Tico-Tico no Fubá is the title of a renowned Brazilian choro music piece composed by Zequinha de Abreu in 1917. Tico-Tico no Fubá was recorded and made popular internationally by Carmen Miranda (who performed it onscreen in Copacabana (1947)) and Ray Conniff.
As a Brazillian and a beginner flautist I'm doubly impressed! A very hard piece of music played masterfully. Already loved your work from watching Bachianas Brasileiras Nº5, but this.... this an entirely new level of awesome!
Now I have finished music school for flute, and I'm going to Music High School in Varaždin in Croatia, and I'm hoping, that some day, I will become awesome as you are, I wish to sent you a video, but don't know how :D
I play flute and I like your performance very much, and you are my idol, but I'm 11 years only and I'm too little to play like this Tico Tico, and I would be very thankful if you read this comment
The song is "Tico-tico no Fubá", not tico tico. Unfortunately, in 99% of the material outside Brazil they strangely cut the second half of the name of the song, making it pointless in the perspective of a native. To illustrate, lets pick "Stairway to Heavens" and rename it "Stairway". How do you fell as a native English speaker? Anyway, of course I gave a BIG thumbs up for these two brilliant artists. Well done!!

Very beaudiful and graceful. Both players are excellent.
Tico Tico is a bird, the flute 'speaks' as if it was the bird itself
Fantastico il vestito della flautista
Fantastic variations and tempo changes; really couldn't stop listening even though we've heard this tune countless times before :-)

Formidável.
Is there any place where I can find the sheets for flute? This is amazing.
@Heather5686 There is no real music for this one. We got the melody of the song (which you can find it anywhere), and just played around a bit.. :)
