If you want a 5-star combat rating you need to spend some time in the middle of the facility killing a handful of spawns. From the video - before the first rune challenge make sure you go down to the ground floor where you will find at least 3-4 spawns in various places. If you remember the level from before it blew it, you can use the cylindrical building as reference, find the various catwalks and such and you should find enough enemies to get a 5 rating. Once you've cleared out the ground floor, continue on with getting the Rune and whatnot and you should be fine. This is not a very linear level when it comes to a 5-star rating. My apologies if people have already said this, I didn't see it in any readily visible comments.
Yeah, just backtrack to the parts of the map where the normal Argent Facility level took place and you'll fine more than enough spawns to get 5-star. I just finished the level but before I entered the Tram I saw I didn't have 5 stars and decided to try backtracking. Turns out there's plenty more spawns to get the combat rating so I'm glad i decided to backtrack

The game betrayed me! I saw the three Hellraises and another Hellknight on the ground level, after I beserked the first Hellknight, so I decided to jump over the cliff to kill myself and load the checkpoint in order to berserk them all. But instead, the Hellknight and Hellraisers never respawned!!! So I only got 4,9 instead of 5 combat rating. Boooooohhhh for such bugs six years after release of the game!
FYI. You'll note when attacking the mechanical sections of a mancubus and the frontal sections of a pinky there's a blue flash where your rounds make impact. This denotes an "armored" section. Going to the trouble of avoiding it, for example attacking a pinky from behind, DRAMATICALLY reduces the time and ammo required to down them.
I'm too Young to Die: Stand in front of two cacodemons, three revenants, some imps and a zombie soldier, all shooting at you at once. Health slowly trickles down 3 at a time. Nightmare Mode: 2 zombie hits, and dead.
Pro tip: pinkies are only armored in front. Let it run at you, move out of the way right before it rams you, and hit the exposed back with the super shotgun. One shot kill every time.

SO that 1 Health shotty rune trial i actually made 100% sure that I went into the trial with my grenade launcher equipped and it forced me to use the triple shot, apparently you don't have a choice.
I don’t know but I found it on my first playthrough. You just have to check your map. It will tell you exactly where everything is. Except those pesky levers…

First off I will start with "Maka91" is by FAR! the best walkthrough guide I have found anywhere!!!! myself personally will beat a game and go back every now and then do a thorough sweep through after completion , or if a part that has snagged me for a while in play. I Rarely play online (multiplayer) and rarely ever ever post anything on any site. Trust me people please because if you need help and you are a gamer of Idc what level of experience you are from just picking up a controller to an elite gamer. (we all get tripped up or lost sometimes) this = IS YOUR 911 CALL FOR HELP on a game!. its not to fast or to slow it is to the POINT and his gameplay along with amazing step by step dialogue is best. To be totally honest it has made me a better Gamer over all. To add I DO Not know this individual that creates these videos but if you get stuck even for a moment its like a gamers 911. Thanks to whoever is this with these videos I hope you keep making them maka!!!! +
Anyone else find these rune trials a little maddening?? I feel like I spend half my time trying to complete them and each one takes 30 tries. The rest of the game is manageable but I hate the rune trials man lol....
Dont want to brag about it and maybe its just because Im playing in the least difficulty level but the most tries I had was on the zombie killing with barrels, had to play it 3 times to finish it... Hope this keeps up til the end of the game, wish you luck ah.

For all that might not know. You should just finish the game on your own the first time through. Then from there, you can select what ever mission your want to replay to finish up all collectibles. It doesn't have to be in one "playthrough" :P fyi

Mission 7 is a lot easier than Mission 6, though I still wouldn't call it "easy" per say, but the wave of enemies is more manageable. Also, that first rune trail, I died on my first attempt. That first jump is misleading. Haha! Thanks again for these videos. It's been fun to follow them while playing this on my Switch.
At 14:08 when you say you're running out of ammo and the only option is to go get the gauss cannon... Just wanted to point out that on the bottom floor (where you initially came in; after pinkies and before taking the cannon up) if you go to the back left corner, there's one of those ammo "stash boxes".
I have to backtrack to that lever and for the FUCKING life of me I can NOT figure out how the fuck to get all the way back. Been at it for 3 and a half hours now still running the fuck around trying to find my way back to the beginning

Shit i missed the secret classic doom room! It was a pain in the ass to get back to the very beggining since it's supposed to be a point of no return, but i've managed to hump on a slope on top of a big ass reactor and make my way back. True feeling of acomplishment after doing it tho lol
I'm tired of gamers telling me the Rune Trials are "ez-peezy"! Have not gotten one, yet. Aiming difficulties? With timed trials, I felt clock was too quick. got out a stopwatch. They are cheating me out of 1 second! Am I a nut? Should I trust computer program? Software glitch? All the timer trials end in failure. I"m not that bad a shooter or mover. How can I fail at every single one, and not even get close to finishing? I gave up after 20 tries. Any knowledge out there?
You don't just drop down to reach that hidden ledge to access the elite soldier. You 1. Aim the gun target at the pipe. 2. Turn with you back to said pipe. 3. back off the ledge in a straight line. and 4. What this guy does not tell you is push your movement stick forward soon as you begin to fall. When you do this you are swept into the ledge. Failure to push the movement stick forward in a fall will cause you to pass it and keep falling to your death! This guy is great he just forgot that one vital piece of information... Thanks your dudeship!
without doing all that: 16:18 Just jump on the floating thing at the entrance which gives u upgrades press e on that guy then u will glitch onto it and it will take u there

Somebody on steam said first jump from the ground. And it worked the first time. Unbelieveable it was that simple. In-Flight Mobility Rune is a breeze now.
I had this awesome glitch when the drone was flying away I somehow got to it and it flew off and I was teleported to where it landed and got an upgrade
Do what I do --I hunt down everything and don't leave until decimation; killing fields and DOOM's the farmer - plow through everything. Nice vid too BTW.
I found that in the second rune trial that the enemies would go into their staggered state for about half a second before reverting back to normal. They shouldn’t be doing that
Bruh every time I try to get the Skeet Shoot challenge, some Kakademon will show up and beat the living tar out of me, while Imps reign down fireballs constantly. And even if I deal with them, if I kill the target in the air, it doesn’t count for some reason and I have to restart from the checkpoint for a second try!
First of all want to say Maka you are a true Doom Slayer. I am new to Doom so bare with me for this question. I’m playing and at about 8:30 into your video, the first time you encounter the Pinky’s. The problem is the previous battles in this level I didn’t realize there was a berserk power up so I’m super low on ammo. So every time I go into that room I quickly run out of ammo and I get destroyed in the battle, die, loads to checkpoint and it starts all over again, low ammo and that Pinky battle, die - repeat. Should I just restart the entire mission play it smarter use the power up preserve ammo or....walk around in other areas looking for ammo? Anyone any advice would be great. Also agree with the comment of the rune trials, I feel the switch console controls are just making it them that much more difficult. Thanks
At 10.30 into the video when u pull out the chip from the dead guy drop down. There is a weapons box that fills u up it’s just under the stairs in the corner before the big fight up top. I just can’t through this bit at all. I run about picking up as much health as I can before the fight but DAM! 😀
I gave up on the game. I started on hard it was frustrating asf. Then i went to easy and on this mission none of the villains would die. Took all my ammo, so i said screw it and quit.

it all worked fine for me, but the game has been updated/patched since release so, they probably fixed it.

Use double jumps, then it's super easy. You don't even have to look at it to glory kill them, just make sure you are in the air somewhere above them.

You move faster of you are using only one key at a time. Using W and A or B will slow you down but just using W will not. That's but all I got.
Don't feel bad. I got the very first one but I have failed all the others and gave up up on them. Always close but no cigar.
