gets small sweetness from fruits . but if you drink like vine rakia even plum ones have really strong taste .
Bruichladdich is by far my favourite scotch distillery. Octomore is always an event, and Port Charlotte Islay Barley is my 'go to'.
Guys you are the best explaining the world of single malts....I love watching each n every vid of yours.
T-shirt idea #2: Daniel's excited face, and FUNKY CHEESE! written above it.
Daniel is just gonna have all the oddball shirts.
How about Daniel in a Gandalf hat with the line " you shall not pass... up a good whisk(e)y"
Well done on the 100th video guys...

Octomore runs at about £100 here in Scotland, $200 is about £150. That's a big difference even for an expensive bottle.
Never thought I'd get hungry from watching a whisk(e)y video. Well done fellas.
Eat heartily, drink well, party like a hobbit.
You should be thanking me for my comments and telling Daniel to show me even more love!
hahahah. this is awesome. Whisky soothing the savage beast within.
Yes! And what a savage beast it is! I do love aggressive whiskies when I'm angry though.
One of the best peated whiskies ive ever had. Eagerly anticipating the 9.3s
Always enjoy smelling the whisky glass hours later after drinking or sometimes even the next day
First time i did that was with a nice white wine, 2013 Aubert Chard, it was beautiful but the glass note was caramel, honeycomb, lemon zest, and just a hint of cream, it was really wonderful
Speaking of different smoke profiles, have you ever tried Iron Smoke Straight Bourbon Whiskey? They apparently use Apple wood to smoke their grains.
Whiskey Vault That damned LiqourHound and his false assessments! Haha I'll do my own experiments tho and see what I come up with. For science!

Hopefully one day I can build up to this, I think their regular un peated even smells like peat.
Cheese sausage, with a burned outside. I love you guys to an unhealthy level.
Might be hard to translate to people who don't brew, but you can get cherry smoked, beechwood smoked and peat smoked malts. After distillation, the peat is much toned down, the harsh acrid taste goes away, but it is still very distinct from wood smoke.
my boss let me try some. it tasted like a package of bandaids burnt onto an electric stovetop scraped into a glass of acetone and shaken for 2 hours
Sounds delish
I want some
What do you guys think about doing a whiskey shoot out for whiskeys grouped by price point? grab a few whiskeys under 50 bucks for one episode, 50-100 in another, so on and so on.
that way when I get paid next week I'll know which 20 dollar bottle I can buy.
I like the idea, but we'll likely save that for the new channel.
Wizard Academy sounds great. anything you guys are I'm I'm watching
its so funny watching Danial get his butt kicked after threatening Rex to get his big boy pants on; and then to see Rex handling it just fine.
Yet Rex still had a full glass at the end of the video
HE IS NOTHING BUT A LIE
I recently had Octamore after downing half a bottle of Laphroaig, the nose seemed highly similar to Laphroaig, but even I cant trust my senses when I am that drunk.
But yeah, I will definitely be trying it again when sober.
The break at the 3:40 mark and Daniel going "Now that you're done with that..." afterwards - made it seem like Rex actually had to go choke the chicken, lol.
Love your vids guys! That evaporate aroma thing works amazingly well. Try it with Hibiki 21...Chrstmas cake in a glass...Octomore love!
I tried Octomore at Whiskey On Ice, and this makes me sad that I couldn't spend a significant amount of time enjoying it. Even the little taste I got, it was special.
I know the feeling
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was going nuts the other night trying to put a finger on a note that I was getting from my dram of Oct. It was Band-Aids!! LoL!! Of course I was getting the others too, especially the cheese, but Band-Aids! Too funny

This is my jam right here. Liquid smoke.
What’s the differences between this octomore and the one in the black bottle. I was given one win a black bottle as a wedding present. It was ages for 6 years. How old is the white variant ?
Different ages, vattings and taste profiles.
So the new Bruichladdich Octomore 8.3 is an incredible 309ppm, I'd be very interesting to know if the peatiness is just overpowering at that point, even for peat lovers.

Possibly the best Scotch I've ever tasted, so far. Crazy smoke but balanced. Maybe I'll get to drink it again someday.
Time for an update! the 8.4 is available now!
You guys should do a Octomore Series comparison.
Today's World Whisky Day spread for my father and I includes Maker's Mark, Blanton's, Dewar's White Label, Jameson Caskmates, Yamazaki 12, Tamdhu 10, and Aberfeldy 12.
You are swimming in an embarrassment of riches, my friend.

oh man. That sounds so good. I'm going to try that.
I probably enjoyed it a little to much.
The shenanigans and Whiskey talk is nice and all but, where is this picture on Daniel in shorts???
Hi guys love the vids, they are great fun and informative. Just want to say how much I agree with Daniel (I know he doesn't like 'Dan' :D ) about how some nights a whisky can be agreeable and lovely, and on others, it just kicks your arse. We'll have to work on this one ;-) Expect an answer in a video later.
what was the first whikey you guys ever drank? did you have one that just instantly got you hooked on the first smell?
For me it was Lagavulin 16 that captured me with smell first. Still love it!
Daniel, what is your Edc knife?
Why do you prefer a Gencairn over a Copita glass?
Guys - I'm able to get a hold of octomore for 123 EUR. Is that worth it or should i buy 2-3 bottles of something else? I'm a big Laphroaig and Ardbeg fan. Thanks!
Would you fine gentlemen review the 7.1? Pretty wonderful dram, and I'm still trying to understand/ appreciate it to the fullest!
, Look for cheese-sausage with a burned outside - absolutely love that.
Love your reviews but I do have a question:
What independent bottling whisky would you suggest that is as good or better in your opinion than the actual distillers bottling?
Slainte
Oh man, this is an amazing thing to figure out. I haven't found one yet, but if there is one, I'd guess it's either a Signatory or a Duncan Taylor. The search is on.
Can't wait to see what you come up with. Cheers
Scotch Malt Whisky Society have some good independent bottling's.
I got two on the way so Ill be doing an Instagram review on these soon
Independent bottlings are often cask strength, natural colour, an unchillfiltered unlike many Official bottlings which distillers attempt to keep consistent from batch to batch. Therefore there are wide ranges of taste. Many are fantastic but some can be lass than good. What whiskey would you use during Christmas dinner
Thank you!
hi guys.. like the way you tell bout whiskeys .my question is will you ever try to make a video about indian brand whiskey?
We have! Amrut Fusion
some bottles are badly constructed so some drops run down after pouring is it just me that always licks em upthey wont get away with me
How many flippin restaurants do you have down the road that are so amazing, every video you guys talk about some great eatery that is only five steps away from the vault
Good restaurants in Austin are like casinos in Las Vegas. Freaking everywhere.
You guys really hit this one home. Chase it with some Macallan M
A strange way of saying I loved it but that's what it reminded me of
i was waiting for you guys to compare this to the supernova, ardbeg
oohhhhh yeah. I'll add it.
Just saw the new modern rogue video. Daniel, 8 years for longmorn 16? Here you can buy it on AMAZON! And even with next day delivery :D
Who needs McKenna when you can have that one :D not budget though.
Now you're just rubbing it in ;-)
Anyone know where I can get an empty bottle of this for my collection? That frosted glass is awesome.
If you're still on the hunt, eBay always has sellers of empty bottles from different distilleries.

Sorry to plug another channel, but i think its some great info, and its mostly Daniel.
Thanks for this, Harley! We love Modern Rogue.
so problem: I love Octomore, but holy shit is it hard to drink. Is there anything I can do in the future with a whiskey that I like, but find very difficult to drink?
this was a 7.3 I think that I had though
7.1*
a very few drops of water *very few* drops of water and let it airiate/oxygenate. I bet you will experience a much more full taste.
Wizard Academy Yes, it's distilled there.
I don't have any glencairn glasses yet. Should I use wine glasses until I get glencairn glasses?
You could! But the smaller the wine glass the better.
A COGNAC GLASS WORKS GREAT
You can pick up nosing glasses at sur la table for $10 a piece, german crystal.
The Mackmyra "Svensk Rök" is apparently smoked with juniper and peat.
Colkegan - a Santa Fe whiskey - aged with a wood you might recognize. spicy! - not my favorite but a sure recognizable taste if you like Texas BBQ
The coating technique from whiskey watch seems a lot like Richard Paterson's recommendation to put some whisky in a glass then throw it out. You should compare, because science
Very much. And always science. Let's do it.
Ralfy recommends a coating "stroll" around the glass before nosing.
Hey guys i have been watching your video's for about six months now and I was hoping you could help me, i fell in love with islay because of bowmore, i jumped right to laphroiag and was wondering what you would recommend trying next and if there are any bourbons that are smokey like islay scotch.
Not really any bourbons that I know of. But you might dig higher proofs.
I havent found any bourbons that i lime they're all to sweet for my taste
daaaaaaamn daniel hard right nipple... but on a serious note, has either of you tried any Mackmyra (Swedish) whiskys?
We have one of the originals, but that's it! We'll add it to the tastings!
Enjoying following on with the whiskys I have ,can you two do a “the glenlivet” video on the normal and 15 year and the green label there please (I know its not your cup of tea) preferring peaty ones
making room for the peat... lol
What I'm finding interesting is that you two are excited about band-aid and phenol, when I'm used to those being unwanted in craft beer tasting.
Those flavours become much more subtle once distilled.
Damn i think i want some heavily peated crafted stouts
Daniel can you review a duty free/ Distillery only whisky/whiskey?
I'd have to track one down first. Or you could mail it to us! ;-)
What is the most expensive whisk(e)y either of you have ever had? Also was it worth the price?
It really sounds like they left it on the yeast cake to age before they distilled it.
Has anyone compared the Octomore 7.3 to the 9.3 ? I have a chance to buy only one so looking for some feedback here.............Slainte'
Daniel, almost a hundred videos ago you said that you would never mention peat parts per million again. Yet, here we are. ;)
How do they control the amount of peat (ppm) in a whiskey?
Similar to controlling the level of smoke in bbq. Changing how much smoke is introduced into the drying room, etc
Is there a limit to the reaches of Peat? Could Octomore be outdone?
Hey whisk(e)y vault my fathers birthday is comming up and i wanted to buy him a nice bottle of whisky any suggestion? thanks !
What does he like to drink?
What he likes the most if i can describe it, is i would say medium and woody with a glimpse of sugar, i know he likes rye a lot so if you would have any suggestion that'd be great and by the way i live in Canada.
Anyways thanks for the fast reply and keep up with the videos they are sweet!
Never thought of "Gangrenous Band Aid" as a tasting note.
I had a bit too much of my infinity bottle, and I can't stop laughing at this.
See what you do.... Now I need to get that for my self
fucking love Octomore. My wife got it ordered through a local liquor store for me for Christmas.
I would like for you to review one of the first whiskeys I tried, James Martin's 20, if possible :)
I'll see if I can get one!
2:54 so classy
Yeah, idiot on the right is unwatchable
Noticed something... You haven't done anything with chivas...
Hey guys could you review Johnny Walker king George V
I enjoyed your bang for buck video.. but perhaps a video talking about a little higher price level for each whisky style..?
God, I wish these were in my budget.
be kinda cool if rex could finish a thought lol
Octomore is easily the best whisky I've tasted. Especially for the price. I get it in the UK though
Smelling Rex's breath after a few pulls on the glass.
Wanted to ask Daniel, did you ever drink rakia?
Not yet. I'm not much of a brandy fan. Sweet things are not my preference. The closest I come is tawny port.
i don't know why is rakia a brandy, because it's not sweet at all, it gets small sweetness from fruits . but if you drink like vine rakia even plum ones have really strong taste .
I can't be the only one wondering, why does Daniel have a red star above his oversized medallion????
It's the "level three" sommelier addition. Plus.. bling!
I was thinking it's one of the 14 required pieces of flair.
It was a gift from Flav-A-Flav. It means he is a level three hype man.
