I originally saw this in like 7th grade before I realized this was one of many Bruce Lee imitators. Whoever choreographed this fight did excellently. This is easily the best Bob Wall has ever looked on screen. The music is kick-ass. The whole sequence just oozes raw power and intensity. Never get tired of rewatching this.
Have you noticed that virtually none of the moves that Bruce Lee did (lock arms and kick up through to jaw, both legs kicking at the same time from "Enter The Dragon" ) have ever been successfully replicated ?

The actor/martial artist playing him does it justice and respectful. Also the scenes are shot very well, careful not to show too much of his face to give it away thats its not the Legend Bruce himself. Makes him feel even more mythological in this movie to by the time you actually see Bruce's immortal fight scenes at the very end.

This sequence is to me a masterpiece and it had totally blew my mind when I was a child. This part remains unbelievable, to me. Plus, I have to say that the soundtrack of this movie is really underrated.

It’s also just impractical in a fight. But in the movie it’s literally not real, like objectively you are looking at special effects here. It honestly looks very silly.
One of a few good things about this version of Game of Death is that you have a chance to see Bob Wall at his fighting best in comparison to 'The Way of the Dragon' and 'Enter the Dragon'. In the other 2 films, Bruce Lee wiped the floor with him to where he not only looks easy to beat for someone who was world champion, but you didn't get a chance to see his potential. :)

Good things about Robert Clouse's Game of Death- 1. The soundtrack. 2. Some of the re choreographed fight scenes done by Sammo Yung. 3. Some of the actors like Bob Wall, and Gig Young. 4. And of course the Bruce Lee footage. Yes it is trimmed down significantly but at least it contains the best moments and it still does make for a great climax.
The editing choices here, the camera angles, the perfect cuts to old Bruce Lee footage. It's a literal masterpiece. Excellent Making like this is why I grew up thinking this was actually Bruce Lee, not doubting anything for a sec😮

My favorite parts are 0:11 when he looks behind him and sees Billy and then he says "Who The Hell Are You? Get Going, Fella." And my other favorite part is at 2:44 how the way Bob Wall looks while he's grabbing Billy's forearms and putting his foot on Billy's back.

They used cutouts of Bruce Lees face that were obvious, and somehow, they were capable of doing something this good, like cgi quality, when there was absolutely no need too, because the actor imitating Bruce was capable of all of this. Bruce Lee's original concept of The Pagoda Fight scenes consisted of 5 Levels, each guarded by a "Martial Arts Mercenary" In addition to Dan, The Hapkido Master & Kareem, Bob Wall would have been a great villain on one of the levels!
An interesting fact that Sammo Han and Bob Wall actually choreographed that fighting scene. The director was busy with something and both of those guys wanted a good fight that didn't look silly like the others. So, they planned the fight and well....such a great job on their end on it.

I saw this movie in video played by VCR cassette in a year 1986 when i was 10 years old and till now i never forget Bruce lee movies.

Lord Bison yeah, but Robert Wall was actually on Bruce's side in the original version. As well, Jackie Chan made an appearance in that movie.
An interesting fact that Sammo Han and Bob Wall actually choreographed that fighting scene. The director was busy with something and both of those guys wanted a good fight that didn't look silly like the others. So, they planned the fight and well....such a great job on their end on it.
