Man... I saw Daniel Mann video about this... and I really admire your big heart to give someone else take the shot... even with all the time for searching the location, and even when you are the first one saw the fish... you still gave it to someone else... just stay healthy and safe. You have a great skill and a hard worker person, so I believe one day you will get your dream fish...
Dear Tim, in the books its Hal's records, in our hearts it's yours! I am not at that level of maturity that you are at, and probably would never be. Keep doing you man, the world needs more angels.
Awesome story...Daniel cant stress enough about the amount of effort you go through into sounding for new grounds...ur a hero spearo in my books amd hope to see more footage from you. Hope Dan dives with you soon.
Watched Daniels version of this fantastic day out on the water glad you shared your video aswell , full respect Tim , a true inspiration on how you guys work together to land some of the best fish in Australia along with supporting each other and show the young guys how it’s done 😉
Congratulations, one of the best vidéo, spot, actions i ve ever Seen. Exactly the spirit i m searching with spearfishing. I practice the same way in mediterranean sea, even if with less fish. Bravo 👏
At 9:00, "I came down towards the bottom and noticed a really big Job fish." Other men may have rather noticed the large shark behind it. Tim is hilarious.
Dear tim I am writing you this because I am a huge fan. I will love to die with you 1 day you inspire me a lot and if wasn't for you and Daniel man. I would have never learn how to dive. I watch each and every one of you guys video. You guys really inspire me. I would love to die with you guys 1 day. 🎉❤❤
Hi Tim! Awesome video and just pure joy and fun learning and seeing the passion you have in spesefishing! Do you mind showing us and teaching us the reasons why u have a very short (3-4 Inch) of dyneema line connected to your spearshaft to a monoline than back to dyneema reel. Much appreciated and stay safe Tim!
Have been waiting for this video!, saved up and bought all my spearfishing gear, i've moved to brisbane for university and am trying to save up for a car and boat so i can go for a dive!
insane Tim, which part of Australia is this? i am from Spain but i have been couple of years living in Avalon beach, east Australia and ii used to spearfishing alone. i really would like to travel again there for a Spearfishing trip. congratulations for your catches you are amazing
I see this from dann vid.. Dymmm.. I really hope that you are the one who reel the fish in.. But still respect to you sir.. I dont know if i could do the same😅
Hey Tim, just 1 question, how do you hold your breath so long and be able to equalize at such depths? I find I can't go passed 10mtrs cause my head wants to explode. No matter how hard I try to swallow and equalize I just spent happen. Pls help
@@Spearfishing-Downunder thanks for your reply mate. Yea I just simply swallow for the first few metres that seems to work. But after equalizing 3-4 times that's it I can't do it anymore therefore I run out of breath. Do you mind sharing how you equalize? Thanks again for your reply
Might have to learn frenzel technique mate. I'm learning it atm because I can only currently do valsalva. I find I can't EQ past 11m using valsalva, this is due to the pressure reducing the volume of air in your lungs. I find equalising more often helps though. My last dive to 9.5m, I equalised pretty much every kick. So maybe 10 or more times in that dive! Hope that helps!
When diving I equalize at 50feet first, Then at a 100 maybe a second time, the best way for me without loosing breath is to squeeze your nostrils and blow really hard, then you feel your ears pop. But it takes a couple dives to get it right.
Tim McDonald just put the footage up mate mate with some music over it we just love watching use do it. for a lot of we can’t get to the depth your going so this give use a look at what you see down there. Love the video mate 👍

You'll get a bigger one and balance of the universe will be restored;). If not, you have enough great karma to last you plenty of life times. Well done man:)
