My family is mixed- Latino and White. We are eyeing North Idaho because we are Bible-believing Christians who vote Conservative and are tired of dealing with hateful people in our area. We understand why people are hesitant about new people coming though. We would be teachable and respectful.
I lived there. My family is also mixed. First of all, there is no upper education nearby when they are ready for college. Jobs are not local. You will have to drive to Spokane or someplace 30 or 40 mins for work. If your skin is brown, then you and your kids suffer with racism as we did. Everything other than groceries is a 25 minute drive. The snow is deeper in 'Rathdrum then all the towns nearby because it's in the snowbelt so prepare to blow alot of snow.
N idaho isn’t as diverse as other areas but it isn’t because people here aren’t open hearted to diversity. Anyone can live here who wants to and though I have met a couple of people who were closed minded in the past 21 years of working heavily with the public, the people here are the kindest and friendliest I’ve met in the 6 different states I’ve lived in. Rathdrum public elementary school is the best in the state of idaho. The outcome of Your child’s education depends on parents involvement. Rankings come from the teachers union who are completely corrupt. And Rathdrum is not going to stay tiny. The entire prairie (which is the only place that can now really grow) is part of post falls and Rathdrum and tons of new neighborhoods are going in. Before long There will be no prairie.
Let me cut to the chase, Rathdrum is a bedroom community period! It serves Ceour d Alene and Spokane. Please people who are looking to move to NI don't go any further north then Sandpoint, stay the hell away from Boundary county we've had enough new people moving here and besides there is. "0" industry here. Just stay away!!!
Hi @Classicdonut, the color of your skin and your cultural background won't play a role. It's the content of your character and how you treat others that will determine how well you fit in here. And it's not that we don't want anyone in our state, it's that we don't want a$$h0les in our state and I think that's an okay requirement.

The attitude of your last line says a lot about you. You would be better off moving to southern Idaho. That sounds like the attitude that ruined California & why would we want you here?
I was NEVER happier than when I moved far AWAY from Idaho. Too many people the likes of Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow. And, Idaho doesn't like outsiders - so if you're from California you're gonna have a hard time making friends.
Most of the people that are coming are fleeing the woke retardness of california so why would it be hard to make friends with tons of mind like folks around you? I’m thinking the flood will stop now though because the democrats have driven up gas prices so high folks can’t afford to leave. That should make Gaven nuisance happy being the dictator he is.
I’m from Los Angeles and am far to the right of any native Idahoan I’ve met. Idaho is full of white ethnomasochists who think diversity is a feature rather than a bug.

I’m town it’s great. Fiber with decent speeds. In the hills it’s hit or miss. Some places it’s good others it’s not great with minimal options.
