This story reminds me of my own. I lost my dad at 6 years old and my mom at 12 years. My sister stepped in and took me in when she was only 23 years old. She did a great job raising me too because I'm now 27 with a career and a family. Thank you Dhar Mann. When I was 16 I had to live alone. I had a lot of bills that I've never heard of. I missed 2 years of my childhood and had to drop out of college. This story always reminds me of that day. What Quinn did is amazing. I could never do that. This shows that family will always be there for you.
I've been through something like this! My brother and I lost our mom for 2 years, I was 21, he was 11 and I had to step up. I held a full time job and had to drop out of school to ensure he was taken care of. At Christmas I worked 3 jobs to ensure he had what he wanted. I'm currently 34, he's 24 and our family is complete again. Thankfully my school system was aware of the situation and helped me out tremendously. So thank you Fairview (Ashland Ky) and AT&T for all of the support those years back.
The torment was real though! Going to movies and being told there was no way a 21 year old guy was the guardian of an 11 year old boy, trying to go to amusement parks, health care at the hospitals? It's tough. I commend you Hunter!
I'm 25 and I'm raising my 14 year old sister. I've been doing it for years now. People need to understand that we are young and we will fail at times but we love them and would do anything to make their life better

13:23 Hunter and Gracie share the same dad who passed away in 2015. When Gracie’s mom passed away in 2021, Gracie was going to be sent into foster care. Wow so sad
Wow. This is so relatable. My school took my parents to court for simply tardiness when they can’t control when we get there. Then they called CPS or whatever it’s called, and there is a foster care lady, who came every month 5 times. She doesn’t come anymore because we tried our best to prove ourselves innocent cuz we are. And I remember a meeting with the principal, and he is just like “and I would have to bring your parents back to court do you want that?” For simply being late to school by 1 minute. Like seriously?
i’m so sorry you went through that that’s horrible, sometimes people think everything is black and white when it so clearly isn’t thank you so much for sharing your experience❤️
Toying with my emotions. Went from angry at the teacher, to trying not to cry during the flashback, to smiling at the end. Such a good story too. I love when they end like this even if I do like seeing karma catch up with the bad guys in some stories.
"School got out over 20 minutes" Literally when I was in school I would wait over a half hour every day to be picked up. I guess social services should've taken me away 🙄
This is so heartwarming. Love can really make you swim oceans, yes? Thank you for sharing this story, Dhar Sir! Hunter and Gracie, I hope you continue to see warmth and happiness in the little things 💕
This reminds me of my sister. Whenever my mom got sent to the hospital, my sister would always take care of me. She cooks for me too. I remember one time we went to the dentist for a check up for me. Then suddenly the dentist said to me: “your mom can follow me to the waiting room” 😂😂😂😂
Dang- that Karen has nothing to do with Emmy and Quinn's lives, btw at the end why do I feel like she fished out the same meal out of the garbage from the field trip and gave it back 😂
This was actually one of the Dhar Mann videos im rly suprised by. Amazing acting, saw no flaws in the script and relatable aswell as very sad knowing this was a real story. Dhar Mann has the ability to come up with masterpieces like this
"We should never judge anyone before we know them." People judge others' lifestyles first, but never their own. That's why it's necessary to get to know someone first, because you never know what's happening in their lives.
This made me tear up, even though I've never experienced this myself I can see how daunting it must be for a young adult to put everything aside and take care of someone younger, not being able to fully commit to their hobbies and interests because they have to be looking out for their younger sibling, its rewarding and an amazing feeling when you know you've succeeded in filling in the parents role, but its not easy, Quinn did a good job here in showing us that age doesn't matter, as long as you're responsible and mature enough to look after someone 24/7 That's what matters ❤😊
I could never imagine seeing those siblings apart. Sometimes you won’t just be a sister sometimes you’ll be a parent and sometimes that is one of the best things on earth❤❤❤
Totally. I don't buy her apology at the end, since it took the CPS officer telling her Quinn's a good guardian to make her stop being mean to her. Even if she was right about Quinn not being fit to be a guardian, it wouldn't have justified her judgmental harassment. Quinn should've gone to the principal and reported her, because no teacher should keep their job after harassing a guardian like that and trying to have a student thrown into the foster care system.
Moral of this story; never judge people before you get to know them because you don’t know what they are going through. We’re not just telling stories, we’re changing lives.

I was a 21 year old mom and while tough my son and I are SO close. We have a better relationship than my mom and I ever had. He’s 11. Being a young mom has a ton of benefits as long as you are responsible and remember to be mom first, not just a friend.
This story brought me to tears. It's incredible the love one can have for another. As the oldest sister of 10 kids, I see myself as a second mother, and I love my siblings dearly. I would find a way to adopt them all if something like this happened. Thank you for another great video Dhar, and a great moral for us to live off of. 💖
My grandfather is the oldest of 8 children. It really is AMAZING how much love siblings can have for each other. The teacher could have and should have just asked Quinn what was going on instead of just judging her. That’s great to hear how the CPS lady felt she was doing an incredible job taking care of Emmy.
This video made me so happy especially since it was based on a true story. So many kids go through this, but not all of them have the happiest endings or the best family. I love your videos dhar Mann, please never stop. And bless the kids that go through this.
Just seen the trailer and this seems AMAZING!! Dhar Mann never fails to entertain us and teach good life lessons. Keep up the good work Dhar and "So you see were not just telling stories, were changing lives"
There are real parents that always feed their child unhealthy food and some don’t even pick their kids up from school. She is so responsible compared to real parents.
age doesn't matter, responsibility does. I'm 15 and I've been babysitting my brother for so many years. My parents know how responsible I am with children, at this point I'm basically my brother's second mother.
This is probably my favorite Dhar Mann video, especially the fact that it was based on a true story. I really felt connected on a personal level watching it.
The story hit hard because I know what it’s like not having your dad around because he’s in the military thank you for this inspiring message love your videos keep up the hard work
Dhar this is one of the first times I’ve cried watching your videos we love all your support Dhar Mann! Never judge a book by its cover especially if you haven’t met them yet💗I love your videos Dhar Mann
This story had me in tears. It reminded me of years gone by in 1973, I had a baby at age 14 years of age. It was hard, and sadly, I was not mature enough to be a mom. I failed in so many ways. But I adored him. The oldest sister in this story just made me want to hug her. Brought beauty to my heart and respect to this piece. (still crying) thank you so much
wow, this story is really inspiring and I think it is also telling the entire world the message to never judge someone before you get to know them. I really loved the video. I cannot imagine what it feels like to go through something like that. I hope hunter and Gracie are well and doing fine. Thank you dhar Mann for making this video. It was awesome and unfortunate too but I loved it.

I was a 21 year old mom and while tough my son and I are SO close. We have a better relationship than my mom and I ever had. He’s 11. Being a young mom has a ton of benefits as long as you are responsible and remember to be mom first, not just a friend.
lol
Good point! 👍
My god 10 kids what the hell how do you guys survive even if your parents make 20,000 a month thats still not enough to live comfortably
Mah yeha
It's nice to hear of big families - a lot of love and devotion to family seems to be a common thread from the ones i've met❤🙌🙏
Thank you for watching, Brinley. I hope the message of this video inspired you. Stay tuned for more videos to come.
such heartfelt story🥲
I loved it too! ❤ Quinn is such a wonderful sister and so is Hunter in real life.
13:24 I'm about to cry 😢 😭
Just seen the trailer and this seems AMAZING!! Dhar Mann never fails to entertain us and teach good life lessons. Keep up the good work Dhar and "So you see were not just telling stories, were changing lives"

Fricking vegan teacher
I almost cried at the time she was telling the story about her caring about her sister 🥹
Poor thing it touched my ❤😢

12:45 “no, woman, I think I mentioned that I HAVE A JOB”
Ik I was thinking that 😂😂
This story had me in tears. (still crying) thank you so much
Youre lyinh
@@Fusion-chromeyea, these people do this to get attention, but sometimes, they tell the truth, so maybe this person is telling the truth
Me personally I would’ve snatched the McDonald’s 😏
wow, this story is really inspiring and I think it is also telling the entire world the message to never judge someone before you get to know them. I really loved the video. I cannot imagine what it feels like to go through something like that. I hope hunter and Gracie are well and doing fine. Thank you dhar Mann for making this video. It was awesome and unfortunate too but I loved it.
Yeah
The woman who played "Ms. Thompson" is such a great actress. I love her performance in all the roles she has portrayed thus far
Thank you for your feedback, Arana. I appreciate it.
This is very emotinal. Considering the fact it's based on a true story, it's very beautiful! Dhar Mann you did amazing with this one :)
Back in my day in school (the 90s ) kids would wait for their parents for ages. They'd just play with friends while they waited.
Yup.
This brought tears to my eyes.. this was a wonderful message Dhar. Thank you! ❤️
Yes, as the story went along, I figured Quinn was her older sister.
Dhar mann really does amazing videos he and his team puts a lot of work and effort into making these videos show some support to this man.''we're not just telling stories we're changing lives"that line never gets old and I can tell this is going to a great video!!!
