The reason why there seems to be no connection with CMB to Pathcode is because the Pathcode is still not complete. I love Call Me Baby and the mv; it was my first comeback as an EXO-L (I became a fan around before Pathcode started). But it also makes me insanely sad/angry to watch, cause not only was it Tao's last comeback with EXO, but it was a part of the reason he left. He had a severe leg/ankle/foot injury (like... if you ever see photos... it's painful just to look at) & he was supposed to be on bed rest apparently, but SM demanded he take part in Pathcode (which he had to travel internationally to film) and he was not allowed to sit out filming the music video which is completely dancing!~ He was also required to do a live performance, and he says he was not allowed to refuse. It got to the point that his father begged him to leave, cause the company clearly didn't care if he was permanently injured... On a brighter note, during comeback preparations, Jongdae apparently started staying even later than Jongin to practice his dancing until he was receiving compliments for the members and the choreographers/dance teachers; so this era marks the time Jongdae made a great effort to improve his dancing & it shows^.^~ Plus, poodle!Dae (as we called it) was the cutest, and I wanna fight everyone that says otherwise!!! Fun fact: Minseok's little ponytail/apple bun was/is the favorite hairstyle of EXO-M, especially Luhan and Minseok(Kris and Tao also us it or ponytails often); it's the superior hairstyle!~~~

Last MV with Tao :( (if you were wondering) SM has always treated the chinese members unfairly but this era is what pushed Tao to leave. Tao injured his ankle during Call Me Baby, but SM forced him to continue performing in music shows and concerts, which caused his injury to worsen and worsen. It got to the point here he had to move around via wheelchair and Tao was obviously not happy about SM not letting his ankle heal. In the end it was Tao's father's letter asking him to leave for the sake of his health which caused Tao to finally file the lawsuit. (which he lost bc SM is a bitch) I miss him dearly but he is now a very successful actor and singer in China so i am glad ❤️

It got to the point that his father begged him to leave, cause the company clearly didn't care if he was permanently injured...
On a brighter note, during comeback preparations, Jongdae apparently started staying even later than Jongin to practice his dancing until he was receiving compliments for the members and the choreographers/dance teachers; so this era marks the time Jongdae made a great effort to improve his dancing & it shows^.^~ Plus, poodle!Dae (as we called it) was the cutest, and I wanna fight everyone that says otherwise!!!
Fun fact: Minseok's little ponytail/apple bun was/is the favorite hairstyle of EXO-M, especially Luhan and Minseok(Kris and Tao also us it or ponytails often); it's the superior hairstyle!~~~

(if you were wondering) SM has always treated the chinese members unfairly but this era is what pushed Tao to leave. Tao injured his ankle during Call Me Baby, but SM forced him to continue performing in music shows and concerts, which caused his injury to worsen and worsen. It got to the point here he had to move around via wheelchair and Tao was obviously not happy about SM not letting his ankle heal. In the end it was Tao's father's letter asking him to leave for the sake of his health which caused Tao to finally file the lawsuit. (which he lost bc SM is a bitch)

They used to actually practice for 3 performances.
When they promote separately exo-K would have to perform as 6 and exo-M would also perform as 6 in China. But when they promote together they would perform as 12 regardless of version. So all of them had to also memorize Chinese version. They would ask the Chinese members to correct their pronunciation. You can watch their "coaching" time on EXO Showtime.
