This was a great reply. And I'm sure Lecrae and Kendrick probably talked behind the scenes before Lecrae dropped this. And this is a great contrast to Kendrick's beef with Drake. Instead of trading songs to tear each other down, Lecrae traded songs with Kendrick to build up the name of Christ and encourage him.

Never heard Lecrae’s music before and turned away from religion many years ago. This was powerful and a beautiful counterbalance to the justifiable anger and despair that Kdot put on display in Watch the Party Die. It takes a lot to hold in your heart the idea that you MUST take up your cross before your crown.

@@parkermudsen1063 basically the point is the world will be the world , some people will choose the darker side , there is nothing Kendrick or any of his songs can do to change that , the label heads will push what they want , the kids will listen to the toxic rappers , We as people can not stop that but Christ died for the ones that do want to get away from being like the world. If he stopped the party completely none of us would be here to even receive the message , because none of us are good, So if you really want to uproot evil you'd have to get rid of every single human , that's what watching the party die would be , But Jesus give us a way out, it's his righteousness that God views us through , not our own, and He was merciful to give us a second chance to accept him and go to him, instead of uprooting every human being because we are not good, none of us are perfect. But those that want to keep choosing the darker side , they will pay for that , but those of us who want to avoid the darker side , We are saved through Jesus, But we can't end all evil in the world by ourselves as humans , because there's always going to be the others that willingly choose it. So the answer is what Jesus did on the cross, Kendrick alone , his new earth that he rapped about on watch the party die, he can not create it with any of his music and all of a sudden everyone will change and want to be better, That new earth, Jesus is the way to it, what he did on that cross is the key to what Kendrick craves so much in this world, the key to that new earth for those that really do want to stay away from the unrighteous world we see today.
