So it came out 1994 I was 19 years old I had just graduated from high school the year before and working at a grocery store and had purchased a bottle that year before back in '93 such a great scent...😁💯🔥
I did a head to head blind test with a group of 8 women in their 20s & 30s. CK One Shock vs PDM Herod. 7 of them preferred Shock. Wasn’t even close!

CK One Shock is a great scent that had poor marketing/packaging. Younger people that liked the packaging were put off by the more ‘grown up’ scent and older people who would have liked the scent profile were put off by the packaging. 😅
If this stuff was called “CK One Night” or similar and had some more gentlemanly marketing I think it would have sold a lot better...

I just found this at my local Ross!! Picked it up while listening to the review, and just tried it out. Love it!
Funny, I hit myself with a couple of sprays of CK One Shock rhis evening just for the heck of it, then opened TH-cam later and see the notification for this video. I love this scent for fall and winter and sometimes will wear it before going to bed any time of year.
Got this for my dad at christmas, he's worn ck be religiously for years and I wanted to get him onto something a little more heavy, he loves it!

shock, quess blue and noir are great.
Just finished a 200ml bottle and will definitely replace.

I blind bought a 50ml of this based on a review and after getting it in the mail and smelling it I purchased a 200ml right away, it's better than I expected for sure, just purchased a Lucasfragrancelabs ISO E Super that's scented with Frankincense and Myrrh (to layer with my reformulated ADG Profumo grrrr) and looking forward to doing the same with my Shock 🤞

Just bought it. What people don't say, though it has these chocolate and patchouli scents, it still, in the end, ends up smelling like the original CK one, which I kind of liked. I don t know what the scent is that is in both..but that young, 1990s unique scent slowly emerges.

I think this smells almost exactly like Xerjoff Naxos - I'm surprised you don't mention that. I have both and I wear CK One Shock now to conserve the naxos (which really is just a lot stronger and lasts forever but the smell, to me, is almost identical). And the difference in price - well I might not buy Naxos ever again because it is still dirt cheap to keep re-spraying this every couple hours if I really need the longevity - i will just decant it into a small spray bottle (which I have many of for this purpose) and take it with me on dates or other events and reapply discreetly as needed
I just bought a bottle of this about a month or so ago from a rackstore because I like many others heard so much about it when i started my fragrance journey but for some reason never got to smell it. I have really found that i love sweeter tobacco/ oriental fragrances. As soon as i got home and smelled it i noticed at least to my nose it smelled strikingly similar to the opening of my PDM Carlisle that i had bought earlier this year. I was a little upset/shocked i had spent 300+ on a fragrance that i had never smelled anything and i thought it was super interesting and unique and then come to find out theres a shockingly similar fragrance for less than 20 bucks. But i will still reach for carlisle because it honestly is different enough and the quality and performance for me are much better as one would hope for the price

I’ve had a 200ml bottle of Shock sitting in back shelf of the collection I bought like 4 years ago, and just recently sprayed it on again and I definitely like it a lot more now than back when I bought it lol looking forward to wearing it a lot more this fall/winter

The presentation of the bottle may not be all that appealing but I do love the scent So that's keep me from Being discouraged over the whole look of it reminds me of Halloween with Glowy green Paint ! 😊

I actually do keep all my boxes and ESPECIALLY for CK fragrances because they have a regular cap as well as the spray - if you travel with it, you have to remove the spray top with the tube and use the cap so that it won't spray while you're traveling, then you have to switch out the atomizer - the best way I've found to travel like this is with the box to protect the bottle but also or mainly to keep the cap/atomizer with the bottle.

It's a great fragrance, but unfortunately in Texas, where I am from, there are only a few months where I can wear it. So I have a small AEROSOL bottle/can that I bust out for the Christmas holidays, because it smells like Christmas.

Just bought this one. Love it but hate the atomizer.
Got lucky today my dude, found a 100ml bottle of ck one shock at Marshalls for 15 bucks, I will say to me it has a very similar vibe to Cremo spice and black vanilla which I also have, just a little less sweet, not bad fragrance to be similar to for sure though

I found many coincidences here in the comments when this review popped up. Me too! I heard CK one Shock was similar to Burberry London which I really love but still a bit expensive for me to get. But then I found some bad reviews on the online shops that made me decided to go back to Burberry London yesterday and planned to save more money to get BL. But now this video shows up. Is that a sign for me to get CK one Shock instead? 😅
I have both and they are similar. London seems a bit stronger and higher quality to me. But Shock is probably better for casual use. They both have a nice, warm holiday vibe about them.
The one you never reviewed, Ash, which competes with CK One Shock, was even cheaper, and imho was even better: Zara Warm Black. Scores in Fragrantica and Parfumo kind of agree with me here.

CK One Shock is the type of fragrance brands like Xerjoff, PDM, Roja copy, boost the longevity and projection a bit and charge $400 for it.. This is such a great scent.

I bought this at TJ MAXX it smelled like an old lady on my skin :(( my gf didn’t like it at all. I figured I’d love it based upon all the reviews and notes but didn’t work for me sadly

Ck1 shock cologne has a similar fragrance as Angel Mugler Cologne.
This has got to be the best deal in fragrances. The dry down smells very similar to Layton Exclusif with Layton E being a bit stronger.

I bought CK one cuz it was cheap and a fresh scent I mean I'm from the 80's granted CK one isn't all that bad for its purpose and it's kinda what got me into colognes since back in my hay day I couldn't afford the aqua di gio. Also azzaro chrome was dirt cheap in my past you get two bottles for the price of one
