SSC Tuatara Record - Did It Happen?!?

My opinion on validity of the SSC Tuatara breaking the production car top speed record. Long and short I say YES - they just need to deliver the proof.

They paced it with a helicopter. When it was pacing the car, at one point, the alleged speed exceeded the limit of the helo.
There are plenty of people who are suckers, even rich ones, who are egotistical and want the bragging rights.
It wasn't verified/validated as they said.
