    I imagine the batteries will slowly improve with all motorbikes. escooters etc
    One thing that led me to the TC design was the room/capacity for a removable battery

    Very nice and cleanly made pack!
    I'm wondering how much capacity could one get by filling the whole body of the original battery. Or instead of 18650 use a "flat" cells.

    • @thecapacitator8137

      Thank you! If you used the original battery case it wouldn't fit as many cells. I'd look for prismatic or "flat" cells the same dimensions as original. Capacity would depend on what cells you can get.

      Hi man!
      Great job! I wonder if you can connect a similar or smaller battery pack without the part that register info about the battery time etc. Though it is necessary to know how much battery is left. The thing is, I bought one of these without the battery pack for a really good price. And so, how do you connect it with battery info or without? Do you have to use the original one or the original one modified as you or another one with less say 18 cells? Thanks!

    Nice, clean work, excelent ! Isn´t better use only £0,04 more expensive 21700 5000mAh LG50LT ? It would give 80 Ah. Or am I missing or misunderstanding something ? Max voltage for motor is 72V or battery configuration could be f.e. 80V ? Thx for reply and have a nice day !

    • @thecapacitator8137
      @thecapacitator8137  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks. I don't think 21700 would fit the enclosure. This pack only just fits.

    • @DeksZagreb
      @DeksZagreb 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You could use 2170 cells but you would have to position their parallel cells laterally instead od longitudinally because they are 21.3mm wide. The serial orientation would need to go up and down which would result in a 50mm taller battery pack. Such a battery pack with LG50LT cells could provide no more than 200 Amps peak from the 80Ah, so it is still limited if planning to use a more powerful controller.

    Hi Tim,
    I want to build the biggest energy battery pack that fits in the motorcycle´s battery pack compartment.
    We begin by battery pack´s height. I think that it could consists in six modules stacked (six modules * 65 mm per module = 390 mm). I imagine that we would have to remothe the storage tray. Do you think that this is posible?

    Six modules * 80 cells per module = 480 cells (3,6 V * 3,5 Ah = 12,6 Wh)
    480 cells * 12,6 Wh per cell = 6,048 kWh
    Thanks in advance

    Hello, got an question for you, with that BMS you purchased from that aliexpress link, you dont need anything more to connect with the battery? my supersoco battery bms just gone and i wanted get an replacement and this is the closest thing i like to get since the battery have less of 50 cycles. so you only needed the bms in the link, just make an proper connnection in the battery leads and the canbus connection and that should work?

    hello
    Very nice work , i'm considering buying a TC max and upgrade it to commute at work .
    I have a question regarding charge with the antBms .
    At which rate are you able to charge it ? have you tried to charge at high amps ( 20a + ) ?
    if yes , how long does it takes to fully load it ?
    I think that this aspect of battery upgrade is way more interesting than just upgrading a bit range .
    i've read that standard Soco BMS limit charge to around 12a .
    Thanks for your very useful videos 😊
    cheers

    Do super soco ebike series, specifically supersoco cu -x 60v 30ah series have a prorietary communication protocol in between bms and controller? bosch motor integrated shimano e-bike setups have an encryption feature which you can not initiate controller unless it's the original battery.

    • @thecapacitator8137

      I think they use can bus. The TC Max definitely does.

    • @asencyel
      @asencyel 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thecapacitator8137 what i meant was if there was a bms verification involved with these supersoco units on not. as it is the case with shimano step motor-controller setups. whenever you start the controller it communicates with the bms and decide to run the motor or not.
      did you use the original bms of the supersoco max or a generic one? if it is a generic bms than there is no probem at all and supersoco bikes carry multiple cheap self made batteries all at once.

I don't have to charge anymore at my usual destinations which are mostly 60-70km round trips. Last time I did a 70km round trip the battery had 30% capacity remaining. Also remember the standard battery doesn't allow use of all of it's capacity. The standard charger only charges to 83V. I can charge to 84V. Which doesn't sound much but actually makes a considerable difference. So I'd guess I'm probably getting at least 30% extra range than standard in total.
