How to replace a bath waste

Called out to a job where water was coming through the ceiling during the bath being used which strongly suggests that there is a problem with the waste rather than cold or hot water pipework.
Ive removed the bath panel to gain access to the underside of the bath to replace the overflow waste and trap. #plumbing #plumber #drainage

I hope the bath waste went into a gully or hopper as a shallow seal trap is no good into a soil pipe.

You mentioned the sink needs an anti vac trap. I’ve installed a shower with a basin connected to the same waste would I need one on that mine? Or is it mainly for baths due to water volume

Landlord didnt want to pay the little extra for a brass overflow what a cheapskate. Sure you aren't going to live there but atleast show your tenant you care a bit. Let me guess did he/she haggle the cost of you fitting?

To be fair they always paid straight away otherwise i dont really work for landlords, it started out by me working at his own house, thing is the fixtures are matt black, the shower is bronze and the taps are brass so its a right odd mix
