Fun fact: there's actually a really cool connection to Hamilton and Les Mis. The real-life Lafayette was actually at the funeral of General Lamarque in Les Mis, so it's like 100% percent possible that he would have bumped into the barricade boys.

I say this will all admiration and respect--the greatest success story of Broadway is a truly terrible singer--his rise is all the more remarkable for it.
This man defines humility. He has written a musical that will no doubt become the 'Les Mis' of the 21st century, and received countless awards and salutations for his genius. Yet here his obvious and almost child-like delight at having the opportunity to be part of a Les Mis production, perhaps something he, like millions of others aspire to, is a joy to witness. 'For reasons surpassing understanding...' A simply wonderful turn of phrase.
Loved it, you and your shows are game changers! Your giving hope to every kid out there who dreams big crazy impossible Broadway dreams. I'm one of those kids thank you for that!

When I was a teenager I was fortunate enough to meet a lady who was about my grandma's age and loved the theater. She ushered at theaters in Windsor and Detroit and invited my sister and I to help at Windsor Light Opera plays. We would help at 5 shows of each play (they only did 6 shows per play) She was also on the list for theaters in Detroit and sometimes set things up for us to help over there. I count myself blessed to have seen traveling productions of Les Miserables, Evita and Miss Saigon for free. Les Miserables was the most amazing and the music is still heartbreaking to me but so is the story. I have paid to go see plays but during my volunteer years I saw at least 15 different plays for free and many concerts.
