all of this "you're not dark, you're regular/medium brown" stuff is a hot mess 😂 a true 'regular brown" is still considered a dark color. of course brown comes in different variations and it's ok to acknowledge that when referencing things like foundation shades, but my skin whether anyone else likes it or not is still considered dark especially in the cosmetic spectrum. I really did not want that to be the local point of the video but, here we are -_- I will continue to love my chocolate (and dark) skin regardless 🙌🏾

Jackie Aina LMFAO! I can't believe that people have said that you're not dark skin or that you're "light skin". I use things you recommend because we're around the same skin complexion and I've never been called anything except dark skin.

Samantha Jaé I'm already halfway out of this conversation cause the way you worded that gets a MAJOR side eye. Obviously there's a difference in their skin tone🙄 What I said is that I don't get labeling someone "brown" as opposed to "dark." Being dark skin vs light skin stems from slavery and passing the paper bag test that decided whether you would be in the house as opposed to in the field. Whether you're considered "brown" or "dark" society will treat you the same cause you have a darker complexion than they'd like.
Even as a pasty pale ass white girl, I really prefer giving my monies to makeup companies who work for people of deeper skin tones. I know how much trouble I have finding really ultra fair COOL TONED foundation products, and I know that it is even harder for those beautiful WOC in my life. So I am here to co-sign what you said about Too Faced making a setting powder in darker shades. Come on, Too Faced!

I've always had such bad luck finding a product that makes me look pore-less and then one day after watching you I decided to set my primer with powder before my foundation and GIRL. THANK U. it literally smoothed over every single pore even on camera and I have the 7+ sis that shit works
Aria Molloy Girl no! If you've ever seen someone block their brows out, they layer foundation over powder after gluing them down to make their brows smooth. This rule that you can't put cream/liquid over powder is a myth. Just make sure you have a good powder.

I thought it would but it didnt! It actually made it last longer and it was so full coverage. It might not work for everyone but you should at least try it its worth a shot!
Letting my concealer dry down before blending it out has been the SINGLE most helpful tip I've learned from TH-cam. That tip seriously changed the under-eye game ✨👊🏿

Kendra Lively if you only let it sit for a minute or so longer than you normally do, it shouldn't be too hard to blend out. Of course, that depends on the formula

Jackie, Urban Decay has a setting powder that can be mixed with your foundation. Please, pretty please review it. I haven't gotten the courage yet to lay down a layer of powder before applying my foundation like you do but I'm very curious about these techniques.

PrettyH8Mach1n3 I get that. Having most friends that are African American, there is this constant war between dark and light within that community. It's not only geared towards darker but also towards the lighter skinned individuals as well. I think at this point it is the community itself putting each other down and that's something that I see all the time and that is what I am talking about. In addition to everyone being beautiful I'm happy that now people need to understand, in all communities that dark is and always has been beautiful. I see that a little more now and I hope it continues to be that way.

I do the technique with Revlon Banana Power, it works a dream! and you won't see flashback unless your hunting for it in photos.. It looks exceptional with a light bronzer over it.... I would definitely recommend😊😊
