    What a fun trip. I found it funny that as soon as you described a rock, she would hand you one. The three of you make a great team. A page of thundereggs would be nice. Maybe something in the winter. Keep the great content coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

    So I’ve been gathering nodules from red top and green water. My plan was to take them and cut them in half or slab them up, so I can make a table out of them my plan was to use clear epoxy resin that you can buy in a kit. Those lily pad thunder eggs would also make a beautiful countertop or table. I seen a few examples out there and some of them are pretty amazing.

    We were just up there a few weeks ago and the kids found a Boulder of the shiny black rock. We are not experienced at identifying yet. But we took some samples home! The kids are hoping it's obsidian... You'll have to let us know what you think it is!

    Have you tried tumbling the little ones? Way cute!
    I was just at Polka Dot Agate Mine in Oregon and dug in their egg bed in the pouring rain. It was cold and wet but they have some very unique eggs with all sorts of different stuff. The guys there are super nice and there are a ton of big eggs and multiple egg clusters.

    This is a really great video! Thank you for the perfect explanations in "layman's terms" about the geology and hunting process! I now wonder if my Lake Michigan septarian nodules aka. Lightning Stones could also gain another name as a type of thunder egg?!

    • @CurrentlyRockhounding
      @CurrentlyRockhounding  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. It's my understand that a Septarian Nodule is a mud ball that cracks and minerals move in such as Calcite, so a little different formation from how a thunderegg comes to be.
