I love seeing the mentality transformation you guys went thru on this video. From some desperation to total enjoyment. That's how Mexico is. A piece of advice to everyone: Don't ever compare how things are in the US to other countries when you travel. Embrace the culture and the differences. If you take out that comparison mentality you will have a blast!
I have seen many, many TH-cam videos on travel through Mexico and this is the first one that has made me actually want to go. All of the beauty and waterfalls and mountains and beaches have never made me have any desire to go.... But this one got my attention. Thank you.
This was a great video and very interesting to know the history of this town. I can’t remember how it’s spelled. Very beautiful there. Food looks great too. Glad you had fun there. Thank you for the video. Stay safe and travel safe.
So glad you guys got to see Guanajuato. I lived just outside the city for about 6 months and absolutely loved my time there. If you ever do come back, be sure it hit up San Miguel de Allende as well. Also very beautiful, and very popular with expats.
Thank you! Yes we were contemplating going to San Miguel de Allende but time didn't allow I've heard it's beautiful. That's so cool you lived near here. What a great place! - Liz
Hard to imagine where to park in Guanajuato but yes it’s so colorful and beautiful there especially with most of the traffic underground in the tunnels.
What a great location! Loving every bit of it. Our favorite part was the last restaurant and the shopping. Yves preferred the Restaurant while I preferred the shopping. The coffee and chocolat were close seconds.
Guys....Thanks. Nice video, nice images, loved the country side and views. I cannot see myself traveling in Mexico in a 45' Allegro Bus. Thanks to you guys I don't have to go. Boy do you have a surprise when you get back to the states.. Good luck and thank you again. PS> Where we going next when we get back from Mexico?
Haha yes I couldn't imagine it either but maybe try it in something smaller. Glad you enjoyed! Not sure where our next stop is. With all that's going on we don't know where we'll be in one month haha. - Liz
Beautiful video. I just wanted to contribute that only non-Spanish speaking people add an E to TAMALE. The correct spelling and pronunciation in singular is TAMAL (tah-MAL), and its plural spelling and pronunciation is TAMALES (tha-MAH-less) You've got another subscriber.
Words in different languages are pronounced different. Tamal is a pronunciation from Spaniards the real word that we should pronounce would be tamalli which is the Nahuatl original word. So tomate = tomatl, chile= chilli , tortilla=tlaxcalli. So saying tamale isn't a mispronounced word is just how it sounds for English speakers.
Hey guys, when you are enjoying a meal, always let us know what you paid. That is super interesting for those wanting to follow your steps. Great video! Thx
Yes great idea. Although this was a food tour so we didn't pay for each meal as it was included in the tour price. But, we'll definitely try and share that in the future. Food here is extremely cheap! Tacos are around $15 - $20 pesos each. Tamales like the one in this video are around $20 pesos. Meals Ina restaurant run around $80 - $150 pesos per plate more if it's touristy or a nice restaurant.
Have you considered visiting Taxco, Guerrero? It's similar with hills, narrow stone streets, silver caves, colonial architecture, only difference Taxco surpassed the Pueblo Mágico to Ciudad Luz category and all the buildings there are white with a brick red line at the bottom. Plenty of silver there, too.
Love all your videos, we pull a 30' camper and love traveling when we can. How has the Coronavirus affected you in Mexico, are you still there or have you guys came back for now? Hope you guys are well, please be safe!!
My biggest fear is going through tunnels, I always google earth roads before I go and check tunnels, have a trip I’m 101 Oregon coast that the sides have a low clearance I’ve watched a video on google see a fifth wheeler going through wish me luck.
We didn't feel 100% comfortable with taking the fifth wheel we had down the 101 either. We opted to go inland and visit the Willamette Valley 🍷 instead. But, I've heard plenty of stories about bigger rigs making it just fine! Take it slow and easy and I'm sure you'll be alright. - Dennis ✌️
Holy cow, guys! We have a mobile paint guy back in Bradenton if you headed back that way soon. I bet he can fix that for about $200. We have some experience in the RV hitting stuff department. 😳 Very cool location!
Hey Tom we're stoked you're enjoying our Mexico travel videos! There are reverse osmosis purified water bottling shops on every corner like 711's. You can buy 5 gallons of purified water to refill a personal jug called a garrafon for 17 pesos, that's only $00.74 cents US. Berkeys are really nice and we used one in Florida to filter the nasty out of the tap water we were drinking! But, totally unnecessary in Mexico. - Dennis ✌️
