Klopp was in 2 finals in 1st season (8th in league), 4th in 2nd season (first full season), 4th in 3rd season (ECL runners up), 2nd in 4th season (UCL winners), 1st in 5th season (Super Cup & Club World Cup), 3rd in 6th season, 2nd in 7th season (FA winners, LC winners, UCL runners-up). His first 2 full seasons weren't ass were they!? Not amazing or anything but there were hints of improvement along the way, dynamic football, etc. Plus I don't think he threw quite as much cash away as Ten Hag has done in such a short period of time. There's a major difference too where Klopp and Arteta seem to actually be trying to gee players along, show some passion and spirit, and buy into the club ethos, whereas Ten Hag just seem completely devoid of drive or personality.

It is a difficult situation to be in all round. I would say because now they have Radcliffe and appointmented people like Ashworth and Wilcox, it would be worth giving ETH another season. I think the first thing that needs to happen is a complete strip of the first team, some players have been there a lot longer than ETH that should have been booted years ago or others just aren't good enough. Start with a player clear out and give the manager time with the new appointments.

Some United fans just don't get it or want to admit it, I've had this same argument a few times, they compare Ten Hag with Klopps first few seasons, claiming Ten Hag is better because it took less time to win a trophy, but Liverpool fans could see an improvement in how they play from game 1, by the end of Klopps first season everyone could see how Liverpool played, still nobody knows what Uniteds style is, and it's not even surprising anymore to see them beaten by teams lower in the league, I'm not even going to get into how much money has been spent and the amount of players that seem to be going backwards or stagnating, they've some good young talent who I fear for under this management

United have had some pretty decent managers over the last 11 years, who have done great things with other teams. It's like groundhog day now; everyone calls for 'X' manager to go, new manager comes in, gets hyped to high heaven only to struggle. And repeat.
The issues are far more widespread than simply replacing Ten Hag. Pick any manager you want, and they'll face most of the same problems. United have allowed their issues to fester over years and it'll take way more than a new manager to sort it. Get ready for all of this again in another season or 2.

Ten hag is worst out of all of them so your point is irrelevant. Are you saying keep him forever no matter how well he does? Or are you saying we should still have Moyes as manager?
You fail, you get sacked. There’s no vision of the future under him. The fact that other managers failed doesn’t mean ten hag will magically succeed if given a lifetime contract.
I’ve never been convinced by ETH. Many times this season I have said “he’s out of his depth”.
The 22-23 season was a bit of luck really. We had a far far better goalkeeper, who saved us many times. We had Rashford actually scoring goals. But even then I thought we were average and only got to where we did, because other teams had poor seasons.
23-24 season, we’ve had countless injuries, we’ve bought a clueless goalkeeper and Rashford a shadow of himself.
But like Simon says, in those two seasons I’ve not seen anything that convinces me he can motivate the team, or get the best out of the players he’s got. And tactical substitutions - I don’t think he gets that right either.
BUT… I also look back into history. It took SAF 6 seasons for him to turn things around. So maybe we need to give ETH a chance under the new structure?
I'm not a fan of ETH either. I'm at the stage where I'm like 'ok I don't believe he's the man for the job, however does getting rid of him really solve anything?' No matter what manager comes in were in the same position we've been in for the last 10 years. I also think it's harsh to blame everything on ETH when Rashford has been awful this year, injuries have been an issue but that's no excuse for the performances, Onana has been at fault for a large number of goals, defence is terrible, midfield is terrible and tbf attack is also terrible

Ten Hag is the right man for Manchester United. Give him the players he wants from Ajax and everything will go back to normal.
Despite this seasons performance (partly due to injuries) the only reason Ten hag deserves to go is the signings he has made at his time at united. Most of the signings have been horrible decisions from day 1. Mount and Antony were not what this club needed at the times they were signed. The club overspent on Hojlund as well. A younger and highly rated number 6 is what the club should have put they're efforts into from the day he arrived.

ETH is the man for me. Last season what he did with this team, was enough for me to trust. This season United is unlucky and few players who don't deserve still get chances and then take it for granted. It's the right time for Club to back its manager and pass the right message to the players.
Utd Cup run: Wigan, Newport County, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Coventry City (on pens). Apart from Liverpool what an easy run they have had and yet still struggled to beat those lower league teams. I hope that they get absolutely mullered in the final.

I totally agree with Simon Jordan when he says keeping Ten Hag because Utd think there are no alternatives is a failing. This is something that Gary Neville keeps saying, that there are no alternatives to Ten Hag, which I think is absolute nonsense. There is a world of very good coaches out there, 5 or 6 in South America who are making a name for themselves reinventing attacking football! They would love to get the chance to manage the biggest Premier League club! Why don't Utd do their due diligence, as Simon says, and start looking globally for the right coach, and start talking to the right people?
