The fun fact is that in real life Spartans and Romans really did cohabitate. However by the time the roman empire was on it's peak, the Spartans where no therat to anyone and they just ignore them lol. Their citys were left on ruins and habitate in small villages. All of them with rusty armors and weapons by the time romans encounter them. Then by the time of Constantine I only 20 spartans where left lol. Also the classic "Spartan Warrior" we see in games/movies/comics were the warrior is almost hlaf naked is indeed Late stages spartans that usually sold their armor for some money or throw it away due to beeing very old and unwearable. Spartans on their golden age did have chest protection and more ornaments.
The Spartans are way over rated in this game. While they were a formidable force, at their peak would not be nearly as strong as the Romans. The high rating of the Spartans is mainly due to the story of the 300. While there were only 300 Spartans at Thermopalea, there were thousands of Athenians and other Greeks backing them up.

You should name the bridge bloody bridge because the bridge is now stained with spartan and roman blood with a mountain of dead Spartans and Romans nice battle
and we have to name the bridge with the name "bloody bridge" because the bridge was the former of the great war between the spartan army against the roman army,The war lasted for days and the battle was very fierce where the Roman troops had catapults and arrow troops behind there , and the war was won by a strong, tough, and strong Spartan army
The Roman archers and catapults would have loved to move closer for a kill, and then they were slaughtered when they _still_ werent given order to attack. Amazing...

the "night" period got so dark it was hard to see and keep track of the fighting.
i agree, really hard to enjoy the battle in such darkness.. i did pointed this issue with developers on Steam.
I thought the spartans are going to lose. The bridges defense were verry good. But once it's breached, the romans are done.
