- The moment the prey dodge the falcon, the falcon will pass due to its high speed, then looks at the prey over its shoulder to recalculate the next attempt/stoop. Hopefully I could bring the action into the picture
This Juvenile male Prairie falcon, was a road killed, but in pretty good condition.

Thanks to the master for this tutorial! Bravo.
Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us!
Beautiful! You are an amazing artist.
Thank you Jeff, Im glad you enjoyed the video, there will be one every week.
Very well done!
Eres un crack
You bring the birds back to life. Also capture the birds attitude
Thank you.
Great video - very informative. Questions for you. Where do you get your wing carding and pins. I mistakenly cut the wing bones off at the wrist...should I just reinforce with cotton and wire...wanting to set wings in resting pose. Anything special with eye set, to hold skin in place when drying? Looks like you did some painting around eye as well. Anywhere else ? Do you ever inject the feet of your Raptors? Thanks for answering as many as you can. I wore out the pause button while watching your video...learning a lot. Thanks
Очень хорошее видео. Ждём новые ролики.

ANOTHER AMAZING MOUNT!! WHERE IS YOUR SHOP BRO???
Lethbridge, Alberta.
@@ArtofTaxidermy cool Bro!! You mount Lots of Stuff That needs VERY SPECIAL Permits here in USA. Like Eagles, Raptors, etc. I enjoy watching your videos. You have madd talents
Thanks a bunch. Yes we are a bit more fortunate in that regard in Canada.
@@ArtofTaxidermy it’s a BIG Deal to even mount an Owl for a museum here! I mounted a GREAT HORNED OWL 🦉 Once years ago for a museum and they handed me a stack of paperwork that I had to Keep until mounted and in their possession. Lol. Was VERY COOL Experience tho! I couldn’t believe how SMALL Their actual Body was, how Huge The Skull and Eye Sockets were, etc. You are VERY BLESSED Bro!!!
Stunning stuff. Spent a good long time on your website, highly impressed! May I ask, what is the green stuff you use to tape the wings? Looks very handy but I can't find anything similar with a wire through it like that.
You wont find it,, because you have to make them. painters green tape with some fine wire .. .. cheers
@@ArtofTaxidermy Oo cheers for that, I was wondering if they were some home made miracle. Great idea and I'll have to try that myself some time!
How are the talons done? I found dead hawk in bad shape but the feet were fine and fresh so i kept them and some feathers.
Can I preserve the talons?
you need to inject them with preservatives... if you dont they will dry too and will probably be fine but wont look natural, they will shrink down.
@@ArtofTaxidermy I might just try that in the future. I've already salted them. They seem fine so far. Im giving them another week before I check on them again.
Where do you get your forms?
I carve them all.
6:02.. how to stable the pose of the wings? Only pin can do it🧐 .. enlight me please🙏
I’m not an expert never tried taxidermy but from what I’ve seen I think you should install a wire down the wings😇
@@birbbirb6420 yeah.. i see the wire to🙏.. but its confuse me.. does it need any other ingredients like glue? what glue is used?
there are pros and cons to using wire all the way in the wing. more cons than pros. hard to explain .
Glue ? where ? I use glue yes, its the silicone based caulk.
@@ArtofTaxidermy is caulk applied to form? On skull? Where else? At what point? Thanks. Going to watch YHBB vid next
Hello please name grey material ? 00:30 minutes
Backing Rod, Foam Rod, it is used in construction for filling gaps.
Do you put out the brain?
not sue if I know what you mean by putting out the brain?
@@ArtofTaxidermy I'm just curious, I found a head of a dear and I flayed but It stinks horribly,I think it's because of the brain. How can I get rid of it without damaging the skull?
