Thank you another great video. You should know many more people will come and build but without a job available in Ghana, and no business skills it’s uncomfortable to think and realize for most how can they survive financially? In America most people or average person as a job or government check monthly. If it was not for that trust me thousands would come. I have the money for land and house. And materials. But having the money for say a full business in the states and in Ghana is another entire story!!!! 😅

We are doing hidden roof, from my understanding as long as you have the strong cement and waterproof mixed in at the same time, and the roof in the right slant angle for the rain to go down the gutters, praying all will be well, it's not cheap at all
You should talk to an expert else those things might not be enough. Lot's of people do hidden roof to cut cost and end up regretting cis hidden roof is not cheap when done well with bitumen layer.

When building a roof for a building why can't the rafters be built on the ground then be installed I don't see the need to be using so much wood for any roof after all you don't get a tone of snow like how they do in Europe things must change

Tiling can be more expensive than roofing depends on the type of tiles, and the total surface area to be tiled.

I think you should compare quotes from multiple companies and decide which is cheaper when your customer gives you his quote as well

Yes they did my installation for me. Total cost is as shared in the video. Workmanship and transportation was about 2,500
It seems in Africa and the Caribbean no safety measures are taken by the builders.. The roof tetchy.. hard hat, steel toe caps etc.. dangerous!!

You put the wood works before you put the metal on the wood.
The wood works give the roof it's shape and structure.

Thanks for a great video. I have a question for you...what is the cost for metal roofing trusses? Also, do you prefer wooden trusses or metal trusses if the price was the same for each? Finally, do metal trusses interfere with your wifi signal?
Wow. A lot of questions. I hope Lawrence or Jacob will read and respond
So i can help a bit with the wifi interference part. The metal naturally with interfere with wifi signal but the bricks used in building has the same effect. The more obstacles the wifi frequency has to pass through, the lower the signal it emits. Not sure how building works in Ghana but it the metal trusses go on the outside of the building or inside, the building blocks are having similar effect or worse on the wifi signal.

Metal trusses, depending on the material, can cost 1.5x-4x the price of wood. It's the best actually if you can afford it. I'm not aware of metal trusses interfering with WiFi signals.
You should know that metal trusses range in quality and material. Aluminium cost more. Some very cheap metal trusses can rust when you live in a coastal area.

@@AfricaBuildingHub The wood is called Sene if am right with spelling. The area is 60 by 80, and the roofing style is normal not hidden. Word alone was 30,000 so workmanship. Nails. Spraying it’s going to 50,000. Trust now as I speak now I have opted for Slate rather than Aluminium or Alu Zink to save me about 20,000 trust me I wonder how people in Ghana can build

They first did the estimate in March 23,2022 I wasn’t ready yet it was 290million by the time I was ready 3month later it increased by 29million
