You are very lucky that you are living in China. I live in the country side of America and my mind was still thinking that China didn’t have a toilet like us in USA. But when I went to China I have no idea how to use their toilet with a control. I feel so embarrassed because my mind was still stuck in the 1970. Sometimes, we need to go out side a country where we are living so we know the world is so beautiful out there.
Yes, it is important to explore the world and understand how others culture are different than others. I makes us better global citizens :) Thanks for sharing your anecdote with us!
Me too wish I could move to China so much safer than US. Living in US is suffering depressing every day news drive by shooting mass murdering across US and keep happening and police in US are a criminal organization gangster.
China is a very rich country. Just the trade surplus for 2022 was US 877 billion dollars! That's bigger than the GDP of many European countries. E. g Norway - US 541 billion, Belgium - US 614 billion, Switzerland - US 632 billion, Finland - US 281.4 billion, Portugal - US 255.85 billion Denmark - US 348 billion, Sweden - US 573 billion and more...
Furthermore, the trade surplus for China 2022 is bigger than the total exports for 4 members of G7 countries. UK - US $874 billion (2021) Canada - US$631 billion (2022) Italy - US $611 billion (2021) France - US $584 billion (2021) Also China's trade surplus (2022) is almost twice the size of India's total exports US $444 billion, and more than twice the total exports for Australia US $415.6 billion.

Firstly apply for an ID card for foreigner. With this card you can open a bank account, of course you will get a bank card, too. Then register it in WeChat and alipay. Actually with passport you can also open a bank account, but with I'd card is much easier.
