"She changes her vocal styling to suit what she is singing." -- Bingo! You nailed it, Grant. That's what great artists do. You already know, Grant, because you live it as an artist. You also nailed it on the commentary about current pop singers - the majority of them - not having the *genuine* versatility to change into different styles to suit different genres. You nailed it on the "lack of [vocal] development" in today's young singers. Thanks for that rant. It needed to be said.

Mori is amazing, and I love this fun side of her too (and every other side for that matter)!! Speaking of Jessie J, JJ helped get Mori's career rolling when she came to the Philippines, Mori was a reporter assigned to interview JJ for a local channel, Jessie discovered that Mori was a singer, and she invited Mori on the spot to join her on stage in her concert. JJ calls Mori out of the audience, they sung "Who You Are", which Mori had ironically sung in the Voice of the Philippines and felt that may have been partly responsible for her elimination because she had been advised not to sing Who You Are. Here is the link. th-cam.com/video/azAZcmcWaRc/w-d-xo.html Mori gets very emotional about being given the opportunity. It is fun to watch Jessie's background singers as they start out like they are going to take Morissette under their wings and then their jaws drop when Morissette starts singing.

Nothing better than some late night Grant Ray Reactions of Morissette! Yes, preparation is everything as an artist....then throw it away and trust that the work you have done will be there! Throwing out a few suggestions...back to Broadway with Someone Like You , Love You Still (Sunset Version) (original song) and Rise Up (A Cappella version). Thank you!

Morissette Amon is the winning horse, the winning lottery ticket, the largest diamond in the world and the highest peak in the world, combined. What it touches becomes, 100% pure gold. I'm not just talking about his voice, but about the whole package. She is full optional. 👸🧎

Has anyone mistaken you for Usher? Jessie J invited 18 year old Morissette to her concert in the Philippines a few years back and they sang together. There's a video of it somewhere on yt. How about checking out another side of mori. Yes There's more side of mori you ain't seen yet i dont think. If you havent reacted to it, its the JLO medley with choreo at the Wish Olympics where she displays her stamina, danceabilities and vocal control. Thanks for the mori love and support.

Amen. That's why it's so disappointing seeing artist like Angelina Jordan staying in one style(jazz) while Mori is so multi-genre.

Grant! Mori and Katrina are so awesome. Do check out Katrina Velarde’s cover of Beyoncé’s Listen she sings in Spanish OYE. Katrina’s skill here is unbelievable. Runs, breath control, sustains, crazy high register belts.

    Absolute fire.
Also check out her cover of I Surrender she duets with Jessica Villarubin (the studio cover with 3.2 million views best to start).

I don’t really agree that an artist to move between genres has to completely change his style: r&b style or country style or rock style or...
You miss the concept of contamination between genres so I would remember you Ray Charles' classic album "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music": a full contamination between r&b and country
