Xavier's win is so strange, but interesting and complex at the same time. He's a solid all arounder who's opposition and allies built him up, but ended up taking each other in the process, or let their own vices/ego's self implode. Xavier is a good player, but definitely did benefit from circumstances out of his control. I think it’s more impressive when winners don’t have a lot go their way like bb14 or bb19.
How do you figure? The BB community called X wins as a while by week 3... And everybody by F11 knew if X made F2 he would win and he still won... That is the hardest thing to do and mist impressive and hardest thing to do... When EVERYBODY knows if you make F2 you when... It took hannah until F7 to want X out first... AT F7 he had 4 ppl wanting him to go to F3., by F6 he had 3 players wanting him F3 two of which wanted him F2 and ultimately all 3 wanted him F2... If Xavier wasnt a black make he would have been looked at as a God for that fact... Xavier won this game due to Tiffany's horrible social game inside the CO... People will push the narrative that tiffany was this great social player and treat player over all but she really wasnt and she lost this game the second she lost Azah pre jurry... X was focused on Alyssa who he wanted to make F7 so she would do what he wanted if she won it F7 and made sure he had ppl inside the 6 to take out ky or tiff at 6... While Tiffany was focused on Dx who everyone wanted out ASAP and had no chance to make it far and claire who was completely uses in the game... That is hirrible game play... For someone who is considered a great stratagust she should have planed ahead instead if waiting for F7 after she showed ky she didnt have his back to convince ky he needs you work with them and take her an hannah to F3.... most ppl will lie to get likes on social media by saying tiffany is great but anyone with a brain will say she made too many mistakes to be pushed as this great player... X played flawlessly
@@jrkoka2617 that's because he was a genius... He was smart enough to know as long as everything went the way the CO wanted(which it did) the real game didnt start until F6... So while Tiffany was doing the most ruining her relationship within the 6 to try and save Christian, DX, and Claire... X was making sure Azah and DF would always be votes for him over tiff and ky his only real competition in the house... and when tiff fucked up with ky his relationship with ky and the respect x gaind with everyone in the house let ky feel comfortable teaming with X over tiff... It's not cool and wont get you likes and followers on social media to admit tiffany was a terrible BB player... They'll say she would have won if she played for herself but will ignore the fact that not a single woman an hoh until the second week in jury and it was ky and X that both got rid of men to allow Tiffany to have so many allies once they got to jury... They'll say tiffany protected x from claire and dx when they wanted to go after x... But they wont say dx and claire never wanted to go after x and was thinking about working with him over ky and it was tiff who told them they need to go after x because nobody wanted him out when she flipped on the CO then woke up the next morning and changed her mind so all the protection she was doing was damage control.
I definitely think Xavier deserved the win yes tiff was the mastermind behind the cookout but X took advantage of it. They had chances to get rid of him but they fumbled. X had a great social game and made strategic moves that benefited him. He used the cookout to benefit his own game and honestly I'd do the same. Yes they had a great goal as a group but I felt like a lot if them played for the group and end goal instead of their own game while X played more for himself I nstead of the group.
Xavier is literally just the evolution of winners. We all love people like Dan or Will, but as seen the past few seasons most of the time that play style will make you lose to the jury in the games current state. I truly believe we will see more of this passive playstyle from future winners.
So, from what I heard from this video, it would seem to me that it was less that Xavier won and more so than the others lost. Not saying Xavier wasn't a great player. He was an elite player, but everyone else had multiple chances and when they considered the option, it was too late. Bad move.
Even though I was disspointed with who made the final 3 I can't deny that Xavier was pretty much 100% ensured that he was winning by the final 4. Not a lot of that and his journey to the final 4 was his own doing though lol
@@mmdd1996 I think Derek F is the only one you can credit Xavier with actively convincing to take him to final 2. Kyland had this huge ego that decided for himself that he was gonna take Xavier. Azah was actually taking Derek F until the very last second since the dude can't shut his mouth.

Besides Tiff/Hannah was banking on Ky taking out X leaving them in the best position to take out Ky.
Believe it or not, a lot of people, even in the current BB subreddit are saying X is like one of the best winners and he was the best player of the season. I disagree. Xavier's game is the kind of game I and probably many other fans would see themselves playing after they watched a few seasons and have only a surface-level understanding of the strategy of the game: 1.) Lay Low in the beginning. 2.) Don't play too hard 3.) Throw comps and win when you need to only 4.) Sit in your alliance. But, a lot of people I think, don't realize that while this game works in theory, that without a solid layer of protection of an alliance like the Cookout or the backing of a great strategic player, there are a lot of holes and missing components to playing a winning game that this blueprint doesn't satisfy.
@@85gmb1 I'm not saying that his game isn't winnable, it's a fine game, but "the glue" was moreso social ramifications behind the mission and less of him keeping it together.

I think Xavier realized that A, he was protected by the cookout which all but ensured he’d have the votes regardless. And B, he could pretty much win any competition So he didn’t do a whole lot of the work in the early game because he didn’t need to. And when the game started reaching the end game he focused on securing his spot within the cookout whereas Tiffany was too focused on relationships outside of it. While it is fair to say the cookout helped him quite a bit, I don’t know if it’s fair to assume his game would have been the same without the cookout. I think he would have played differently had he not been so well protected
Turning the game into "big brother race wars" and targeting other minorities isn't the great accomplishment you think it is. You think the cookout is "woke" when they were the most closed minded people in the house.

He benefited from the teams twist cuz he was essentially on the ~strongest team, and he was protected by the cookout in the jury phase so he was always safe from ever going home. By the time he got to final six he was unstoppable, it was too late to get him out cuz he essentially won his way to the end. his only real competition would have been kyland but he's smart enough to get rid of him before the end. Tiffany didnt stand a chance because she killed her own game the minute she nominated Claire . In my opinion Xavier's game is not SPECTACULAR but he did just enough to nab himself the win. Its similar to Ty's game on BBCAN9. Still respectable
@@cammyr12Productions if Ky had chose to go to F3 with Tiffany and Hannah. Kyland could've backdoored him at F6. I'm only saying that to say he wasn't unstoppable at F6. At F5 Ky won veto. Agreed with this video. He was extremely lucky, and if he was on another season, he would have probably been taken out pre-jury, but the CO (more specifically Tiffany and Kyland) protected him. He was never really in trouble. Great video!
I think he makes it far in other seasons, as well. I don't think he wins, but he definitely makes it to jury. What we have to acknowledge is that X didn't go out of his way to make alliances with certain players b/c he didn't need to, and he didn't have to win competitions either. X could likely have developed many more relationships and won many more competitions. Like Hannah said in post-exit interviews, Xavier's presence alone draws you toward him. He's a top-tier social player.
Great video! This season was so exciting and interesting to watch. BB had gotten fairly stale or toxic over the last few years and I was so happy to see a new twist to the gameplay!! Everyone in the cookout was a pleasure to watch and the dynamic they created won't be forgotten anytime soon.
Honestly, Xavier is a good winner for the season and plays no part in why a big portion of people dislike the season. It’s literally just Ky and Derek F who ruined it, and just watching Derek F do nothing and get 75k is both funny… and probably the most infuriating thing on the planet.
X did play a big portion of why people dislike the season. He was the mediator keeping the cookout racist game play intact which benefited him the most.
@@alluresea8759 It’s not really racist when their purpose was really clear from the get go. @@RoyalKingOliver CBS made a positive change with the 50% BIPOC cast which was inevitable that there would be many minorities including black winners. Racism game play was so dishearteningly unnecessary. Cookout could included 2 non black in their alliance and still 100% achieved a black winner. And be proud they did not contributed to the racist game play trend. America would love it had Tiff not limited her game loyalty to skin color, she would win BB23, and DX win AFH.
@@alluresea8759 honestly I agree with you, but I prefer blaming the alliance itself and not the “racism” or loyalty around it. There were better ways to crowning a black winner (despite Tamar CLEARLY BEING FIRST) but this was literally forcing history to happen, and the quality of the season suffered because of it.
@@RoyalKingOliver Also, Tychon from BBcan9 won without the racist game play. It was Canada, but it has the same format as BBUS. What happen if future BB whites and other POC team up (not racism coz mixed culture alliance) to target blacks to avoid a cookout situation?
Funny how Xavier’s status as top dog was first instated because Tiffany was supporting him and people thought oh Tiffany can’t be that smart she must have a man behind her telling her the plays 😒 Unfortunately, she did not play a good social game with the cookout by the end.
I personally have some mixed feelings about the cookout alliance. I understand the motivation for a black bb winner considering bb’s past (season 14), but certain aspects of the cookout alliance along with some of the individual people I feel detracted from the ultimate goal. In particular, once a black bb winner was guaranteed everyone in the house started practicing colorism, beginning to eliminate the people they deemed “less black,” despite how they were already guaranteed a black winner. I feel like everyone in the cookout tainted what they had achieved, and instead should have just started playing a normal game once a winner was guaranteed. Secondly, some members of the cookout were just not very good players on their own, and without a strong built-in alliance would have certainly been evicted.
She played a bit of a rogue game after Sarah Beth left, and some of the other members like Derek F really didn’t like her. She was kind of doomed once she hit the Six.
The thing is she played for the cookout and I respect that she wanted to crown the first black winner more then anyone and she worked for what she believed in and I respect that.
She was a great player, but the sad truth is, her plan never was going to get her the win. She planned to have better competition around her at the final 6 and she kinda boasted about being the master mind, which made her an easy target once they got down to the 6. She masterminded the early game but had no real shot in the end game

Christian and Alyssa also wanted to target him after the teams twist ended. They changed their minds and wanted to go to final 5 with him but they still would have cut him at final 5. After Christian left alyssa still didn’t want to go to f2 with him, she wanted Hannah as her f2. Tiff and Hannah had the best social games, especially tiff in the house by far. X’s social game was non existent and he only survived because of the cookout. If he comes back and plays again he won’t last long.
@@chevon1920 Yea you had me until saying "Tiff and Hannah had the best social games", no, Hannah did not. Hannah's downfall was that her game relied heavily on Tiffany's social game. DX had no respect for Hannah's game until Tiffany told him to listen to Hannah. He even went to apologize to Hannah only after Tiff told him to. Outside of Clair, Tiff and DX she had nobody. X had more connections than her and a better social game. X had the best social game within the CO, and since the CO is the strongest alliance in the house it would be smart to make sure you have the most social credit in that alliance. X prioritized relationships within the CO which was the smartest move, Tiff didn't. The whole "he wouldn't survive w/o the cookout" is a lame argument b/c most of them would've been gone w/o the Cookout, including Hannah. The past 8 winners were in big alliances that saved them and allowed them not to work as hard, so I don't hold that against X. Your point is that "X's social game isn't that good b/c his alliance was protecting him when he was targeted" but that's literally the point of an alliance lmao
Kyle made the biggest mistake you can make in any reality show “I want to beat the best” if you send the biggest threat mid game you beat the best. He wasn’t fair, he just had too much of an ego
Fair rating, he was good and had potential sadly the seasons circumanstance hurt a lot of possibly more enjoyable events and outcomes. To me this season will always come down to what could have been.
Season 25 isn’t finished yet, as of writing it’s the final 5, but officially Cirie was also never picked for veto, and she only played in one (Pre-final 6) veto when she was nominated.
You know upong further reflection i do think there's not enough credit given to the idea that the winning strategy as actually position yourself in the strongest positon within the Power Alliance. I think we as viewers definitely emphasize the player who is the one pushing all the major moves in the game or masterminding the alliance, which is why so many people gravitated towards Tiffany. And when it comes to that final 6, I do think Tiffany for sure is the only one who actually beats Xavier in a jury vote because I think even he was aware of the fact that she had the biggest sway outside of the cook. Which is why he definitely methodically went after Tiffany and Hannah first. His game winning move was flipping majority of the alliance on Tiffany heading into that final 6. Individually outside of the cookout, Xavier definitely is an average player but there is something to be said for the fact that he was already planning out how to beat the rest of the alliance while Tiffany was still focusing on getting all six to the end.
What do you mean? Xavier actually played a good game with one of the best and most meaningful alliances, good athletic and mental comps and a valid social game. The luckiest winner was definitely Josh from season 19.
@@85gmb1 It’s true! Xavier is great and well deserving. But so many things just fell into place for him. We didn’t see his greatness fully tested. And that’s the disappointing part. Not taking nothing away from him though. I love him.
Well the reason they were saying people couldn't beat him finale two was more so because the house knew that Xavier was well liked in the house and that he didn't have any blood on his hands. That's not to say that he wasn't lucky. To me if you watch the season, he was the glue that kept the cookout together and without him don't think they would've made it to final six, so that's what made him an unbeatable player that season.

Yeah, that’s how it is sometimes. I guess it is weird in a Big Brother sense because a big part of the show is having an excellent social game. And an alliance that doesn’t rely on that is strange for BB. But in reality, it’s about the mission not likability. And one thing black folks know how to do is stay on code.
Just stumbled on your page and im definitely a fan. Been watching BB for a long time and let me tell you I loved that we had a black winner but I also wish it was Kyland and X in the final two
It seems like game difficulty scales with the general skill, strategic play and intelligence of all players. Sorry, but most of the cast seem like the types that would have been booted off early in any other season - including Xavier. Long story short the entire cast and season were underwhelming as regards their gameplay, so it made the victory feel hollow. This is still a great video tho!
I wanted tiffany Hannah or kyland to win and then they evicted all three of them right away after it was just the cookout but I still loved the season despite the weird ending
What do you mean how? It was obvious from the beginning it would be X or Kyland. More obvious as we were left with just their alliance. Once they got out Tiffany no one else would have deserved the win. They didn't do anything.
At the end of the day , people need to accept that luck is a skill . If a wad of cash falls from the roof , of course it’s lucky if someone finds it but they have to be standing in the right position for it to fall into their lap. Xavier put himself in the most likely position for opportunities to fall in his lap by being positioned in a place that made him the most logical option to choose. Outcomes change based on the environment and because there were so many people in this season who wanted to make big moves - Xavier basically served as the breathe of fresh air that people were unconsciously drawn to. But it’s still hilarious that the contestants gaslit themselves into thinking he was the best player - they really pulled that out of thin air .
So basically he did nothing the whole game?? What a garbage winner ngl. As a black person. What a shame of winner. Tiffany, Kyland & Hannah wouldve been much better winners than whatever this garbage was. BB21 to BB23 is the worst lineup of seasons ngl. Xavier was literally handed the win.
@@youngrob2121 You make some good points. I'm only on week 3 of bb23, but I'll let you know if my opinion changes.
Just like any other member of the cookout. He brought his game to the next level when it was only the F6 left in the house.
@@youngrob2121 im just now seeing your comments. We are seeing eye to eye on this for sure.
Yes they had a great goal as a group but I felt like a lot if them played for the group and end goal instead of their own game while X played more for himself I nstead of the group.
he let Brent, Whitney and Christian go back to back weeks.all players he could have worked with. don't say he wasn't playing for the group as well

Xavier is literally just the evolution of winners. We all love people like Dan or Will, but as seen the past few seasons most of the time that play style will make you lose to the jury in the games current state. I truly believe we will see more of this passive playstyle from future winners.
No pun intended
Thank you for doing this video! Taran complained about having to break down Xavier's game but you came through as usual.
to be totally fair, taran helped me a great deal through his recaps and is an absolute stud, but im glad i could come through for you!
That explains why you really didn’t give Xavier any credit, you listen to Taran who is an Xavier hater.
So, from what I heard from this video, it would seem to me that it was less that Xavier won and more so than the others lost. Not saying Xavier wasn't a great player. He was an elite player, but everyone else had multiple chances and when they considered the option, it was too late. Bad move.
“the sole vote to evote” 😂😂
Thought he was slick lmfaoooo
SO annoying
Even though I was disspointed with who made the final 3 I can't deny that Xavier was pretty much 100% ensured that he was winning by the final 4. Not a lot of that and his journey to the final 4 was his own doing though lol
Tbf he surrounded himself in final 4. Where all of them would bring him to f2
@@mmdd1996 I think Derek F is the only one you can credit Xavier with actively convincing to take him to final 2. Kyland had this huge ego that decided for himself that he was gonna take Xavier. Azah was actually taking Derek F until the very last second since the dude can't shut his mouth.
@@khntou4178 fair enough
@@khntou4178 well thanks to Xavier playing an amazing game it bounced really well with Kyland's ego thus u can say that it was thanks to xaviers gameplay he kyland would take him to final 2
@@dregotdasauce4172 It was also combination of everyone saying X can not be beat if in f2, and with the jury house made up of women and DX wanting Tiff/Hannah to win BB23, that made it best for Ky's game to team up with X. Besides Tiff/Hannah was banking on Ky taking out X leaving them in the best position to take out Ky.
Believe it or not, a lot of people, even in the current BB subreddit are saying X is like one of the best winners and he was the best player of the season.
I disagree. Xavier's game is the kind of game I and probably many other fans would see themselves playing after they watched a few seasons and have only a surface-level understanding of the strategy of the game:
1.) Lay Low in the beginning.
2.) Don't play too hard
3.) Throw comps and win when you need to only
4.) Sit in your alliance.
But, a lot of people I think, don't realize that while this game works in theory, that without a solid layer of protection of an alliance like the Cookout or the backing of a great strategic player, there are a lot of holes and missing components to playing a winning game that this blueprint doesn't satisfy.
But Xavier was the glue that kept the alliance together. People never bring that up and the good karma came back his way.
@@85gmb1 I'm not saying that his game isn't winnable, it's a fine game, but "the glue" was moreso social ramifications behind the mission and less of him keeping it together.
@@monarchpatriots7886 bottom line every winner has an alliance that helps them. this is true in big brother and survivor. he did everything to make sure the alliance stayed in tact. him and hannah were the only ones in the alliance no one in the alliance was directly targeting
I think Xavier realized that A, he was protected by the cookout which all but ensured he’d have the votes regardless. And B, he could pretty much win any competition
So he didn’t do a whole lot of the work in the early game because he didn’t need to.
That explanation about why the cookout was great. My God very well said and more.important, understood. Thank you sir 🙏🏾🙏🏾🤘🏽✊🏾
Turning the game into "big brother race wars" and targeting other minorities isn't the great accomplishment you think it is. You think the cookout is "woke" when they were the most closed minded people in the house.
@@jhines5713 you Intrepting the season as "race wars" is your words and the issue at hand. So um you know fix that shit and think of a better comeback hahahaha
While Xavier is my least favorite victor, I do respect the ability to do absolutely nothing and win.
This channel is so good, what a gem! Keep em coming, i love all of them
He benefited from the teams twist cuz he was essentially on the ~strongest team, and he was protected by the cookout in the jury phase so he was always safe from ever going home.
He wasn't guaranteed a win at F6 tho. If decided he could've went home in the double or at F4. He really owes his win to Kyland
@@MicMecca i dont think big D or kyland would've voted X to go home over Hannah.
@@cammyr12Productions if Ky had chose to go to F3 with Tiffany and Hannah. Kyland could've backdoored him at F6. I'm only saying that to say he wasn't unstoppable at F6. At F5 Ky won veto. He could've used that to save Hannah. Then him and Hannah could've voted him out. That's twice where he was vulnerable and Kyland saved his game.
Xavier was heavily helped by the existence of the Cookout and Kyland. If it wasn't for the Cookout, he wouldn't had made it to final 6.

I love how everyone says cuz of the cookout, no member of the cookout plays this well if not for the cookout like Tiffany and kyland would have been targets earlier too
Agreed with this video.
U clearly didn’t watch da feeds, those cookout men were NOT a pleasure to watch, it’s also the main reason why Tiffany won AFH!
I was not expecting this video so soon, but I'm excited!
Production couldn’t get it right for years, so might as well exploit the game and shove a middle finger into their faces.
Yes, it can be racist and should never have gone this way, but it really was the last straw that the community had against production
If Tiffany won I think alot of people would have bb23 higher on their list
yep!
Funny how Xavier’s status as top dog was first instated because Tiffany was supporting him and people thought oh Tiffany can’t be that smart she must have a man behind her telling her the plays 😒
Unfortunately, she did not play a good social game with the cookout by the end.
yeah that jump confused me i thought they would accurately think “oh Xavier is Tiffany’s minion”
I would say that his social skills are what helped him because he was likeable enough that people kept him despite his threat level
Tiffany should of won
if she played a better social game maybe she could've had a better shot
@@dregotdasauce4172 Facts. Her social game within the cookout was on life support at the end. 😂

Great vid u did a good job of crediting X while also being real about the luck he had Tiff and Ky ran the season and Ky should’ve took her to F2 but ironically like you said everyone set up the “X is the best” narrative also Tiff messed up when she iced out Ky for like a month cuz she was paranoid of him that was her only downfall imo
X certainly had a very unique path to victory. Lots of ups and downs, similar to a roller coaster
Her other mistake was not following her own plan at points and she put a target on her back
X originally wanted to take Tiffany and hannah and big d to final 4 but then Tiffany won second hoh
Like others said it wasn't her only downfall. She lost a lot of her mojo when she lost that HOH to Ky and she was playing from behind after that.
@mike carson you are forgetting that Tiffany hannah and Xavier have confirmed they had a final 3 until Tiffany second hoh, he was targeting kyland at 6 because they made their deal during britni eviction
Didn’t expect it so soon. I was expecting Kaycee before Xavier.
In a game where everyone makes mistakes, the one who makes the least mistakes becomes the winner.

Xavier is a top social player of all time his connection were to strong
probably a top-10/15 social player ever. The guy never made social mistakes.
He didn’t really have very strong social connections with anyone outside of the cookout or the kings
@@chevon1920 that's...literally all the strongest players in the house lmaoo
@@mgm8075 well I say the kings minus SB. So Christian and Alyssa. Christian was a strong player, I think Alyssa was a passable strategist but she never got any power. Claire, DX and SB all wanted to target X on their hoh’s but tiff, Hannah and ky protected him simply because of the cookout. I think frenchie wanted to target him too but Christian protected him.

Not to mention it was redundant lol since they basically guaranteed half the cast aint winning without even letting them play the game.

"The sole vote to evote" BB21 flashbacks ensue!
After the game, Xavier bought his alliance gifts…👌🏾👌🏾
Xavier was great player I had him pick for the win since day 1
You know upong further reflection i do think there's not enough credit given to the idea that the winning strategy as actually position yourself in the strongest positon within the Power Alliance.
Xavier is the luckiest player in Big Brother history.
What do you mean? Xavier actually played a good game with one of the best and most meaningful alliances, good athletic and mental comps and a valid social game. The luckiest winner was definitely Josh from season 19.

@85gmb1 I mean, he kinda was though. I personally feel like those "experts" tend to prefer social/strategic players like Tiffany and Hannah
Well the reason they were saying people couldn't beat him finale two was more so because the house knew that Xavier was well liked in the house and that he didn't have any blood on his hands. That's not to say that he wasn't lucky.
Kyland's misogyny is reading loud and clear throughout this 😪
Imagine if Tiffany won...we need a BW to win now
and we just did!
1:23 that would spook me so bad
Omg, Xavier rode the back off the cookout. I'm disappointed.
man would bet on lottery numbers with this guy
