I tried following this video for the first time today and it was so much easier than all my other attempts at different patterns and videos. I made my daughters Easter dress and I am so pleased with how it turned out! Instant subscriber!
Jessica thank you! Your comment really warmed my heart! I love when people let me know that they actually made the clothes from my tutorials. Hope you have a lovely day :)
I'm just beginning this project. I have bought so called simple commercial patterns to make a dress, for my two great granddaughters, that were suppose to be easy. What a waste of my time and money. I couldn't even figure out how to place down the pattern pieces. So, I balled up that pathetically thin tan paper and threw them away. All I've done so far is cut out the pieces. Baby steps. I'm excited to begin sewing. Thank you for visually demonstrating what I will need to do.
So...I downloaded this pattern this morning and made a dress in an hour. I left off the bow but still, so cute! This pattern is super easy and adorable. Thank you!
Wow! Thank you. Not only instructions. But a pattern to go with it. Simplicity made simpler! These are so fun to make because of the substantially less need for fabric! Because of the little people in our lives. Fabric is expensive!! I should hopefully be a grand parent soon. I may need this. I may do it for practice and give it to the neighbors with little ones. It just looks fun to make. Thanks!
This is such a good video, I bought a wrap dress pattern, that is supposed to be EASY but, with no experience it has been a nightmare; I need VISUAL videos like this to watch. So disheartened now with a part made dress, with double bias around the neck. Feel like a failure now. Your video is the best I have seen, thank you.
Marion, thank you for your comment. We᾿ve all been begginers at some point and I am grateful that you joined our sewing community. Have a blessed creative day :)
Hi Peggy :) The length of elastic depends a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using. The good news is that it is not strict how long should the elastic be, just as long as it fits comfortably around the girl᾿s waist - better to make it a little bigger than too small. The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (18 inches) (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). The width of the elastic I used was 0.6 cm (1/4 of an inch). Have a lovely creative day :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I printed out and attempted several others that just didn’t work!! So thankful that I stumbled upon this one. Look forward to more!!! 👗👗👗
Thank you Penni for your kind comment! It always warms my heart when I get a comment from someone who actually makes the clothes that I am showing in my tutorials! Have a lovely creative day ;)
When I printed the pattern and measured the squares to the right they all matched up but my two skirt pieces are not even. One has more of a curve than the other but on the video yours look perfectly even. Should I just use the front pattern that is more of a square shape? I hope this makes sense.
Hi there. The two skirt pattern pieces need to be taped together. That way it becomes one pattern piece. 1/2 is taped to 2/2, vertically. Then place pattern on the fold, and cut two. You will see that they do line up. I hope this helps.

Hi Dawn:) There is only one skirt pattern - on two pages; you should tape together the pieces named "skirt pattern 1/2" and "skirt pattern 2/2" where the orange lines are (as written on the first page of the printable pattern). Pink lines indicate where the fabric should be on fold. Have a blessed creative day :)

Thank you so much for this - the dress is beautiful and the instructions are very clear. It would be even better if you could include the fabric type you used in the description box as I have found it below in your replies to questions (cotton jersey 75% cotton 5% elastase) and also how to work out how long the elastic should be. Could you also say the fabric brand - it’s SO pretty!
Trisha, thank you for your kind comment and suggestion! The fabric is indeed cotton jersey (95% cotton 5% elastane). The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). However it does depend a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using, but the good news is that it is not strict how tight should the elastic be, just as long as it fits comfortably around the girl᾿s waist. Have a lovely creative day ;)
Hi there! How could I adapt this to fit children of different ages? I have a 5 and a 7 year old. Love the pattern and style of the dress, but no idea how to adjust the pattern!! Thanks so much 😍
I think there are pattern size charts, I don't know about other patterns but for a dress pattern I have: It does sizes 3 4 5 6 7 8 toddler (T) For each size up it adds: one inch tto the chest Half-inch in the waist 1in in the hips Back of the neck to the waist and a half-inch The overall size changes by 3in for each size up
Use the children's measurements and the pattern measurement differences and add in equal parts all round so say the pattern piece is 8 inch's but the body u wanna make is 10 re draw the pieces adding the 2 inch's in equal parts all round it . I dunno how to explain it but work out the dif between sizes and add it to ur re drawn piece
Tracy, thank you for your lovely comment. Unfortunately I have not made the pattern for girls outside of 18-30 months of age, however you could upsize the printable pattern with the help of the dresses that your daughters already own and fits them perfectly; use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Have a blessed creative day :)

Thank you so much for your generosity giving a free pattern with tutorial is very helpful for someone like me im a beginner and I don’t have enough money to buy a pattern im sewing my daughters dress only
Hi Kathy :) Thank you for your question. You can use this pattern to make dresses for girls as long as the dresses you are going to make will not be for sale. Have a blessed creative day :)
I love this video! This tutorial was very helpful, and at least i can download the PDF file without having to go to some complex website or something! Thank you!
Dawn, when the link takes you to Google Drive, you should have in the upper right corner an icon for downloading and printing the pattern. Have a blessed creative day :)

Hi! I just want to ask you that I had copy the pdf n try out to sew. But mine is just a sample for me to try out. After I had cut the skirt, how come the pattern is not the same length? I need your help please. Thank you so much..
Hi :) Thank you for your question. Thank you for your question. For this project you have to use stretchy fabric (mine is 95% cotton 5% elastane) and it should fit over a child's head it you stretch it while dressing, however you can always cut the neckline bigger. ;) Have a lovely creative day :)
Pauline, thank you for your questions. 1.) I used cotton jersey fabric (95% cotton 5% elastane), which is indeed a knit fabric. 2.) The printable pattern is for girls size 18 - 30 months (1,5 - 2,5 years of age) and therefore wouldn᾿t fit a 5 year old, however you could upsize the printable pattern with the help of the dress that and you already own and fits your little girl perfectly; use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Have a blessed creative day :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial and pattern!!! I might be missing something, or just plain dumb, but how long does the elastic need to be? I don't think it says that anywhere, but if it does, I'm so sorry!
Hi, thank you for your question :) The length of elastic depends a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using. Just in case anyone sees this.. the measurements for the pattern in the description are ever so slightly wrong- for the front and back bodice pieces the measurements ‘B’ and ‘D’ should be the other way around, I think.
Fay, thank you for your kind warning! The B and D measurements were indeed wrong in the video description. I have corrected it now. Thank you! Have a blessed creative day :)
Bev, thank you for question. Maybe you could alter it with the help of the dress or shirt for the bodice that fits your princess and you already own? And you use the PDF pattern as a guide for curves? Have a lovely creative day ;)
This is such a great and straight forward video, thank you! I'm excited to try this out for my daughter! How would you suggest I edit the sizing to fit a 1yr old (who's on the petite side) thank you!
Thank you SamMe! :) I have received quite a few meeseges that people have difficulties making the pattern from the pattern images in the video and instructions in the description box. Therefore I would like to inform you that I am currently making the PDF pattern which should be finished and uploaded by the end of the week. However the size of the pattern will be for 18 - 30 months. Maybe you could alter it with the help of the shirt that fits your princess and you already own? Have a lovely creative day ;)
Hi Nadia, do you have difficulties with drawing this pattern for girls aged between 18 - 30 months as it is intended for or do you have trouble resizing it for different age? In case of the first option; I have added the free PDF pattern in the description box; drive.google.com/file/d/1-7_j... This link will redirect you to Google Drive where you can download the pattern. If you have any diffilulties with the link, please let me know and I will try to find another way to send you the pattern. :) You can also draw the pattern with the help of pattern pictures in the video and the measurements in the description box. (You will get the same pattern that is printable in the PDF file, but that way you can also learn a bit of drafting first and then compare it to the PDF pattern if you have drawn the pattern correctly.) In case of the second option - if you have trouble resizing it; print the PDF pattern and compare the size to the piece of clothing - eather a dress or a shirt that fits the girl that you want to make this dress for and you already own. Draw the pattern on a new piece of paper with the help of the shirt/dress and then alter it with the help of printable PDF pattern so that the ratio between measurements will be the same as in the PDF pattern. Also do not forget to add seam allowance. If you will have any further specific questions, let me know. Have a lovely creative day :)
Sabrina, thank you for question. Unfortunately not, however you could upsize the printable pattern with the help of the dress that fits your girl and you already own; And you use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Have a blessed creative day :)
Renee, thank you for your question. Both times I used straight stitch, however when sewing the elastic onto the skirt you can also use zig-zag stitch. Make sure you are using machine settings for stretchy fabric so that the seams will also be stretchy. Have a blessed creative day :)
Fatima, thank you for your lovely comment. In the video description you can find a link which will take you to Google Drive where you can download the free PDF pattern. Have a blessed creative day :)
Hi Rachel, for this dress you should use stretchy fabric. However if you would like to use non-stretchy fabric for this dress, you should insert a zipper, otherwise the little girl won᾿t be able to dress/undress. Have a lovely creative day :)
I’m a beginner and would love to see this for my grand baby. She’s 2 but wears size 4-5 Toddler clothes. Do you have the measurements/pattern for that?
Melissa, thank you for your question. Unfortunately I have not made the pattern for older girls, however maybe you could alter the printable pattern with the help of the dress or shirt for the bodice that fits your granddaughter and you already own? And you use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern? Have a lovely creative day ;)
@@sew_wear you’re very welcome and thank you so much for the advice. I appreciate it very much. I’ll certainly give it a try. May you have a blessed, creative day as well.
Hi Tine, if you would like to use 100% for this dress, I advise to then insert a zipper, otherwise the little girl won᾿t be able to dress/undress. Have a lovely creative day :)
Heidi, thank you for your question. Bev, thank you for your kind comment. The fabric is 95% cotton 5% elastane. It warms my heart that I have ispired you to make this dress :) Have a lovely creative day ;)
Sofia, thank you for your question. When attaching the bodice to the skirt, make sure to sew it on below the elastic and the elastic will be nicely hidden. Have a lovely creative day :)
Claudia, when attaching the bodice to the skirt, make sure to sew it on below the elastic so that the elastic will be nicely hidden from outside. Have a lovely creative day :)
Thank you for the video and pdf! I'm a beginner and am probably just missing where you already shared the answer to my question...but how much fabric should I buy for the pattern?
Krista, thank you for your kind comment. One yard is more than enough. :) I made it out of half a yard, however it was a very close call and since you are a beginner I suggest you buy a whole yard. Have a lovely creative day :)
Hi Daisy, thank you for your question. Elastic should be waist length or possibly a little smaller. The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). However it does depend a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using, but the good news is that it is not strictly how tight should the elastic be, just be mindful: a.) If the top of the skirt after step 5 is wider than the bottom of the shirt; you have to use smaller length of the elastic in step 5. b.) If the bottom of the shirt after the step 5 is smaller than the top of the skirt; you just stretch the top of the skirt to fit the bottom of the shirt while you are sewing both pieces together (step 6). Also I have received quite a few meeseges that people have difficulties making the pattern from the pattern images in the video and instructions in the description box. Therefore I would like to inform you that the PDF pattern is now accessible through the link in the description box, if you will have any difficulties drawing the pattern by yourself using measurements in the description box :)
I’m making this dress there’s two skirt patterns. Both are cut folded in half but they don’t look the same to me what is flared, and the other one curves awkward
Maria, there is only one skirt pattern - on two pages; you should glue together skirt pattern 1/2 and skirt pattern 2/2 where the orange lines are. Pink lines indicate where the fabric should be on fold. Have a blessed creative day :)
I know this video is a little older, but I really loved it. I have a sewing group at church that makes dresses for Operation Christmas Child boxes which are given to children around the world that does not have much. I would love to do this dress for needy little girls that might not have ever had a dress to wear. Do I have your permission to use your pattern for this? Thank you in advance.
Hi Helen :) The length of elastic depends a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using. Question: should I cut the pattern and the cotton following the line of the pattern or should I leave 1 more cm? I just cut following the line but the top of the dress is really small.. my daughter is a small ones, but she can wear it now and is just 80 cm heigh. What did I make wrong? Thx
Claudia, thank you for your question. I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Is it possible that you used non-stretchy cotton fabric? I hope we can together find a solution to your problem. Have a blessed creative day :)
Thank you that was a great video for a little girls dress so pleased that you ladies are sewing👍👏 I loved your pin cushion have you the pattern for that please , 🤪
Wendy, thank you for your lovely comment! The pin cushion I have was gifted to my mother and therefore I do not have the pattern, however as I have closely looked at it, it look like it is made out of two crochet circle shape filled with cushion filling. Have a lovely and creative day ;)
Hi! What's the length of the elastic? Tried to make it the same as the bottom of the shirt, but when I put the shirt and skirt together, there was an excess part of the skirt for the shirt. Is that even clear? 😅
Hey :) Thank you for your question! a.) If the top of the skirt after step 5 is wider than the bottom of the shirt; you have to use smaller length of the elastic in step 5. b.) If the bottom of the shirt after the step 5 is smaller than the top of the skirt; you just stretch the top of the skirt to fit the bottom of the shirt while you are sewing both pieces together (step 6). That means that as long as you have the two pieces of the same length or scenario b.), you are going to be able to fit the two pieces together. But right now you have scenario a.) and you indeed need to use smaller elastic; the length of elastic I used was 45 cm (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). Let me know if you have any further questions :)

What stitches do I use for each part and what pattern should I be looking into? When I see my shirt bottom I can’t meet the end to where I started, why?
Thank you for your questions Alice! 1.) I used straight stitch secured with a zig zag stitch for steps 1 -6 and for hemming I used only zig zag stitch. 2.) You have to make your own pattern, but there are measurements in the description box to help you with that. 3.a) If the top of the skirt after step 5 is wider than the bottom of the shirt; you have to use smaller length of the elastic in step 5. 3.b) If the bottom of the shirt after the step 5 is smaller than the top of the skirt; you just stretch the top of the skirt to fit the bottom of the shirt while you are sewing both pieces together (step 6). I hope I was clear enough. Let me know if you have any further questions :)
Eva, thank you for your questions. When sewing together the top and the botton of the dress, you can ever so slightly stretch the top so that it will fit the gathered skirt. Make sure you are using machine settings for stretchy fabric so that the seam will also be stretchy. You should sew below the elastic (so that elastic is hidden from the outside). If you have any more questions, let me know. Have a blessed creative day :)

Just got a sewing machine this year for valentines day and I am thinking of trying to make this for my baby sister's 1st birthday. How much fabric (in yds) would you say you needed for the top and the skirt?

Hey, Hassina, the PDF pattern is printable (and available completely for free to use). After you print it on the paper, you can cut around the lines and then simply cut it out of fabric. :)
Hey :) The skirt part is on two pages, because it did not fit onto one. After you cut both of the skirt pattern pieces on printed paper, you have to glue them together where the orange line is - that way you get one skirt pattern (which is folded in half where the pink line is and is marked "folded in half" - you have to cut fabric on fold there). Pattern for front and back skirt is the same - which means you have to cut two pieces of fabric of this glued together pattern on fold. I hope that I have explained you clearly enough. If you have any further questions let me know :)

Hi, thank you for your qustions. For this dress it is appropriate knit fabric; I used cotton jersey fabric (95% cotton 5% elastane). Have a blessed creative day :)
Hi Habib :) PDF pattern is for18 - 30 month year old girls. However you can upsize it (if needed to fit older girls) with the help of the clothes that fit the girl and zou already own. :)
Cassandra, thank you for your questions. There is a link in the video description which will take you to Google Drive where you can download the free PDF pattern. The printable pattern is for girls size 18 - 30 months (1,5 - 2,5 years of age). If you are not sure if it would fit your little girl, you could resize the printable pattern with the help of the dress that you already own and fits your little girl perfectly; use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Hi Sierra :) The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (18 inches) (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). However it does depend a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using, but the good news is that it is not strict how tight should the elastic be, just as long as it fits comfortably around the girl᾿s waist - better to make it a little bigger than too small. The width of the elastic I used was 0.6 cm (1/4 of an inch). Have a lovely creative day ;)
Thank you for your question Jeline. You should print the pattern pdf on standard A4 paper format. P.S.: After you print the pattern PDF on paper, check with a ruler if the sides of the squares in the top right corner on the first page are 1cm /1 inch, just to make sure that your printer did not resize the file. Have a lovely creative day :)
Barbara, thank you for your kind comment. Your granddaughters are very blessed to have a grandma that sews them dresses. Have a lovely creative day :)
So...I downloaded this pattern this morning and made a dress in an hour. I left off the bow but still, so cute! This pattern is super easy and adorable. Thank you!
Cordelia, thank you for your lovely comment! Have a blessed creative day :)
Wow! Thanks!
Glen, thank you for your lovely comment! Have a blessed creative day :)

@@phebeisrael5995 Yep 👍
When I printed the pattern and measured the squares to the right they all matched up but my two skirt pieces are not even. One has more of a curve than the other but on the video yours look perfectly even. Should I just use the front pattern that is more of a square shape? I hope this makes sense.
me too! how did you adjust?!
Hi there. The two skirt pattern pieces need to be taped together. That way it becomes one pattern piece. 1/2 is taped to 2/2, vertically. Then place pattern on the fold, and cut two. You will see that they do line up. I hope this helps.

There is only one skirt pattern - on two pages; you should tape together the pieces named "skirt pattern 1/2" and "skirt pattern 2/2" where the orange lines are (as written on the first page of the printable pattern).

Hi there! How could I adapt this to fit children of different ages? I have a 5 and a 7 year old. Love the pattern and style of the dress, but no idea how to adjust the pattern!! Thanks so much 😍
I think there are pattern size charts,
I don't know about other patterns but for a dress pattern I have:
It does sizes 3 4 5 6 7 8 toddler (T)
For each size up it adds:
one inch tto the chest
Half-inch in the waist
1in in the hips
Back of the neck to the waist and a half-inch
The overall size changes by 3in for each size up
Use the children's measurements and the pattern measurement differences and add in equal parts all round so say the pattern piece is 8 inch's but the body u wanna make is 10 re draw the pieces adding the 2 inch's in equal parts all round it .
Tha ks for this...my comment is ..would it fit the head ? Since there is no opening at back? It seems so small for a child's head..

I love this but I need a 4T size; how do I make it a little bit bigger?

@@sew_wear Hi sew and Wear good every can u please help me out I want to learn to do body measurement, please seep by step
Hi Nadia,
do you have difficulties with drawing this pattern for girls aged between 18 - 30 months as it is intended for or do you have trouble resizing it for different age?
In case of the first option; I have added the free PDF pattern in the description box;
drive.google.com/file/d/1-7_j...
This link will redirect you to Google Drive where you can download the pattern. If you have any diffilulties with the link, please let me know and I will try to find another way to send you the pattern. :)
You can also draw the pattern with the help of pattern pictures in the video and the measurements in the description box. (You will get the same pattern that is printable in the PDF file, but that way you can also learn a bit of drafting first and then compare it to the PDF pattern if you have drawn the pattern correctly.)
In case of the second option - if you have trouble resizing it; print the PDF pattern and compare the size to the piece of clothing - eather a dress or a shirt that fits the girl that you want to make this dress for and you already own.
Wouls the measurements you pisted in the description also work for a 5t toddler dress? Or will I need to allow a little more fabric for that?
Sabrina, thank you for question. Unfortunately not, however you could upsize the printable pattern with the help of the dress that fits your girl and you already own; And you use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Have a blessed creative day :)
Thank u! What kind of stitch did you use when sewing the elastic to the skirt and then when you attached the skirt to the top?
Have you find your own answer? I'm blocked in that point
Renee, thank you for your question. Both times I used straight stitch, however when sewing the elastic onto the skirt you can also use zig-zag stitch.
Make sure you are using machine settings for stretchy fabric so that the seams will also be stretchy.
Have a blessed creative day :)
It turned out beautiful and very easy to follow! Thank you

Thanks for this beautiful dress. One question: what is the length of the elastic for the top of the skirt please?
Hi Daisy,
thank you for your question. Elastic should be waist length or possibly a little smaller. The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). However it does depend a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using, but the good news is that it is not strictly how tight should the elastic be, just be mindful:
a.) If the top of the skirt after step 5 is wider than the bottom of the shirt; you have to use smaller length of the elastic in step 5.
b.) If the bottom of the shirt after the step 5 is smaller than the top of the skirt; you just stretch the top of the skirt to fit the bottom of the shirt while you are sewing both pieces together (step 6).

Hi! What's the length of the elastic? Tried to make it the same as the bottom of the shirt, but when I put the shirt and skirt together, there was an excess part of the skirt for the shirt. Is that even clear? 😅
Hey :)
Thank you for your question!
a.) If the top of the skirt after step 5 is wider than the bottom of the shirt; you have to use smaller length of the elastic in step 5.
b.) If the bottom of the shirt after the step 5 is smaller than the top of the skirt; you just stretch the top of the skirt to fit the bottom of the shirt while you are sewing both pieces together (step 6).

Let me know if you have any further questions :)
do i need special thread; or is regular thread ok?
Regular thread is ok :)
Also when you connect the bottom to the top of the dress you stretch the bottom? Do you sew under the elastic, above or on?
Eva, thank you for your questions. When sewing together the top and the botton of the dress, you can ever so slightly stretch the top so that it will fit the gathered skirt. Make sure you are using machine settings for stretchy fabric so that the seam will also be stretchy. You should sew below the elastic (so that elastic is hidden from the outside). If you have any more questions, let me know. Have a blessed creative day :)
Very nice. Please tell me. In which store did you buy the fabric?

Why is on side straight and the other curved on the skirt pattern? Do we just align the edges? Also how long should the elastic be?
I think the one piece of the skirt pattern is wrong. If you watch the video, both of her skirt pieces are exactly the same. Wish I would have watched the video more closely because I just wasted material cutting out a wrong skirt pattern.
Eva, thank you for your questions.
1.) There is only one skirt pattern - on two pages; you should tape together the pattern pieces named "skirt pattern 1/2" and "skirt pattern 2/2" where the orange lines are (as written on the first page of the printable pattern). Pink lines indicate where the fabric should be on fold.
2.) The length of elastic depends a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using.
Have a blessed creative day :)

Just got a sewing machine this year for valentines day and I am thinking of trying to make this for my baby sister's 1st birthday. How much fabric (in yds) would you say you needed for the top and the skirt?
Dear Morgan, welcome to the sewing community! One yard is more than enough :) (I made it out of half a yard, however I had to play a little bit of "tetris" to fit all the pattern pieces onto the fabric). Have a lovely creative day ;)
This is very nice. Thank you. How do I resize to fit my 21/2 year old?
Sharoina, thank you for your question. Have a blessed creative day :)
Hi Veronica - I am from Australia and I luv your work - this dress is beautiful and thank you for the PDF pattern - very helpful. I would luv to make this for my granddaughter who is 4 years old but a tiny tot (like a 2 year old) could you please let me know the length size of the elastic?
Thank you Cira for your lovely comment! Elastic length should be the same length that your granddaughter᾿s waist is or possibly a little smaller. The length of elastic I used was 45 cm (after the two ends of the elastic are sewed together). However it does depend a little on how "stretchy" is the elastic that you are using, but the good news is that it is not strict how tight should the elastic be, just as long as it fits comfortably around your granddaughter᾿s waist. Greetings to Australia from Slovenia ;)
@@sew_wear Thanks and take care out there
You didn’t say what the fabric is , cotton , stretch etc makes a big difference with the sewing
Mary, thank you for your question. Fabric for this dress should be stretchy; I used cotton jersey (95% cotton 5% elastane). Have a lovely creative day :)
I needed to be able to read the numbers I can't always find your pdf to get the numbers
Fran, the measurements are also in the video description. Have a blessed creative day :)
Does anyone know the length of the elastic? I must be missing it
For the neckline?, I don't think there is one, I think there's no need since it's made from Jersey fabric and jersey fabric doesn't fray
The elastic for the skirt portion

Hi
I am going to try this one. However how do I make for a six year old girl?
Nancy, thank you for your question. Unfortunately I have not made the pattern for older girls, however you could upsize the printable pattern with the help of the dress that fits your little girl and you already own; use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Have a lovely creative day :)

Adorable , mais pour les amateurs il faut mettre les mesures svp .Merci pour ce partage
Hassina, thank you for your comment. The measurements are in the description box. Also you can download the PDF pattern (completely for free) if you yollor the link in the description box (drive.google.com/file/d/1-7_jEp0phC8EDRqJkbmfhTGfuSE9Dtc3/view). Have a lovely day :)
@@sew_wear thank you so very much for your answer , but i don’t know even how to use a patron ☺️ i just try at home alone , but thanks a lot dear .
Hey, Hassina, the PDF pattern is printable (and available completely for free to use). After you print it on the paper, you can cut around the lines and then simply cut it out of fabric. :)
The bottom skirt part that is 2 pages, do we cut out 2 of them? 1 for the front and one for the back?
Hey :)
The skirt part is on two pages, because it did not fit onto one.
Any answer on upsizing?
Rochelle, thank you for another question. Unfortunately I have not made the pattern for older girls, however you could upsize the printable pattern with the help of the dress that fits your girl and you already own; And you use the PDF pattern only as a guide for the curves of the pattern. Hello, I have a question. Will this work with fabric that is 100 percent cotton ?
Also is 1 yard good enough? And lastly Can a 2 year old fit in this dress ?
Please advise and thanks a million
Cecilia, thank you for your questions :)
1.) The fabric for this project has to be stretchy, therefore the 100% cotton is not appropriate. I used cotton jersey fabric (95% cotton 5% elastane).
2.) 1 yard of fabric is more than enough.
3.) The printable pattern is for girls size 18 - 30 months (1,5 - 2,5 years of age).
Have a blessed creative day :)
Pls the neck depth and width u use
Maureen, thank you for your question;
Front neckline measurements: 9 cm (width) x 5 cm (depth).
Back neckline measurements: 9 cm (width) x 9 cm (depth).
Have a blessed creative day :)
Veronika can you please tell me how can I do with your patterns for 4-5 years girl please?
Hi :)

Awww it’s lovely. I thought you would have you’re daughter or a girl model it!!
Thank you Cesia for another lovely comment! This dress was a gift and it didn᾿t feel right to ask the parents if I can film their little princess. :)
@@sew_wear oh ok :D
I'm getting a sewing machine soon and will make it for my sis :)
I didn’t see how to do the neckline in the video
Linda, thank you for your feedback. Hem the neckline by folding it once (in the video at 7:00) with a yig-yag stitch. Have a lovely creative day :)
I love this design so much! Is there a way to get the pattern in a size 4T?

How many yards wld we need ?
Hi Cheyenne, one yard is more than enough to make this dress for a toddler :)
How much elastic do I buy?

Hi! What is the size of the paper to be used for printing the pattern? Thanks!
