I feel so bad for her daughter :(. Crying and later in shock at the scores. Poor girl...truly invested in her mama's experiences. Fortunately, a teachable opportunity for the girl..not many teens get to see their mother do what Candace has done.
I think she is doing an amazing job..For a mother of 3 who doesn't have any dance experience..She is respectful in her outfits and in her Faith...I love you Candace so keep up the Faith and God will reward you for that..She is also one of the only stars I know that is open and honest about her Faith and not afraid or ashamed of it
In my opinion, Mark should have done something contemporary for this freestyle. Candace has done so well in her contemporary dances, those were her best!
I think it's really unfair to say Candace doesn't deserve to be in the Finals. Anyone who goes out there on that dance floor and gives it their all deserves to be there. The voting is part of the show. Deal with it. Is she the best dancer? No. Does she have the best rhythm? No. But for someone with absolutely no history of dance or sports, I think she's doing a fine job. Also, attacking someone for their religious beliefs is low. It is as much her right as it is yours.
I will say that people seemed surprise that she has moved to the final three but you have to remember she has a huge fan base so many people grew up watching her on t.v, and she also has the sympathy vote because she is not an athlete like the other remaining two and she did not have any dance experience unlike James and of course and Meryl. My opinion is that Meryl will win this, but the real winner in reality should be Amy for overcoming her handicap as is if she didn't even have one. That is a real accomplishment She is a true champion.
Candace is an amazing dancer! These haters that are leaving negative comments , they're just jealous of her because they can't dance and they have no dance experience and for Candace to do it and pull it off , she looks like a professional dAncer . This is absolutely not personal. I really like Candace Cameron. She's beautiful, poised, classy and for a beginning dancer, she really progressed quite nicely. But she was clearly out of her league in this finale. Mark Ballas typically choreographs some truly unique showstoppers in the final stretch. This was not one of them. It was painful to watch, awkward and very disjointed. The music...the costumes...ugh! Congrats to her though on making it as far as she did.
Agreed. This was a disjointed mess. She would have done well with a contemporary freestyle, but Mark had done two other contemporary routines for her throughout the season, so he probably wanted to do a fast and furious freestyle, like he's done well with other partners so many times. But she was out of her league with this routine, and it showed. IMO, the 8's were fair.
Gina M Yeah I thought the DJ Tanner bit was cute but other than that, this didn't fit her style at all. Mark's injury surely didn't help her confidence going into this dance, she even felt like it was her fault when it was just an accident ☹️

Actually he's doing her a favor by putting so many lifts in their routines. Her feet don't touch the floor as much. That way he distracts us from her lack of dancing ability. It's a good strategy.

Honestly, I can't stand Marks choreographing, if Derek had her as a partner or someone else she could do better. It's obvious she does better in the slower and more lyrical performances and her should realize that with his choreographing.
Rebecca Pant She has already done two or three lyrical routines, if she would have done another one then people would say that she can only dance lyrical dances and thats to predictable. And yes Derek is a great choreographer but an outstanding choreography can learn to overlook props to make the performance look better, and for having an injury and being in a sling Mark did a great job partner and he cared for her to the best of his ability
Danica, Charlie and James were robbed. This was a pathetic performance for the Finals. It looked like more of a Week 1 performance. My guess is that Mark knew she couldn't keep up so he spun her how many times??
This was one of two misfires that Mark Ballas had with freestyles. The other was with Bristol Palin. I think maybe contemporary might have been a better choice for Candace. I don't know what I would have suggested for Bristol. Carrie Ann was right here--she didn't really connect to the music, and something seemed to be off.
